Libertyville Chevrolet is the place to go to buy your new or used Chevrolet cars and trucks. I have been going to this Chevrolet dealership for over 30 years. The building has been recently remodeled and it or used Chevrolet cars and trucks. I have been going to this Chevrolet dealership for over 30 years. The building has been recently remodeled and it looks fresh and clean. The current owner took over this dealership a few years ago and in my opinion it just keeps improving and remains consistently at the highest level of service, friendliness and professionalism. I am a car and truck fanatic and I depend on my vehicles for personal and business use. I purchase, on average, 5 vehicles a year from Impala's to Camaro's to Corvette Z06's to Silverado's and beyond. I purchase both new and used vehicles and Libertyville Chevrolet always has plenty of inventory to satisfy my new or used car needs. In the rare cases where they do not have what I need on the lot, they go out and get it for me. Every time the owner of Libertyville Chevrolet (Jim Spellman) is at the dealership the same time I am, he goes out of his way to come over to see how I am doing and he makes sure I am being taken care of. My car and truck salesman is Keith Gunning and for many years he has given me the best service I could ask for. He makes my vehicle buying experience fun and enjoyable. Even though I know I am far from being his only client, Keith always makes me feel like I am the most important person to him every time I walk into the dealership. When it comes to the money and financing part of purchasing vehicles, which usually can be the most stressful part of buying a vehicle, Libertyville Chevrolet has the best finance man around in Brad Williams. Over the years Brad has proven his knowledge and expertise in the automobile financing arena as he always gets me the best rates with the best banks. He knows all aspects of the automobile financing process which assures me that in the end I am going to get the best deal possible(purchase price, trade in value, interest rates, special offers, rebates, warranties, etc). Brad makes the financing phase of the vehicle purchasing process seem effortless. In the service department there is none better than Kevin Paddock. I have always had a special interest in Corvettes. I have owned over 35 Corvettes from the oldest to the newest and there is nobody I would rather have taking care of my Corvettes than Kevin Paddock. I have been taking my vehicles to Kevin for so long now that I not only consider him an expert craftsman and mechanic, I also consider him a friend. Libertyville Chevrolet and all the people that work there that I depend on when it comes to my cars and trucks are the best there is. I am so satisfied with this dealership on all levels that I never comparative shop when I am buying a car or truck. It's simple for me. When I need a vehicle I go to one place and one place only: Libertyville Chevrolet. More
I highly recommend Libertyville Chevrolet if you are looking for a new vehicle (or used)! Very professional yet friendly staff, knowledgable and willing to work with you. From the moment we stepped looking for a new vehicle (or used)! Very professional yet friendly staff, knowledgable and willing to work with you. From the moment we stepped into the dealership we felt at ease. The place was very busy yet we were greeted right away by the general manager, Andrew Richter. We were introduced to Adam Freese, our salesperson, who took the time to gauge exsctly what our needs might be and what type of vehicle would be best for us. We never felt hustled or pressured. During our test drive, we were encouraged to explore all the features and options. All our questions were answered and we felt we had a good basis on which to make our decision. The actual "sales" process was painless and quick, despite the heavy volumne of traffic in the dealership and the number of sales transacted that day. Brad Williams was most helpful in acquainting us with the options and special packages available to enhance our vehicle purchase. When we are ready to replace our other vehicle, we will make Libertyville Chevrolet our first (and probably only) stop in the process. I have only the highest praise for the people there and their integrity and loyalty speaks for itself. More

