I live in Kentucky, so the drive for me would be over 6 hours straight. So I decided to make a weekend out of it, I met my mother in Indianapolis that Friday night and she drove me up there the next morning. I initially spoke with Nina Davis and went over everything with her and was approved, she assured me that all I would have to do is come in and sign my paperwork and be off with the car. Once I arrived there I saw the vehicle sitting up front. I went in and asked to speak to Gregg Sherman which is the person whom I was supposed to be finishing the paperwork part with. Instead I was given the run around for the first 10 to 15 minutes, then was greeted by Mr Sherman. He was not aware of my arrival nor the vehicle that I was applying for financing for,but instead he sat down with me and went over everything in detail and got me squared away. I then was told to go to the waiting room and I would be greeted by the finances manager Mr Jason Ryan. After a 30 minute wait or so I was greeted by Mr Ryan and he took me back to his office to finish the financing paperwork for the vehicle. He then proceeded to hand me papers and told me what they were as I singed them. After that was over I was handed the keys to the vehicle by Mr Sherman and on my way. The inside of the vehicle was flawless, very clean as I expected, but upon further inspection the door below the stereo upon pushing to unlatch it it would not swing up like it was supposed to. I notified Mr Sherman of this and he kind of brushed it off and acted like he did not know why it did that. So I told myself I would get it fixed later, I then attempted to start the car only to be surprised that the battery was dead. I went back inside and told Mr Sherman and he went and found a service associate who brought out a battery jumper so I could start it. After starting the car I drove off of the lot and started my drive back to my mother's house in Indianapolis. The next morning after getting everything packed and ready we started our journey back home to Kentucky. While driving down the interstate I could feel the car jumping as if the wheels were going to roll off of my car. It was a very unpleasant ride, that sent up a red flag instantly. I had to be back to work Monday morning so I said I would take it to a local tire shop and try to figure out what was wrong. After work I took my vehicle to Big O to let them further examine it. Upon inspection the associate told me my tires were warped and show me the huge knots in my tires. So I had them change out the tires and put new ones on, which ran me around $180. So feeling that this was the fault of the dealership for neglecting to rotate my tires like they should have been I contacted Mr Ryan about this matter. We spoke frequently on the matter and he told me contact Mr Sherman about the issue, so I did and he told me that if I could send in a copy of the receipt he would try to help me as much as possible. I agreed to that and sent in the copy like he asked to Mr Ryans email, the reason it was sent to Mr Ryans email is because Mr Sherman does not have a business email. I spoke with these two back and forth all the way to Christmas with no result. I was last told by Mr Sherman when I spoke to him on the phone that he would investigate it and call me back. After Christmas I tried contacting Mr Sherman several times by phone with no luck, so I wrote Mr Ryan an email explaining to him what was going on. He told me that he would talk to Mr Sherman and get back with me. Today is March 27 2015, and even though Mr Ryan and I have been exchanging emails this issue still has not been addressed in a serious manner. I have left Mr Sherman several voicemail with no returned phone calls. So that leaves me no choice but to notify people how this establishment conducts business with their customers. I hope someone will read this and take note and not make the same mistake I did. More

NIGHTMARE IN LIBERTY AUTO PLAZA!!!!! !! BEWARE DON'T WALK AWAY, RUNNNNNNNNNNNN.......!!!!!!! Worst experience in my life and believe me I've purchased many vehicles at dealerships in !! BEWARE DON'T WALK AWAY, RUNNNNNNNNNNNN.......!!!!!!! Worst experience in my life and believe me I've purchased many vehicles at dealerships in my life but not any like this! I should have followed my instincts when I walked in and my wife said wow what a filthy place. after about 10 minutes the salesman Robert (don't deal with him or his used car sales manager). After a long chat he brought up the vehicle we were there to see, truck was filthy and smelled like a wet dog had been in it. We decided to drive the truck which drove good although I did notice a noise in the power steering which I brought to their attention. Robert told me don't worry we will fix it and we will give it a complete detail inside and out including the engine compartment. the exterior had some scratches and a dent on the back bumper, front drivers door needed a new hinge and the front passengers door trim pane had a dent. I brought all these issues up and Robert said" I promise I will take care of all these issues the truck will look like new". We did like the truck and were hesitant but