Hi Martha, To provide further clarification on the timeline of what transpired, you first contacted us on October 28 of last year, requesting a refund, stating that the vehicle was showing a salvaged title on CARFAX and that this had severely impacted the vehicle’s value. On October 30, after reviewing the deal file and inspection notes for the vehicle sold, we advised you to contact CARFAX directly. Based on our review, the issue appeared to be a reporting error originating from the Indiana Department of Motor Vehicles. We provided clear instructions on the steps required to correct the discrepancy through CARFAX. On December 2, you emailed us requesting $26,000 for the total cost of repairs incurred over three years of ownership. By this time, the CARFAX report had already been corrected. We advised you that any mechanical repairs would need to be reviewed under the Vehicle Service Agreement (VSA) you purchased, as those items fall under the service contract and not dealership responsibility. While we completely understand your frustration with what transpired, you're attempting to hold us financially responsible for maintenance items and/or repairs that are not the dealership’s obligation.