This is the second purchase with this dealership and both have been Corvettes. They are very professional and great to work with. I was at this dealership on 4/29/10 and test drove a 2006 Nissan 350Z with 43,000 miles on it. I had a few things I wanted fixed on the vehicle so I talked them down from $16,900 to $16,000 and signed a PUR Nissan 350Z with 43,000 miles on it. I had a few things I wanted fixed on the vehicle so I talked them down from $16,900 to $16,000 and signed a PURCHASE CONTRACT/BILL OF SALE for a total of $17,505.94 (tax, title etc. included) with the agreement that they would fix the problems I noticed on the car. They ordered parts the following day and expected to get them in from Nissan on 5/4/10 and would take a day or so to fix and then I could pick up my car. I then insured the car on 5/3/10 so that it would be ready to go for pickup on either 5/4/10 or 5/5/10. I called the place on 5/4/10 to get an update and they stated that they sold the car on Saturday 5/1/10 for more money to someone who didn't want the things fixed that I had listed in my contract. They NEVER called to tell me they sold the car. I went on with normal business and researched extended warranties as well as call up and insure my car with Geico. The salesman didn't even have the guts to call and tell me he sold it behind my back even with my contract! Talk about a coward! I signed a contract that only the dealer could back out of! How shady is that! I spoke with a friend that is a car salesman and he said that is very shady and that no respectable dealership would allow that. I just hope they make up for what they have done, they owe me big time. If there is a prime example of unethical business, this is it! 5/21/10: I was contacted by Libertyville Chevrolet and offered $100 for my troubles and $1.97 to compensate for the 1 day of insurance I paid on the vehicle that I was never "officially" sold due to some loopholes in the contract I signed. Due to the lack of prompt communication and an overall shady deal gone bad, I respectfully declined the $101.97 offer. I'll let the consumers decide for themselves when reading both my response and the dealer's response. At a minimum, it is good for consumers to know that even by signing a contract, they do not officially own the car and it is not held for them. If you want to avoid this type of problem, you apparently have to put a down payment on the car even though they do not tell you this. By not putting a down payment on the car they can sell it to anyone else who offers them more money (a great situation for a dealer to be in, not the buyer). I don't think this type of business practice is common, but it happened to me, so buyer beware... More

I would recommend family and friends to do biz with these guys. I will again. I'm looking forward to working with there High Performance service guys they have on staff there in the future. Will bring my Vette in there too. I sense this dealership recognizes that a customer will not remember in the future what was said or what the details of the deal were, but they know the customer will always remember how they felt about the experience. Jon Berna, Doug Nykel, and Justin Fullmer all made it a great buying experience for me. Good guys all around. More
First, let me start out by saying if you loved Pontiac and are disappointed the brand has been discontinued, consider the 2010 Chevy Malibu. I just purchased this car and I love it! And if you are in th and are disappointed the brand has been discontinued, consider the 2010 Chevy Malibu. I just purchased this car and I love it! And if you are in the market for a new Chevy, your best place to shop is Libertyville Chevy. As someone who did his due diligence shopping around, nobody was as courteous and professional as the team at Libertyville Chevy, not to mention their willingness to negotiate a great price. There were some other things that really stood out about Libertyville Chevy: I sent Internet quote requests to 20 Chevy dealers in the Chicagoland area. About half of them don't give a number at all, just a reply that states "let's set up an appointment." And out of the other half that do provide a quote, Jon Berna gave the best quote out of all of them. If you're shopping for a new Chevy, make sure to include Libertyville Chevy in your process. Their willingness to negotiate was greater than any other dealers in the area. I went there 3 nights in a row after work and kept getting better and better each time. Other dealers I went to couldn't match this dedication and you will get the best price at Libertyville Chevy. I have a GM credit card where I've accumulated a cash back rebate. When I purchased my new Malibu 1LT, GM didn't authorize the full amount I earned. I was obviously upset, but Scott (general mgr.) called GM on my behalf and worked it out with them. Every last penny I earned as a rebate was rewarded and this was because Scott cared enough about my situation that he made sure I was taken care of. This is customer service that can't be matched. They offer a "tires-for-life" program. That's right, when your tires start to get old and need replacement, they will give your 4 new tires for free. Just maintain (oil changes, tire rotations, etc) your vehicle at their service center and you qualify! All-in-all, I'm sure there are some other good Chevy dealers in the area, but nobody is better than the team at Libertyville Chevy. From selection, to price, to their customer service, you won't be disappointed. More