he kept insuring us that the truck would look like new. We decided to go ahead with the deal and we had a trade in which he said they would give us what we owed on it, and pay it off, which I figured was a good deal. We finally get called in to do the paper work when I noticed the final price was $1500.00 over and when I looked they were only giving me $8000.00 and not the $9500.00. They had essentially added the $1500.00 to the sales price. I should have walked away then but after haggling again with Robert I settled for $8750.00 at this point I was so upset and tired we signed the paperwork and was given a promissory not of all the details that where to be repaired as I stayed above. I took my new vehicle home and brought it back 2 days later as I was told to do. They took two whole weeks and was told the vehicle was done after I called to complain why this was taking so long. I go to pick up the vehicle and the only thing they did to it was the door hinge and a oil change. I was now very upset as you can imagine. When I finally get to speak to Robert he said "that's all we can do, you cant expect to make this vehicle look new". He finally agreed to clean the engine compartment and give it an oil change as I complained that the oil was still black. I was told to bring it back on Monday for the oil change and when I get to the service department they tell me I don't have an appointment. Glen in the service department was very nice and said we will take care of it. I spoke to the assistant Manager about what was promised to me and that they had put it in writing and he said they would take care of it. To make a long story short I was told to bring it back again, mind you I live in Chicago that's a 40 Min drive, which I did this time it was there for a week and again I call Glen at the service Dept, they did not call me and says vehicle is ready. I pick up my vehicle and notice that the fuel gage is marking 1/4 tank, when I dropped it off I had 3/4 Tank of Gas and the vehicle had over 200 miles more than when I dropped it off. I was now sick to my stomach but I took my keys and drove away. Never again will I step foot in this Dealership and I hope you don't either. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! More
Terrible - check any used cars here with a trusted mechanic Don't walk away from this place. Run. I've been there a few times in the last few weeks since they are about the biggest dealership in Libertyville, a Don't walk away from this place. Run. I've been there a few times in the last few weeks since they are about the biggest dealership in Libertyville, and the only Kia, Nissan, and VW dealer for quite some distance. My wifes car just got totaled, and since we weren't expecting another car payment we are on the budget side of used cars. We looked at a Ford Flex a couple of weeks ago, and there was some obvious belt squealing going on. When I told the sales guy about it he told me that they probably just had not lubricated the belts in awhile, and that his service department could put some lubricant on them for me and the noise would stop. Which, might be true.. but it doesn't really solve the issue. So, last nightwe went in and saw a Kia Sorento we liked. There was a dent in the side panel that they said they would fix. Also, I told the sales guy the brakes seemed soft, and he said he was sure they were fine, that every vehicle gets a big inspection and any issues fixed. When I get serious about buying a car, I always take it to a mechanic that doesn't have a stake in the transaction for an inspection first, paid for out of my pocket. $65 later I learn that the drivers seat is loose, there is a major oil leak from way up inside somewhere that would require a bunch of disassembly to find, a significant power steering leak... oh, and the breaks I asked about? Rusted rotors and almost non-existent brake pads. So, don't trust these guys when they tell you about all the presales work they do on cars. If you really want to do business with them, take the car to your favorite mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection (I used the Lincoln dealer next door who we have a relationship with, but use whoever you like and trust). Being out $65-100 for an inspection is a better place to be than out $15,000+ because you bought a piece of garbage from these guys. More

Sandy with internet sales called me and said the van was available and that I should come in and look at it. I was told to ask for Will on the Kia side. Once I get there and after waiting for about 20 minutes, Will finally came and introduced himself. From there he directed me to another gentleman by the name of Eric Otto. Eric took me out to see the van and test drive it. Immediately while I knew I had a few other vans to look at, I REALLY liked this one. I asked Eric at that moment would they be willing to negotiate on the price and he immediately told me NO. He then gave me a card with his cell and said if I wanted to purchase the van to call him. While I was out looking at other vans, I really didn't want this one to slip away. I had my business partner to reach out to Eric and see if they would try and do something the pricing and Eric again told him NO and I followed up for a 3rd time and the answer was still NO. I had a white female within our organization to call and she asked for a price adjustment as well-guess what? They told her YES. This is very unfortunate as I have my own financing and I’m very credit worthy. I cut out probably 50% of the work they would normally do at a dealership and they absolutely refused to do a price adjustment but was more than willing to do it for the right person. All I can say is WOWWW More

