He made me feel wanted rather than needed. I suggest you talk to him rather than getting screwed by someone else. I love my new altima. I love it love it love it!!!! :))) More

For starters their internet price is a gimmick solely intended to get you in through the door. Everyone at the dealership is incredibly slow and some are unwilling to communicate. Worst of all, they will try their hardest to fleece you. I get that this is part of their job but I would prefer if they came out and told me all the charges as they were. It took us a good 1.5 hours just to get all the charges explained. They will try to cheat you with inaccurate math (or they just can't use calculators), so come prepared with paper and pen and calculator. That said, their cars are good and I could find no one in the area who can beat their prices, even with the add-ons. They're worth a shot, but don't go expecting great service on any front. More
Fools gold Before I get to the negatives, I want to say that initially, this was a good transaction with very friendly staff, but I cannot leave a good review fo Before I get to the negatives, I want to say that initially, this was a good transaction with very friendly staff, but I cannot leave a good review for the following reasons... 1) I am from out of state and flew to Chicago to purchase this car. The initial listing for the car was misleading in both price and specifications of the car. The listing said it had both a sunroof and backup camera, which were part of the deciding factors for this car. The car had neither and upon learning this I received no apology, or attempt to rectify the situation, just that the listing was wrong and they are not sure how that happened. This was after I called to verify. 2) There was a $400 "dealer prep" fee added on to the sale price for "oil change, full tank of gas, changing of fluids, and maintenance." When I got to the dealership and got the car, the tank was empty and when I asked for them to fill it they would only fill it half way. Additionally, the oil was unchanged and upon my first trip to the mechanic, I found out that none of the fluids had been changed, and my power steering fluid was dirty and transmission fluid needed topping off. 3) This is the big one: I was told the vehicle had new breaks. As it turns out, the breaks only have 30-40% life left on them, which means a new expense that I was unaware of. Overall, this was a very unsatisfactory experience and I would have a hard time recommending this dealership to anyone. And I think if anything, I deserve my $400 back for the money I have had to put into the car. It ended up being just as expensive as the car i could have gotten here in Kansas. More
Typical bait and switch They advertise a 2013 Kia Optima new. Called to verify price and that it is indeed new. I was told yes on everything. Get there they try selling me a 2015 .and the 2013 has 6600 miles on it and says used.on top of that they would not even honor there price. Really poor run dealership do not waste your time. Libertyville should be ashamed to have there dealer in town. More
The WORST salesman and experience ever!!! My first visit into this place told me not to return, however, I saw a vehicle that I really wanted on the website and sent them a text regarding pics. I received a CALL Back from a "Mike" But everyone who works here says there name is mike... any who, He called telling me about a vehicle that i was interested in 2 months prior and how he had many other suvs that weren't online yet. ANYWAY, I went in and test drove the suv, that he told me I would NEVER get, with my credit. I asked him about another vehicle and had to argue him down just too test drive it. He kept telling me how it wouldn't work with the bank an d kept feeding me xx about it requires a down payment, and then it was not eligible, then it had too many miles... Just a whole lot a xx. I finally got to drive it and i came back and said, I Want it, he told me I cant get it because ofmy credit is bad and i need 15% down and a slough of other xxxxxxxx!!!... He really wanted to FORCE Me into the first vehicle I test Drove. Of course he had his little folder all prepared when I came back from the drive. After I argued with him again about how he was feeding me xxxxxxxx, I asked for my check stubs and left. He come out the door asking me IS That a NO on the Sorento. You get the Picture. Don't deal with these ppl the way they do business is very grimy. These ppl treat you lie they are the only car dealers on earth that you can go to. They try to make you feel bad when your credit is not perfect. when in actuality there are plenty of banks willing to take a risk on you! And that is what tI had to inform this Half xxx car salesman. He failed to realize that I had just been approved and that there are other banks available. More
THE WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER I had the worst possible buying experience at Liberty Auto Plaza. I would not send my dog Glory there to purchase a vehicle. I test drove a car that I I had the worst possible buying experience at Liberty Auto Plaza. I would not send my dog Glory there to purchase a vehicle. I test drove a car that I really wanted. The salesman inadvertently put the wrong stock number down and the wrong car was financed. As I was unpacking my trade in getting ready to put my belongings in the car I thought I was purchasing, the finance manager came running... that is the wrong car. We put the financing on the black car. I asked.. is it the same. I was told it was the exact same car accept it didn't have a sun roof. They were all saying well with your credit take it, bring it back in a year, it is the same. I felt pressured, and rushed so made the mistake of taking the car, trusting what they were telling me. I slowly began to see that the car didn't even have some of the features that my 13 year old jeep that I traded in had, and that the car that I test drove had that they said was the same. THEY ARE LIARS! THEY CHEATED me and I was not treated fairly. I tried to take the car back. I was told to keep it because now I am underwater with the loan. In 3 weeks I have found out that the car was overpriced, I can only get the car's worth in a trade in. I am now more than 7000 underwater in a car that is Blue book priced at 12,000! What a rip off and what liars. