Buying a car is so stressful and I knew exactly what I needed to move it along smoothly. Thanks Frank! I have concerns about my interactions with Larry. 1. He appeared unfriendly to Frank. 2. When I arrived to complete my paperwork, my credit score and financing bank were a surprise to me. I would have appreciated a phone call earlier in the day connecting with me, sharing with me what he pulled for my credit score and my financing options. I had to ask who I was financing with. He appeared more concerned selling me a service contract. 3. I had questions during the financing process and instead of addressing them, he instructed me to ask Frank. The process with him felt directed and not responsive to my needs. Working with Larry made me feel bad inside like I wanted to leave. I would not recommend Larry to anyone. He might be best working behind the scenes with financing or receive additional training in customer service. More

Bridgete the internet sales specialist r Our experience at Lia Nissan was less than wonderful. We inquired online about a used 2015 Frontier on 5/30. Bridgete the internet sales specialist returned our inquiry very quickly, was very friendly, and after our offer was accepted, we were transferred to salesman Joe chase to complete the sale. We planned to pay/sign/take delivery of the truck the morning of 5/31. We secured our own financing through our credit union, gave all our information via email or phone conversation to our salesperson, Joe Chase. Up to this point our experience was great. Mr. Chase called Wednesday evening and indicated that they were waiting on the lien release and asked if we could move the signing to the afternoon of 5/31. We couldn’t, so we decided to come in Friday morning, 6/1. He called later on Thursday to indicate that they still hadn’t received the lien release but asked us to please come in Friday and sign anyway so that the minute it came in, our vehicle would be ready to go. I expressed my displeasure that we couldn’t take the truck as planned (leaving us down a vehicle) and sales manager Timothy Pilipovic called back and offered us a Nissan Rogue rental for our troubles. On Friday, 6/1, by 11am, we paid for our truck in full. I was transferring plates from my old vehicle to this truck, so the dealership was in possession of my personal license plates at this time. I was told they couldn’t put a temporary registration on the truck due to “insurance issues.” I asked Mr. Chase how much longer until we could take the truck, and he said that hopefully, the lien release would come in the mail that day, but if not, Monday. He said once they got the verbal confirmation that the lien release had been processed, that Lia Nissan of Saratoga would drive the truck out to my home and pick up the Nissan Rogue rental. I was given the impression that this was a short-term problem, and that they were trying to make things right with me, which I appreciated. Monday came, with no call from Lia Nissan. By 2:50pm, I had emailed our salesperson Joe Chase and received no response. I called to ask about taking our truck and was told by Sales Manager Chris Bucher “It didn’t come today, maybe tomorrow!” I was then told that the previous lien holder, Nissan Financial, did not overnight lien releases, and that they had to wait for it to come in the regular mail. He told me to call back tomorrow, and I said that I had paid in full for this truck and perhaps the dealership should call me. On Tuesday, I did receive a message at my home from the Chris Bucher around 2pm- a quick “It didn’t come in, sorry, maybe tomorrow.” Wednesday, 6/6, I called and again got upset. It had been 6 days since we paid for this truck, and still we had no truck. The sales manager Mr. Pilipovic got on the phone and told me that he gave me the Nissan Rogue rental for a reason, and that they had up to 30 DAYS to give me the truck that I had already paid in full for! No one indicated this during the deal when I had signed the paperwork and handed them a check for $21,000. We bought a truck because we needed a truck, not an SUV. I couldn’t haul things in the back of a rental SUV. He quickly dismissed my complaints, brashly told me he would call up Nissan Financial again and call me back. He never called me back. I felt I was an inconvenience to him, as well as an annoyance. I got in touch with a friend who not only worked at a Nissan dealership for 12 years, but someone who also had extensive experience with Nissan Financial. She told me that Nissan Financial ABSOLUTELY overnights lien releases to dealerships, and regardless of the situation that Lia Nissan of Saratoga got themselves into, they still needed to release the vehicle to me either under a temporary registration or dealer plates. She was appalled at how I was being treated and the games this dealership was playing. They had options! She said. Why were they holding our truck hostage!? Thursday, June 7th, a week after I had paid for our truck in full, I drove back to Lia Nissan of Saratoga and contacted Nissan Corporate, left a message for Bill Lia Jr. at Lia Auto Groups, called Lia Nissan of Colonie to speak to their manager, and began to make my anger known. I just wanted the truck we legally paid for. I entered the dealership at 1pm and spoke to Sales Manager Chris Bucher. I demanded my vehicle, told him his options, and said I wouldn’t leave without it. By 2:30, I was driving away in my truck, with my transferred plates. I recorded the entire conversation if anyone is interested in the validity of my story. I still haven’t received a formal apology about why, at 1pm, I was told that it was impossible for me to take my truck, and by 2:30pm I was magically driving off in it. Up to the point of the sale, they were pleasant, offered us the rental car, and making the deal was easy. However, after all the paperwork was signed, their concern towards our experience dissipated. I’ve bought no less than 10 vehicles at dealerships, and this dealership was by far the worst experience. I thought I had learned to be a diligent buyer; stick to a price range, secure my own financing, ensure a clean Carfax report and buy Certified so the vehicle maintains its extended warranty. I never, in my wildest dreams, would have imagined that Lia Nissan of Saratoga would hold a vehicle that I paid for hostage for a week. They lied multiple times to cover whatever issues they were having. As a bonus, they didn’t even clean the entire truck out, as we found items from the previous owner still in it AND they posted a video to YouTube a day after I paid for this truck in full, advertising it for sale. We also found a metal bracket above the tire that attaches the rear driver-side bed fender to the frame that was zip-tied because the bolt broke; I was so busy fighting just to take the vehicle I paid for that I didn’t even see this until I got home. All I had to do was bend over 45 degrees, you can’t miss it. No, I cannot recommend this dealership. However, Jeffrey Lukaszewicz was a wonderful help towards the end, and I'd like to make sure he gets the credit he is due. Probably the only one who showed patience, humility, and seemed genuinely concerned about our experience. He's a keeper. More

Kept getting the run around, about a vehicle that was already sold (little did they knew that the salesman had told us this from the minute we stepped through the door, they later lied stating that vehicle was being demo and after stated that Mrs Lia has the vehicle and has already done $2000 in upgrade on vehicle, mind you I had spoken to the “sales manger” day prior who stated that vechile was in stock and available for pick up). Don’t believe when they say it’s just a “soft pull on your credit Report, we’ll never do a hard pull without your permission” immediately got notified by all three credit bureaus about a hard inquiry the moment they hard pulled my credit via a credit app I have installed on my phone. Sales manager “Chris” very unprofessional, I got the feeling that he may have also been racist due to his disrelish comment made as we were walking through the door in disappointment. I would never in my life time recommend anyone to do business with these people! I’ve been car shopping for 3 weeks and been to quite a few dealers and they have been so welcoming and professional. However, Lia Nissan of Saratoga has left a very distasteful taste in my mouth for sure. More

Not only was she extremely genuine and gentle, but also a true professional. Danielle approach is quite relaxed and there was no pressure from her at all. Not only did I get to leave Lia Nissian of Saratoga with a brand new Nissian Altima my fiancé also left with a new Lexus. Thanks also goes out to sales manager Chris Bucher for his assistance and for staying true to his word. Finally, this would not have been possible without the help of Finance Manager Larry thank you for your patience and for staying late to wrap the deal up.
