Run, don't walk, away from this dealership! The will "nickle-and-dime" you for every dollar on your trade-in and watch out for the fine print! Their so-called "internet pricing" is not that great. The p "nickle-and-dime" you for every dollar on your trade-in and watch out for the fine print! Their so-called "internet pricing" is not that great. The prices don't include the destination charge and other "fees" so it looks lower but it's about the same as the competition. The service department lost my keys on the day I went to pick up my new car! Then they only wanted to give me one key. They said that's all they could do? REALLY?? Also, they charged a heavy mark-up over the Honda site on options and labor. Insult to Injury, they wrecked my car by the lousy application of the options I selected. I bought my brand new car on one day and they had the nerve to ask me to bring it back THE NEXT DAY FOR REPAIRS!!! I just couldn't make this up if I tried, people! It is just a mess! Brewster Honda, as of December of this year, was purchased by Lia Auto Group. Let's hope Lia cleans up Brewster Honda's act or close it down! TERRIBLE..just TERRIBLE! More
My first and last visit to this dealership. The management is not willing to work with the customer on price. They nickel and dimed me on the price of a used car. We got down to within a couple h management is not willing to work with the customer on price. They nickel and dimed me on the price of a used car. We got down to within a couple hundred dollars of their price and they wouldn't budge! And we were dealing with a car that had been sitting on their lot for over a month! Their lot was full of inventory. You'd think they'd want to liquidate some of that. My advice to them is that they should try working with the customer and maybe they'll actually sell some of their cars. Greed isn't always the answer. Too bad for them since I won't be returning or recommending them. Instead I'll be posting negative reviews all over this great, big internet. More
Jonathan was friendly and helpful with the repairs on my car. The pricing was very fair and he worked with me to prioritze the most important things that had to be done to my car for safety purposes. I will car. The pricing was very fair and he worked with me to prioritze the most important things that had to be done to my car for safety purposes. I will be going back to have the additional work done to my car as soon as I can. I have been using this dealer for my purchase and repairs for the last 5 years and I would not use another service center. when I need a new car I will be going back to Brewster Honda! More
Working with he various departments at Brewster Honda was a pleasure. They were very informative and knowledable about my vehicle and the entire lease process went very smooth. I received an internet quote from this dealer that was about $1000 higher than any of the other dealers that spoke to. However, due to the high ratings of this dealer I decided to drive an hour and speak about $1000 higher than any of the other dealers that spoke to. However, due to the high ratings of this dealer I decided to drive an hour and speak to them because they had the color and model of the car that I wanted. I called before I went to the showroom to let them know that I was coming and although the person who I dealt with wasn't reachable on the phone, the operator assured me that he would be there when I arrived. I arrived and he wasn't there, so the manager assigned me to Rose. She was friendly, but in a bit of a fake way, which i don't fault her for, but she did kind of creep me out a bit. She was quite nice and let me test drive the car, and was quite nice to me. She I guess was clearly not an internet deal person, as she gave me the fake astonishment as to the price quote that I got on the car, and claimed that it was much lower than any deal she could have made. (which really concerns me, because it was $1000 higher than all the other quotes I received). I told her that I was purchasing the car for cash, and that I was awaiting the check that was going to pay for the car (which was the TRUTH); and I was concerned that the price of the car that they quoted me, was a couple hundred dollar more than I could afford (THE TRUTH). So I asked if they would cut a couple hundred dollars off the price. She spoke to her "manager" (why was I dealing with her if she could do nothing?) and he wouldn't budge. He came over and told me that it was "only $100 on a purchase of over $16000 is nothing and shouldn't make a difference". EXACTLY!! And it should be less of a big deal to a big rich dealership than to a poor person like me who saves for 10 years to purchase a car! I also asked about other colors, and they were not willing to get me colors other than what they had on the lot. Well I put down a deposit (and made sure that it said that it was refundable) just because I wasn't sure and didn't want to have to drive back if i wanted to purchase the car. And they put me through the sales process... where they tried to sell me accessories which were 3x the price of the MSRP (seriously!!!), and a $2000 service plan... And were not friendly at all. When I told them that I was traveling the next week and wouldn't be able to pick up the car until the next Saturday, they seemed to be skeptical of me and asked me in a kindof nasty way why I couldn't pick it up Friday, and I told them because I was working. And they said, that they weren't sure that i would be able to pick it up Saturday. Basically it seemed to me that they didn't want to sell me a car. I left the dealership feeling cheated, unhappy and deflated. I called after i received the check I was waiting for and did my numbers, and left a message for the manager telling him that it was as expected and that I couldn't afford the car so I wanted a refund on my deposit. He