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. They tried to work with me by putting me in a more expensive car with a higher note. How about giving me my old Jeep back and canceling this deal. How about saying, we made a mistake, let's get you in the car that you want and we will take on the expense of canceling the deal and righting the wrong. I am sure that they have ripped off enough other people that they can pay the finance company. Last but not least, I went to try to trade the car in at another establishment, where I was told that it was only worth 12,000 after I had paid 17 and that the tires are bad with no treads. This was after they told me the tires were new! THEY ARE LIARS! DO NOT GO THERE. I am going to the better business bureau, seven on seven and anyone who will here my story including Nissan International. It is a shame that in 2015 a person can not go and purchase a vehicle without being taken advantage of. AGAIN DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! More
Just bad all around service! If I could give zero stars I would! I don't know where to start but the long and short is stay away you are better off going anywhere else and all the If I could give zero stars I would! I don't know where to start but the long and short is stay away you are better off going anywhere else and all the bad reviews are not a lie. First of all there internet prices are more of a marketing gimmick. I was speaking to 2 customers during my process that felt the same way. Ok sales is what it is right.. so I can get past that but the Sales Manager was just plain old rude. When I let him know I wasn't moving forward with what they were proposing he had the nerve to say " go on..get out of here" I was in complete shock. well will let you go before you get in trouble.. I will never go to any of there locations again and I definitely plan on writing a letter to Corporate as my list of issues are way to long to list on this review. Buyer beware! More
Terrible Experience!! I purchased a 2009 Nissan Altima from Liberty Nissan back in of October 31 2014. I live in Kentucky, so the drive for me would be over 6 hours straight. So I decided to make a weekend out of it, I met my mother in Indianapolis that Friday night and she drove me up there the next morning. I initially spoke with Nina Davis and went over everything with her and was approved, she assured me that all I would have to do is come in and sign my paperwork and be off with the car. Once I arrived there I saw the vehicle sitting up front. I went in and asked to speak to Gregg Sherman which is the person whom I was supposed to be finishing the paperwork part with. Instead I was given the run around for the first 10 to 15 minutes, then was greeted by Mr Sherman. He was not aware of my arrival nor the vehicle that I was applying for financing for,but instead he sat down with me and went over everything in detail and got me squared away. I then was told to go to the waiting room and I would be greeted by the finances manager Mr Jason Ryan. After a 30 minute wait or so I was greeted by Mr Ryan and he took me back to his office to finish the financing paperwork for the vehicle. He then proceeded to hand me papers and told me what they were as I singed them. After that was over I was handed the keys to the vehicle by Mr Sherman and on my way. The inside of the vehicle was flawless, very clean as I expected, but upon further inspection the door below the stereo upon pushing to unlatch it it would not swing up like it was supposed to. I notified Mr Sherman of this and he kind of brushed it off and acted like he did not know why it did that. So I told myself I would get it fixed later, I then attempted to start the car only to be surprised that the battery was dead. I went back inside and told Mr Sherman and he went and found a service associate who brought out a battery jumper so I could start it. After starting the car I drove off of the lot and started my drive back to my mother's house in Indianapolis. The next morning after getting everything packed and ready we started our journey back home to Kentucky. While driving down the interstate I could feel the car jumping as if the wheels were going to roll off of my car. It was a very unpleasant ride, that sent up a red flag instantly. I had to be back to work Monday morning so I said I would take it to a local tire shop and try to figure out what was wrong. After work I took my vehicle to Big O to let them further examine it. Upon inspection the associate told me my tires were warped and show me the huge knots in my tires. So I had them change out the tires and put new ones on, which ran me around $180. So feeling that this was the fault of the dealership for neglecting to rotate my tires like they should have been I contacted Mr Ryan about this matter. We spoke frequently on the matter and he told me contact Mr Sherman about the issue, so I did and he told me that if I could send in a copy of the receipt he would try to help me as much as possible. I agreed to that and sent in the copy like he asked to Mr Ryans email, the reason it was sent to Mr Ryans email is because Mr Sherman does not have a business email. I spoke with these two back and forth all the way to Christmas with no result. I was last told by Mr Sherman when I spoke to him on the phone that he would investigate it and call me back. After Christmas I tried contacting Mr Sherman several times by phone with no luck, so I wrote Mr Ryan an email explaining to him what was going on. He told me that he would talk to Mr Sherman and get back with me. Today is March 27 2015, and even though Mr Ryan and I have been exchanging emails this issue still has not been addressed in a serious manner. I have left Mr Sherman several voicemail with no returned phone calls. So that leaves me no choice but to notify people how this establishment conducts business with their customers. I hope someone will read this and take note and not make the same mistake I did. More
