In my opinion the best way to rate a business isn’t how they react when things go great, it’s how they react when things don’t go like they should. I can say with 100% certainty that this dealership is a respectable business that values their customers and their reputation. We will be purchasing our next vehicle from them. So, let’s start at the beginning. I purchased a Jeep from their used sales department in November of 2014. The car is beautiful and we’re extremely happy with it. We were able to purchase an extended warranty that will cover the Jeep until there are over 100,000 miles on it. I filled out the paperwork and left with the Jeep. We got a phone call to come back down because there was a problem with the paperwork. There was an issue with the cost of the extended warranty and the dealership took ownership of the error an honored the original price I was quoted and I was able to finance the warranty interest free. In the end I actually ended up with a lower monthly payment then I was originally quoted. About a week later I got a FedEx in the mail because the dates were wrong on the paperwork, so a few more signatures and we were all set. I did review all the paperwork and they weren’t playing a “bait & switch”. They were just simple, clerical errors that can happen to anyone. It really wasn’t a big deal, and the inconvenience was minimal. (And, I actually got to skip a payment in December since the paperwork wasn’t right so that helped with Christmas!) Since I live in PA and purchased the car in DE I had to get it inspected in PA, and Koons Lexus was going to reimburse me for the cost of inspection and all repairs. I was told this verbally and given it in writing. I was told to take the Jeep to my normal mechanic and forward them the bill. The mechanic advised me that in order to pass inspection the Jeep would need new brakes, rotors resurfaced and a new power steering line. I called the dealership and was told they needed to pull my paperwork and would call me back. The manager (Chris) said to go ahead with the work. After the work was done, he had an issue with the brakes being replaced. After some back and forth, I got in contact with Leigh who put me in contact with Jason. Jason asked me to bring the parts down to him. I did that, and was extremely happy with the result of our conversation. As it turns out, the mechanic took advantage of me, and Jason explained everything clearly. They would have passed inspection, and the brakes should not have been replaced. Jason contacted the mechanic on my behalf, but was having a problem getting in contact with anyone who would assist him. Since I called to check with the dealership prior to authorizing the work, they did agree to cover the cost of the repairs and take up the issue with the mechanic. So, even though the work shouldn’t have been done the staff at Koons Lexus took care of me and I honestly feel they have their customers best interest at heart. At the end of the day what more can you ask of a business? They hold their employee’s accountable for their errors, they take great care of their customers, they value lasting relationships and they take great pride in being a highly rated car dealership. He emailed me the information I requested on the vehicle I was interested in. When we arrived at Lexus of Wilmington he greeted us with a smile and a genuine warmth. He reviewed the ES 350 with us answering all of our questions. On the test drive he was easy going, highlighting the cars features. The drive was both informative and provided a nice sense of the vehicles performance. Throughout the entire process Doug's easy going nature and sense of humor showed through. Zero pressure working with Doug and he managed the entire process. Pricing on both the car we purchased and our trade were very fair. No need to attempt to haggle as the numbers were fair from the start. If you are looking for a Lexus and want a hassle free buying experience, go to Lexus of Wilmington. On my side, it was a "walk-in search for a car" :) I have been interested in RC F model for quite a while, and came to Koons to see the real vehicle to make sure I am gonna like it as much as I liked it on the picture. I really appreciate my sales person, Anthony DiIenno's help in handling my search requests. He was very professional and courteous, and made everything go very smooth and pretty fast. I don't think I have ever shopped for a car this quick :) It took about 5 days from the day I first talked to Anthony to the day when I drove away with my new car. He is a very knowledgeable sales person, very polite, attentive, and it was my pleasure to deal with him. Everyone of the personnel I have been introduced to was awesome, attentive, and really helpful. Special thanks to Andrew Greene for making sure all the financial aspects of this deal were satisfying and in order, and thanks to Kelly Angelos and Leigh Encarnacion for taking an extra step to make my buying experience even more special and enjoyable! The salesman I dealt with previously was ill and I was greeted by the sales manager Chuck and quickly assisted by John Skehan. To say he was non pressuring, accommodating and just all around friendly is an understatement. Actually, I was hesitant to keep my appointment since Jim Fortgang was out that day; but, there was no lack of excellence with John. So personable and genuinely kind has my sister considering purchasing from Koons. Marvelous car, super assistance, hassle free!!! Who could ask for more when purchasing or leasing a vehicle. Highly recommend!!!! More

This most recent time - earlier this week - John knew I couldn't get in the for a test drive, so he brought the car to me. Who does that? I felt like Taylor Swift or something.... Then, when I got in there to do the final paperwork and pick up the car, it was as smooth as could be...no surprises at all. Before I drove off with my car though, Matt, the technologist, spent a good amount of time with me so that I knew exactly how to use all the bells and whistles my new NX200t has to offer. Check them out. You cannot go wrong! Oh, and by the way, we have all of our service done here as well. They always treat us as if we are their one and only customer. More

I should say they are the most transparent and straightforward dealership. Pernell was very knowledgeable and courteous to give all the options without pushing or trying to manipulate. Most of all he made impression of salesperson working on customer side trying to give a customer as best deal as possible and let to know about all the running specials and advantage that could be used rather than working on just to make more money for himself and the dealership. It gave me peace of mind that i had been taken care of. Hard to find client adviser/managers like him. Made a deal for the RX 350 F-sport and extremely happy. Will visit them again for next purchase and refer friends and family. More
