Best buying experience of my life, many years ! Friendly knowledgable sales staff, Johanna's was very good. What I liked best was no pressure, no sales manager coming in to close deal. We test drove two cars and looked at a few more, they had a lot of patience with us. While they other add on's to sell no once did they try to force this stuff on us. Even though salesman was suppose to go home at 5 he stayed with us and was last one to leae dealership, never once hurried us. They were also fair with my trade in value. Absolutely the worst car buying experience I've ever had in my 50 years. The buying experience itself was mediocre at best, as the salesmen (we had two different ones on two separate trips) were lukewarm to in my 50 years. The buying experience itself was mediocre at best, as the salesmen (we had two different ones on two separate trips) were lukewarm to any requests for information. However, the pain of choosing a vehicle and negotiating a price paled in comparison to the travesty that was signing the papers. We arrived on time and were told the finance person was busy with another customer and would be with us shortly. One and a half hours later we were still waiting for her. All that time our salesman would stop in on us approximately every ten minutes to try to get us to agree to buy one of their upsell items. They literally would not let us leave until we agreed to buy something from them in addition to the car. I would have gotten up and left except they already had our trade in back in the service bay. Finally we agreed to the cheapest upsell on the list (I have no idea what it was because I know I'll never use it) just to get them to finalize the deal. Once we agreed to buy an upsell item the finance lady was with us in less than 5 minutes. What a coincidence! I absolutely, positively, under no circumstances will ever buy from this dealer ever again, and in fact will never buy a Toyota/Lexus ever again (this is my third). The taste in my mouth is that bad. I have been a loyal Toyota customer since 1983 and was not actively looking to buy a Lexus until Omar Rodriguez demonstrated the 2012 Lexus vehicle. Even though the technology in this vehicle was a little overwhelming Omar's expertise and teachning ability convinced me to "break up" with Toyota and go with the Lexus! Omar has a customer for life! I was so sure I would be buying a BMW but I have to say, that Lisa H's customer service and the information regarding the vehicle were key in my choosing a Lexus over a BMW. I had expressed to her what I was looking for approximately 3 weeks prior and when she was able to locate a vehicle that she thought would meet my needs, she immediately contacted me and she was spot on with identifying my needs and what I would like. Once again, I am thankful to the staff at Lexus of Tampa Bay for a wonderful car buying experience. More

He was responsive, but not intrusive. In the end, I decided to buy a different type of vehicle, but had this dealer had one in stock, I would not have hesitated to buy it based solely on Mr. Gatchell's representations. More
