Why waste time with any other dealer? Seriously! Purchasing a vehicle was a big step for me. Not only did I want to find the 'Right Car', but I also wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be mislead during the process by the many greedy car salesman that are out there that only want to make a quick buck. You couldn't ask for a greater car professional than Bob Barrett. This guy not only knew his stuff, but he made the process of buying a car actually FUN. It was a quick process, and any questions that I might have had were answered truthfully and directly by him. This guy doesn't just want to sell you a car, he wants to make sure you get the RIGHT car, without any buyers remorse. I've shopped around many other dealerships prior to making my purchase, but no other dealer or dealership even compared to the professionalism and the luxury service that Lexus of Wilmington provided. I drove off in a brand new car, and still to this date I have no complaints for the service that I received. From Alex Hafer, the General Manager, down to the person that opens my cardoor when I bring in the car for service, I am treated like I'm the only Lexus owner around. Everyone is courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable and they all seem to like being there whenever I come in for service. In fact, I look forward to my service visits because I know I will be taken very good care of and my time is appreciated so they get my car serviced and cleaned quickly and efficiently. More
WELL DETAILED CAR. JOB WELL DONE i had a bad experience with my detailed vehicle on may 08, 2014. the following were discovered when i went to pick up the vehicle: inside of trunk i had a bad experience with my detailed vehicle on may 08, 2014. the following were discovered when i went to pick up the vehicle: inside of trunk chipped and damaged bug juice on front license plate dried wax on accelerator pedal car not vaccumed under mats puddles of water on rubber carpet mats chuck raysor happen to come out the doors of the building with his hands in his pockets and asked me was everthing ok. i politely told him know, and that i feel like crying right now. he came down the steps over to my vehicle, and asked me how can he help. i told him i had my car detailed and they damaged my inside of trunk and all the other things above this paragraph. he politely told me to don't worry. i have a guy that comes in on that friday that will be able to fix that and make it look new, he also said i will baby your car while it is fully detailed again, and let you use one of the cars on the lot until this is taken care of. i told him i had to go to my daughter's college graduation in north carolina, and will not be back until that following monday. he said when you get back, come see me and i will fix this. i came back monday and he brought me inside to took my info (license, insurance) and introduced me to pernell pressey who told me to not worry; we will get this right. pernell broght a car around and told me the gas tank is full. if you bring it back on empty, it's ok. LOL , i put gas back in it though. i came back that following saturady may 17, 2014 to pick up car. my car was on the detail area inside looking like a brand new car. the trunk inside looked new. pernell allowed me to inspect the car. i was very pleased. chuck and pernell helped me and they deserve a raise in pay. pernell even gave me a lexus hat. he brought all colors to me and let me pick the color i wanted and put it in a lexus bag for me. i deal with 140 clients of my own a year and these 2 guys did what i will do for my clients and that is PUT A SMILE ON THEIR FACE after service is rendered More
Worse experience than my ex wife during divorce I seem to be unique in my experience but apparently that's because Lexus of Wilmington only want customers that meet their profile of elite wealth and I seem to be unique in my experience but apparently that's because Lexus of Wilmington only want customers that meet their profile of elite wealth and affluence as customers. Everyone else gets treated like utter garbage. I've made my share of mistakes in life, I left a marriage that was abusive and left with a mountain of debt and better off because of it. Alex Hafer seems to believe that even though I bought a car from his dealership and don't have a 700+ FICO score that I deserve to be belittled and bullied. "People your age (I'm 30) shouldn't need a parent to co-sign" and "my fathers a lawyer" and "our customers don't need co signers" and "I've seen your credit and you shouldn't be here" are not things a GM should be recorded as saying. People should not be subjected to this type of emotional abuse from a company of any stature let alone Lexus. Mind you I had already purchased the vehicle from this dealership at this point with the help of my father. The finance manager was apparently new, (the finance managers words not mine), and forgot to tell us to sign one line of the contract. So the contract we signed got bounced around from the