On 5/26/23 I dropped my Toyota Camry off at Lia Toyota of Colonie, unscheduled, to address a maintenance issue which had arisen. My service advisor was Vanessa Radley. I thought bait and switch was illegal and a thing of the past. Not here apparently. I was called to tell me that a new van like what I wanted was on the lot and available. After an hour at the dealership th past. Not here apparently. I was called to tell me that a new van like what I wanted was on the lot and available. After an hour at the dealership the next morning, it was no longer available. However, they had another van coming in six weeks that I could have. It listed at $2700 more with options I had specifically said I did not want. This old time dealer game playing does not go on everywhere, but Lia seems to have not moved away from it. More

The staffs are always very helpful and professional, especially Tim Ellis and the shop manager- Steve; they always listen and follow up the issues and make sure the job is being done and the customer is especially Tim Ellis and the shop manager- Steve; they always listen and follow up the issues and make sure the job is being done and the customer is satisfied. They treat their clients as if we all bought $100,000 cars. The people who worked with me from Joe Harrigan (my salesman), to the gentleman who helped me with the extended warranty and to A J., who help cars. Customer service is excellent. Sales is,... used car sales. I made a bad deal. I need a truck with a bed cover so I traded a Tacoma with a bed cover for a Tundra with a bed Sales is,... used car sales. I made a bad deal. I need a truck with a bed cover so I traded a Tacoma with a bed cover for a Tundra with a bed cover. At the completion of the deal, I learned the bed cover was removed. I was not made aware of the recall until AFTER I transferred title of my trade in. I should have halted the sale the moment I realized the cover was removed. I take responsibility for a bad deal. Lia sells cars. They did their job. I doubt they will lose a single sale from my misfortune, but I've recounted my experience across social media and I suspect I've driven more than one buyer to a different dealership. It's been 4 months. I've spent about $700 in trailer rentals because I NEED TO SECURE MY CONTENTS. Lia was obliged by the recall to remove the cover. Lia was also aware of the recall prior to the sale. I financed the Tundra. The financing includes the cover. Neither Lia nor Toyota has offered to make good on the defective cover. The only post-sale contact I've had with Lia is regarding my complaint with the NYS Attorney General. They've asked me to "take it down". Imagine spending $1500 for an item and having the vendor simply say "you can't have it". I own it, but I can't possess it and I can only replace it at a loss. More
