Mr. Cohen, We are disappointed that your experience at Lia Honda would not allow you to write a positive review. However, I will attempt to address some your assertions. We did discuss with you as we do with all of our customers your excess mileage obligation and recommended you contact Honda Finance and that because of your history with Honda that they would likely waive some portion of your excess mileage charge and that you would be responsible for any balance. We are in possession of documentation and have provided you with copies with your signature which memorialize this fact. We did not ask you to pay half of an unknown charge on delivery. Your assumption that we made a clerical error is made clear when you review your purchase order and lease contract which clearly describes the various charges on your lease such as cap cost reduction, first payment etc. There is no indication of any excess mileage charge. However, we did provide you with a lease turn in form which is specifically designed to disclose who is responsibility for excess wear and or mileage, remaining payments and disposition fees. Your initials and signature will attest to this disclosure. If you would like to further discuss this, please feel free to contact me at the dealership. Sincerely, David Sackaroff General Manager

Whether Mr. Sackaroff know what was represented to me by his staff or not (I suspect he does, but I have no proof), the salesperson who I dealt with certainly remembers the deal as I told him. I presumed that the documents I was signing at closing were a formalization of the agreement that Lia Honda presented to me. Undoubtedly, I trusted the wrong people. I have leased cars for 20 years through leasing agents and never paid a cap reduction down payment. The salesperson I dealt with from whom I requested a bid knew I was asking for a no down payment bid from Lia. That is what he presented me. Not only that he confirmed it in three in-person visits to the showroom on this subject between Dec 30, 2020 and Feb 18 2021. I have no reason to write anything bad about anyone, but Lia Honda left me no outlet for my frustration. I stand by my statement.