Great Experience I purchased Nissan Rogue SV from Liberty Auto Plaza Dealership and had a great experience with them. They were very fast getting back to me wit I purchased Nissan Rogue SV from Liberty Auto Plaza Dealership and had a great experience with them. They were very fast getting back to me with the information that I needed and sent me the invoice through email before I went there to pick up the car. The communication was wonderful with them. They did exactly what they promised over the phone and held the car for me until I got there, which was a three hour drive. Their staff members were very friendly and accommodating to my wishes and willing to work with me on every aspect. Especially, the general manager, Steve, was excellent, leading the entire purchase process. I highly recommend the Liberty Auto Plaza. More
Buyer Beware. Hubby and I were looking to purchase a new vehicle and found one online. Throughout the day today, my husband was texting with George Solomon about t Hubby and I were looking to purchase a new vehicle and found one online. Throughout the day today, my husband was texting with George Solomon about the price. They discussed budget and George said that he could come down 1500 off of the asking price. We still have the text with the price of "what he can do". We then drove for an hour to get there. I should have suspected something was up when George wasn't there but some other guy who seemed nice enough. We test drove it and then sat down (in a dimly lit, dingy, filthy area that was definitely not part of the main dealer area.) As a plus the guy was great with my 4 year old daughter and got her a puzzle. Warning bells went off when he said he had to "get my manager to talk about the numbers." Manager Robert walked up and started talking some story about how it still needs detailing, inspection and something else and can let it go for $800 off the asking price. We said no way, that's not what you quoted us and got up to leave. He seemed insulted that we wanted it for that price. He was talking about how "this is a lot of car for that amount. No way could we take $1500 off the top." Like, how dare we? Well, if that's the case then why did your guy offer that amount? When someone says, "What can you do with the price?" And you respond with an amount, shouldn't that have to be honored? Now, I understand how business works. They need to make their money. However, they should NEVER have said yes to a price, lured us all the way up to their dealership and THEN tell us "of course we can't do that price." If they couldn't do that price then George Solomon shouldn't have said "I can do $xx,xxx." They had ALL day to text or notify us that it wasn't going to fly for whatever reason they wanted to give. Robert's attitude about the whole thing seemed so flippant, rude and disrespectful. i looked him right in the eye, pointed to my 4 year old daughter and said, "You know, to bring a FAMILY this far away to purchase a vehicle in good faith and then change the price once we're already here is horrible." And he didn't care. We drove 10 minutes away and purchased the same vehicle at another dealer. More
I brought my car in for suggested 100,000 mile maintenance last month. In the process, a bolt was sheered off. The service manager made the service center mistake my problem by charging me for the maintenance last month. In the process, a bolt was sheered off. The service manager made the service center mistake my problem by charging me for the work to repair that damage. I have purchased 2 cars from this dealership and do not intend to ever return. I bring my car to you for qualified service because I do not want to make this type of mistake. If a bolt is sheered off by a service technician, then he should slow down, apply heat and make sure the damage does not occur. That is what I expect when I pay top hour labor charges. More
I agreed upon a price with the salesman, then was sent to talk with Anthony Longobardi ( Business Manager ) who charged me $ 399.00 for window etching which was already on the car. When I got home and looke talk with Anthony Longobardi ( Business Manager ) who charged me $ 399.00 for window etching which was already on the car. When I got home and looked at the retail installment contract and called Anthony he tried to tell me a lot of B.S. Then Anthony said, your salesman told me your interested in buying another car, if you buy another new car within the next week or so I"ll take that amount off the next purchase. I will NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN, and am telling everyone that I talk to about what happened. More
