Safety issues lack of concern for customers I have previously given this dealer several 5 star reviews. We purchased the vehicle new in December 2023. We also purchased the “special VIP” pack that gua previously given this dealer several 5 star reviews. We purchased the vehicle new in December 2023. We also purchased the “special VIP” pack that guaranteed priority services and loaner vehicle. Unfortunately something has changed significantly at Happy Hyundi of Libertyville. We brought our vehicle in for service and it was found to have a broken coupler. The part needed to be ordered, which is understandable. The vehicle is 2 years old with 28k miles so it will be covered under warranty to a limited degree. They will replace the broken coupler but we must pay for the alignment that is needed after warranty work. My wife asked if it was safe to drive and was told yes no issue whatsoever. The problem seemed to be getting worse. When we researched broken coupler all sources said do not drive and it is a safety issue. After several phone calls to the dealer they agreed to send us loaner car and they would “drive” the Palisade back to the dealership. The porter was to have the vehicle to our house no later than 10 am the next morning. We received a phone call at 9:a 45 asking if we wanted to reschedule the drop off because the driver was stuck in traffic with the car. We said no as we needed the car. 1 1/2 hours latter he showed up at the house. The car was filthy dirty, see pictures. Again after several calls and to the dealership and several hours we were able to get a replacement vehicle that was at least washed and vacuumed. They extreme lack of detail and concern for safety issue unacceptable. Additionally this dealership must be restricted on the number of phone calls they are allowed to place because they very rarely return phone call. It seems calls to the sales managers help to get any movement or resolution. More
This place claims to offer a price match guaranty and requires you to come to their dealership with the written offer. When I held their sales manager Abel accountable to hold up their end of their promise, he accused me of bullying him and claimed the offer I had wasn't valid because it wasn't signed. I sent them the signed offer to no response. This is a dealership that gives car dealers a sleazy reputation, which is shameful since so many dealers are honest, hard working people. I would not recommend working with this dealership. More

Do we need an escort?!!, Our sales rep was “roachy” and relies on high-pressure tactics rather than letting the car speak for itself. We even had to wait for the store manager to supposedly “Thank us for coming in” when in reality, he asked, “So what time will you be back tomorrow?” (Um. NEVER!). If I didn’t know better, I would think they were filming a spoof on how not to get one’s business. More

The sales and finance team were well aware of these plans and knew we needed the title quickly. I received endless emails asking for referrals for their dealership but not a single update on my paperwork, which was delayed. It took multiple phone calls over a 2.5 month period to finally get the paperwork submitted. Once received by the state of Illinois, the title was issued in just over 2 weeks. A three month delay due to... I have no idea because no one ever gave me a straight answer or taken ownership of their fault in the matter. Save yourself the hassle, take your money and business elsewhere. More
I purchased a palisade from Hyundai Libertyville a couple years ago and bought out my lease so decided to purchase some warranties. At the time I was told I could cancel them at any time. Since, we've had so years ago and bought out my lease so decided to purchase some warranties. At the time I was told I could cancel them at any time. Since, we've had some car issues and none seemed to be covered under the warranties we decided to cancel the warranties. I called to cancel and was told I had to come in person to sign paperwork. Fine. I went in person on 6/20/24 to sign papers. I do not live close. Today it's 8/22/24. After going in person and calling 7x, they still have not canceled my warranty. I'm still paying monthly. No one will return my calls. This is so unprofessional. While we really like the Palisade, I will never be back to this dealer. More
Recently bought a used car from this shop. We noticed that it had some scratches from what looked like a minor side swipe on one side. Before agreeing to purchase, we asked if those scratches could be removed, otherwise we were not interested in the car. We were told yes, no issue. We came back to pick up the car over the weekend, but before doing so, my husband called to confirm the scratches were removed. We were told yes, they were taken care of. We show up to pick up the car and the scratches were still there. They then took the car to their detail center and said all fixed. I asked if they were going to come back the second the car was washed and was told No. Went to get the car washed today and guess what magically re-appeared, all of the scratches. So now we have to take this car to a body shop. Very unsatisfied with their service. They meet all the stereotypes of used car salesmen. Would never use unless you like being lied to. More
