Bait and switched vehicles anyways, VIN numbers didn't match, got berated when questioning details about the vehicles, including their overly expensive "bumper to bumper" warranty that in the fine print is closer to a bumper and bumper warranty. Avoid at all costs. More

I came back and they told me they had nothing to do with it and quoted me over $600 on the spot to get it replaced. I let it go. Then more issues started to occur within my vehicle, and at this point it was very obvious that they did something. I came in and they told me there was an aftermarket harness connected from the fuse box to the battery. Why didn't they tell me this the first time I came back about my radio? They eagerly presented me with a quote of over $1,700 to fix everything. When I asked to see the harness they wanted to replace, they played dumb and did not want to show me. They claimed it was not their fault. My car was acting perfectly normal before I came in. They also told me it was not guaranteed that doing this would even fix my car. I thought these guys here were supposed to be experts? How do I know that they aren't making these things up just so they don't have to do the job for free? It was way too fishy. Do not come to this place as they will screw you over. I cannot believe this happened, and I hope it does not happen to anyone ever again. More

Worst customer service experience ever. First, the salesman George Scott has the personality of a dead cat. Typical car salesman too. Very sleazy like. Plus, he didn't even experience ever. First, the salesman George Scott has the personality of a dead cat. Typical car salesman too. Very sleazy like. Plus, he didn't even know much about the car he was showing us yet he claimed to be in the business for 30 years. The dealership is just as bad. They sold me a lemon and also lied to me. I called George the salesman letting him know I was dropping the car off and I needed a loaner he said he would call me back. When I got to the dealership, he said they don't have loaners because service was closed. The manager also told me the same lie however, the day I bought the car, left the dealership the car was having issues so I went back and guess what? They gave me a loaner even though the service dept. was closed. I don't deal well with liars and shysters. Libertyville Volkswagen is both. I am going to get rid of this lemon and buy a much better car from a more reputable dealer with salesman who have a personality, actually know what they are selling, and take care of their customers. If dealing with Libertyville Volkswagen...Caveat emptor!!!! More

Scam - price at dealer $1,000 higher than online I walked in to see a car that I saw online and they made wait ONE HOUR after the test-drive to talk to a salesman. Once we were able to sit down and d I walked in to see a car that I saw online and they made wait ONE HOUR after the test-drive to talk to a salesman. Once we were able to sit down and discuss the price, I found out that they charge a $1,000 "dealership fee" on top of the registration and documentation fee. It's a total scam, they just keep the prices low online to make you walk in, and than they charge you more when you're about to sign. Total scam. More

I tried getting car they had listed on internet for the price listed. They told me I had to come down, because they "don't negotiate over the phone". So, I drove the 75 min. to find out they wouldn't sell me the car anywhere near that price. Steve was the manager I dealt with. He was not a tool, but a tool box!!! No wonder they have the worst review I have ever seen with any company on the internet. More