left a message for me that seemed urgent. So I took a few minutes on my business trip to Florida to call him back, and what he wanted from me was to ask me if I purchased the car from another dealership before he processed my refund! I was astonished! I took the time out of my trip for such a rude call? He said that I gave him the impression that I was going to purchase the car from elsewhere. I asked him what gave him that impression (I did put down a deposit with THEM!!!!) And even if I did, what did it have to do with them. They either wanted to sell me a car or they didn't. And to me it seemed as if they didn't want to sell me the car. I was quite offended. I have no idea why they have so many positive reviews. It makes me think that perhaps they write their own reviews. Because I later asked some friends from the area what they thought, and they said that they don't like them at all. More
Once we received a price quote on the phone and brought in the required documents for our "clunker" car, we met with our salesman who repeated for us all of the agreed-upon details we'd already discussed. in the required documents for our "clunker" car, we met with our salesman who repeated for us all of the agreed-upon details we'd already discussed. Once the price was confirmed and the procedures for turning in our car were gone over, we took the car for a test drive. When we returned we were told that Honda Brewster had the color and model of the car we were interested in and the salesman asked us to go to his desk and said he would join us there. A different salesman, however, arrived and told us in a very convoluted manner that the original pricing was incorrect and the car was now $1500 more than the price we'd been quoted. Playing the bad guy against our "good" guy salesman, he told us that there was no way they could give us the quoted price since they couldn't "deliver the car to us on Monday". We asked him to summon back our original salesman who upon his return said he'd pleaded our case with "management" to no avail and then proceeded to contradict himself with implausible explanations. There was nothing to do but leave. This experience epitomizes the shady dealings that car salesmen engage in. It'll take a long time for us to even start to think about trusting another car dealership! More

I recently was in a car accident ( I was ok ) but my 98 Toyota RAV 4 was not as the insuance company totaled it. I called Brewster honda with the pay out that my insurance company was settling on for my l Toyota RAV 4 was not as the insuance company totaled it. I called Brewster honda with the pay out that my insurance company was settling on for my loss and asked if that was a fair amount given the high miles on it. They were very polite and gave me a figure right over the phone. They also asked me if I had a tow package which I did and to make sure that was on the breakdown too. I asked them I was looking for a older model..and I was not interested in a certified used car.. as I wanted to keep my payments down. I called a few days later when I received my check to look around. I cancelled twice due to conflict I was never pressured and when I did finally meet with Steve he ahd a few Honda CRV's ready for me to view.. He spoke to me why certified was better...even though I felt these cars never break down but as he explained they are still machines. and I drive a lot of miles per year due to my job and living area. Within 1/2 hour I picked out a 2004 CRV with low milage with plenty of room in the back for my 15 year old son size 14 shoes to fit in. (we were so crapped in the toyota) I was so thrilled with the payments/the 100,000 mile warrantee bumper to bumper along with Brewster Honda 1 year cerification I left with out really know the price.....when I returned to pick up the car the next day I was greatly surprised with the actual price.. along with the low financing rate as I had concern about my credit. As a single working mother of 2 sons/sports orieneted.....and on the go I needed a car that was dependable and fit all my needs as I don't make this type of purchase frequently. I have to say the buying experience was wonderful. That evening I recieved a call from Brewster Honda asking if I enjoyed my ride home that night?.. I am in sales, I deal with all personalities all day long and understand how important the TRUST FACTOR IS . I truly Believe that if you are looking for a HONDA .. BREWSTER HONDA should be on your list....even if you are not looking for a HONDA their used car inventory is HUGE.. and I am now a believer in CERTIFED used cars....I traveled from New Paltz. I realize this is long .. but with a important high end purchase a educated consumer gives us peace of mind when we finally sign on that dotted line.. and with Brewster Honda I do believe they accomplish that goal. This is a comment about the service department of Brewster Honda. When I bought the car from them I received a booklet advising the service requirements of the car. Following their advice I did an oi Brewster Honda. When I bought the car from them I received a booklet advising the service requirements of the car. Following their advice I did an oil change at 3750 miles. When it was 7500 miles I called them for another oil change and they asked me to get the 7500 mile oil change at $115. I was appalled and checked my manual in detail and I saw that the car has an on-board computer keeping track of the required service. Hence, the first service was done when the oil life was still 60% and the dealers did not have the courtesy of letting me know of that fact. The service seems like a way of making a quick buck for the dealers, but they have no right to perform unnecessary service at the customers expense. Honda should insist that the dealership does not hand out their own service booklet with the car. More
