Yoyo scam and bank fraud Hello, My name is Casey LeBlanc and I recently leased a 2017 Trax from Liberty Chevrolet in Wakefield back in July and was told by the team over the Hello, My name is Casey LeBlanc and I recently leased a 2017 Trax from Liberty Chevrolet in Wakefield back in July and was told by the team over their that I was approved and i drove the car off the lot about 3 days later and its registered and has MA Plates on it. I received a phone call a week later stating I needed to send in tax returns and had spoke left a message for the dealership and stated I was puzzled because I filled out the 4506-t but can ask to get copies of tax returns and send them in. I didn't hear anything so I assumed everything was ok until August 30th. On August 30th I received a message from the dealership and they stated if I did not return their phone call the bank was going to take legal action and repossess my car if I didn't send in bank statements. I called the dealershp back and I said why do you need bank statements and was unsure why they would say such a thing because I hadn't even received the statement for my first payment for the new lease. I spoke to the finance manager who was super unprofessional and even told me he didn't want to give me the number to GM financial but I stated I need to find out for myself what the bank needs and he was hostile and finally gave me the number. I called GM and they told me that there was no file but it stated the car was returned to the dealership but the there was not file under my name or social security number. I spoke to the dealership again and they told me it was with underwriting now and they were going to call me back and they did not call back. I received a letter from GM Financial stating I was not approved for the loan but I am driving the car and have been since July and its now September 2nd. I have reached out to the Attorney General, an attorney that I may hire and I have also reached out to consumer affairs as well. I just don't know what to do because I was told it was approved and I've been driving this car since July. The dealership took my deposit and said I commuted bank fraud! Best, Casey More

The atmo Liberty Chevy presented me with the most relaxed experience out of the handful of dealerships I visited throughout my search for a new truck. The atmosphere in Liberty's showroom was different than most dealerships I visited. It was relaxed but attentive, the staff was very polite and welcoming. As a recent college graduate, this was my first "big-ticket" purchase, which added an element of pressure to the situation, as I had no real experience buying anything I needed to finance. Which lead to a lot of hesitation on my part throughout the search. Most of the dealerships I visited tried to pressure me into making decisions on the spot; some even went as far as to say the offer would be pulled if I walked out the door. At Liberty, I never got the feeling anyone was playing hardball with me. The staff was more than willing to let me take my time with any decision I was going to make. In fact, I was in and out of the dealership three times before I signed any paperwork. After I signed, they still displayed the same patience and courtesy they had before, making me feel like they not only wanted to lock down a sale, but wanted to provide a good car buying experience. More

Over a month worth of issues and headaches for a simple fix, and I am no longer a chevy owner and will never go back because of this dealership. More