bank for a few weeks until we were told we had to sign a new contract, which we understood and cooperated with. My parents live 6,000 miles away so you can imagine how difficult this was to achieve and ultimately the documents were shipped, signed and returned back. The issue arose that my new work schedule was keeping me from coming in during certain times to resign the second contract. This didn't sit well with Alex Hafer the GM and the abuse started. I ultimately was granted an extended lunch hour at my new job and went in to sign the documents at the dealerships requested time. I'm not the best credit wise due to my marriage, but I'm working hard to fix it, and my father was happy to help out his son. But I have never been more insulted and belittled in my life than by the words of this man. He had me in tears with the hate he spewed at me. He was unapologetic and seems to have no empathy for his fellow man let alone a customer of his business. I am happy with my car and with the Lexus brand, I will certainly buy another one when the time is right. But I will never buy from this dealership again. To be treated this way at all, let alone due to their error is inhuman, immoral and unethical. Formulate your own opinion based on my words and my experience, but I will avoid Lexus of Wilmington. They never contacted me to ask me if I was still interested in the car or anything. They are heartless sales people and do not care about the customer but about the almighty buck and thats it!!!!!!! Don't buy from them they are really a bunch of people who care about money only not the customer. More

We were in the market for a Certified 2011 LS 460 AWD to replace our LX 470 as my wife's primary vehicle. The plan was to trade a 2011 Toyota Tacoma pick-up purchased to facilitate the recently completed r replace our LX 470 as my wife's primary vehicle. The plan was to trade a 2011 Toyota Tacoma pick-up purchased to facilitate the recently completed renovation of our home. A search turned up a suitable car at Lexus of Wilmington. We met with John Skehan at about 6 PM on a Monday and by 9 we had completed the trade and purchase drove home with a beautiful new car. Based upon plenty of research before the visit, we feel we received top dollar for our trade--despite a Carfax report indicating an odometer problem which resulted from a typo when we registered the car in PA, but the dealer had to spend hours correcting. We were also so satisfied with the condition and asking price of the LS 460, we didn't feel the need to negotiate. That was a first! The service and attention to detail after the transaction was the icing on the cake. John arranged to have the rear bumper cover replaced and repainted to remedy a minor paint defect. When we brought the car in for the body work, Rob Payson, an assistant service manager, noticed a small cosmetic dent in the rear door threshold plate. He ordered the replacement part on the spot and at no cost to us. This Lexus of Wilmington did after replacing all 4 brake calipers which only had 34k miles because we questioned whether the brakes were as smooth as possible! Over the past 30 years, my wife and I have purchased between 15 and 20 high-end luxury vehicles and sports cars. This was one of the most satisfying experiences. The level of professionalism, attention to detail, concern for our total satisfaction, and efficiency with our time was truly outstanding. More

I had my Lexus LS430 serviced at Koon's Lexus for the past 10 years and have received outstanding service over the years. They have always been very through and prompt in caring for my car. It was only natural that on March 26th I would go the Wilmington Lexus to purchase another Lexus. I worked with Dan Hayes, Chuck Rayson, and Drew Greene to purchase my LS460 (2011). They were very professional, being friendly, but not overly so. They showed respect for my opinion on the negotiations for both my old car and my new purchase. Dan Hayes could not have been more helpful in taking my wife and to talk to Chuck Rayson at the used car showroom. Chuck was very helpful in explaining all the steps they take to certify the car and what they did to the car to meet the certification requirements. The quality of the work showed in both the test drive and walk around of the car. They were friendly and their experience in dealing with potential buyers quickly came through as caring about my wife and my concerns. They were careful to address issues we brought up and quickly explained the answers to our questions. Dan took his time to explain and go over all the paperwork that goes with purchasing a car and Drew Greene took his time to explain the extended warranty which we purchased for 6 years. In the past, I had worked with Rob Payson in the Service Department and had come to respect his efforts and experience in keeping my car well maintained and I felt completely comfortable yesterday dealing with Dan, Chuck, and Drew and had a great experience purchasing my used Lexus LS460 .Thanks To All, James L.
