after visiting other dealers, (closer to home) and deciding what car to buy, checked on the internet for possibilities. called brewster honda, spoke with rose and made an appointment. she changed her deciding what car to buy, checked on the internet for possibilities. called brewster honda, spoke with rose and made an appointment. she changed her day off to accomadate us. couldn't be happier with the service we received. she was very informative, took my wife on a test drive, and explained all of our options. after addressing all of our concerns she had the car ready for us 2 days later as requested. insurance was handled through her and the license plates (out of state) were ready for pick-up in a timely manner. overall buying the car was a hassle free experience. I did the test drive and he indicated that he would not sell the car at a price lower than advertised on their website. So I left. One week later, he called and left a message, saying that the car was still available and would welcome an offer. I emailed him with a fair offer. He called back immediately, saying that ok, if you put down a deposit, the car is yours. I confirmed with him that he accepted the price as I offered then I gave him my credit card number, for a $500 deposit. I drove 35 miles to Brewster to get the car. When I arrived, he presented me with a sales form, below the car price, there were several items: plates, registration, etc. Then I noticed an item: "vehicle prep $695". I asked him what that was. He said that's the charge "to certify the car for sale". I said you must be kidding, you advertised the car as "Certified Used Car", how can you possibly be charging a fee "to certify the car"?! I asked to speak to his supervisor. When the "supervisor" appeared, I asked how come there is a charge to certify the car while it was offered for sale as "certified car"? He said, no no no, Anthony was wrong. The charge was to cover the "prep'ping" of the vehicle for sale. Then the two started a brief argument in front of me... At the end, the "supervisor" told me, look, I can't sell you the car at that price! So i demanded refund of my deposit (It took 4 days for me to get the refund) and left. I drove 70 miles just to be fooled by these people! I was appalled by the unethical behaviors of these two salesmen at Brewster Honda (and their incompetence). No more Brewster Honda! More

I had a fantastic experience at Brewster Honda. I've bought many cars and the experience I had a Brewster Honda was one of the best ever. My salesman, Will Darnell, was very astute in his knowledge of bought many cars and the experience I had a Brewster Honda was one of the best ever. My salesman, Will Darnell, was very astute in his knowledge of all the vehicles and was able to answer any and all of my questions. I've been to several dealerships over the last couple of months finding the right car and encountered many salesman who just say, "here it is!" you ask them questions and they can't tell you much about them other than you can find out on the Internet. Will worked hard to get me the best deal for my trade-in and for my new Pilot touring. I was extremely satisfied with my deal. The finance manager, Chuck Bowling, was professional and made everything easy to understand. He thoroughly explained all the financing issues, registration, and all the extras such as extended warranty/paint sealant. I did not buy the extended warranty nor the paint sealant, but he was not pushy in trying to have me add those on. Delivery of the vehicle was awesome! It was quick and thorough. I brought my wife in on delivery day and Will came in on his only day off of the week to deliver the vehicle and explain everything about the car to her. Talk about going the extra mile! I highly recommend Brewster Honda to anyone who is in the market for a new Honda! If you go, be sure to ask for Will and Chuck, you'll get a great deal! Roger More
I brought my car here for a simple an oil change b/c I had a coupon for $19.99. They told me wait time would be less than one hour. One hour and 20 minutes later, service rep comes to tell me they can't had a coupon for $19.99. They told me wait time would be less than one hour. One hour and 20 minutes later, service rep comes to tell me they can't get my car to hold oil b/c oil pan and plug were damaged. He literally tells me I can't leave. His reason being my car can't hold the oil and the only fix is to replace these parts for $468. Not being knowledgable about cars, I dial my husband and put the rep on the phone with him. "Miraculously" within 5 minutes after that phone conversation they come up with an alternative solution (putting in an oversize plug) for $5. Had my husband not pressed the guy, they would not have offered up the $5 solution, which by the way, it turns out is a permanent fix...NOT a temporary solution. To add insult to injury they tell me my break pads are worn down to 1mm and should be replaced. They tell me I have at best 500-1000 miles left and quote me a "special" price of $270 to replace front breaks. I decline...the following morning my husband takes the car to our family friend and trusted mechanic to change the breaks (he has quoted us a lower price). He gets the car up on the lift and says we don't need new breaks now. The pads are only halfway worn down and we can easily wait until our next oil change (roughly another 5,000 miles) before replacing them. I can only say that either the mechanics at Brewster Honda are extremely unqualified to diagnose standard wear and tear or they are crooks...plain and simple, who saw an opportunity to put some fear in me so I would go for the repairs they recommended. Either way, I would never set foot in there again and would absolutely not recommend them to anyone else. More
