Restored my faith in Lexus! A simple misunderstanding of what I needed done turned into a great experience where everything I needed was fixed. Scott was exceptional and has earned my business. I bought a 2021 LS500 F Sport from Esther Ortiz and could not be happier about the way she took care of me. She was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and straightforward. Even suggested places t not be happier about the way she took care of me. She was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and straightforward. Even suggested places to eat and stay. Sidney Crawford was also excellent. Knew his stuff and treated me with respect. Esther said she was my person after the sale and she has lived up to it. Checked on me after the sale. Said I could call her with any questions. One of the managers stopped by to say hello which was a very nice touch. More
I purchased a 2013 BMW X6 on March 5th. Within a few days, smoke started coming into the vehicle from the vents and under the hood. I reached out to my sales rep, who said something was split on the bac days, smoke started coming into the vehicle from the vents and under the hood. I reached out to my sales rep, who said something was split on the back of the engine and would burn off over time. I left a review and was given a number to call. Called three times and left messages, never got a call back. I sent an email asking for the name, direct phone number and email to the general manager, never received a response. It’s now a month later and it’s still happening but worse. At this point, this is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I will never recommend this dealership. More
BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE SALES TACTICS!!! Being a loyal Lexus client for over 10 years, I decided to circle back to the brand buying my 4th Lexus, this time an LS460 at Lexus of Tampa Bay. Sales representative a client for over 10 years, I decided to circle back to the brand buying my 4th Lexus, this time an LS460 at Lexus of Tampa Bay. Sales representative and manager stated car was in "impeccable condition and there was no room for negotiations as all cars are sold with the highest Lexus standards of reliability and reconditioning". On March 3rd I decided to fly in to pick up the vehicle when promised that I was able to do a full inspection, even offered to put the car on a lift. To my surprise, the driver's quarter panel paint was in really bad shape but was not noticeable in pictures. They had to repaint the quarter panel and I had to rearrange my agenda, book a hotel room and stay overnight. On site suspension inspection was suddenly denied because of “insurance regulations”. Technician did a FaceTime video, I specifically asked for the suspension, he assured this was completely taken care of. He even did a close up of the lower control arms. I took delivery of the car and next morning I took the vehicle to address a vibration at a local Lexus dealer and they stated that the upper control arms were bad and repair cost was $2,700. In addition, cheap tires on the vehicle were old and out of round plus not recommended by Lexus; another $1,100. Now I’m $3,800 in the whole. Not a repair you would expect in less than 24 hours of a Lexus ownership. I opened a Lexus owner account and was able to download the full-service report which revealed that Lexus of Tampa was well aware of the upper control arms issue and declined to repair the upper control arms. They also failed to disclose the issue to me as a buyer despite asking three times about the suspension. Contacted Lexus of Tampa and they claim that upper control arms are not a safety issue and that doing only lower control arms will bring the car up to Lexus safety standards; they were not willing to do the repair because it will eat up part of their sales profit. They offered to buy the vehicle back from me but that means I will have to take another day off work and start the buying process all over again. I asked if they were going to repair or disclose the issue to the future buyer which they replied, “we don’t have to disclose it because is not a safety issue; if I can’t sale it retail then I’ll sell it at auction” WOW! Concealing information to avoid lower sales profit? I even offered to pay the $950 labor if they can get the parts at their cost but that didn’t work. In summary, I learned a $3,800 lesson; not to trust the brand reputation and never buy a vehicle if dealer is not willing to allow full inspection. I hope this review helps other buyers not to go thru the same trouble. If you are buying a used vehicle from this dealer, inspect and re-inspect the vehicle; DO NOT trust pictures, videos or the word of the sales representative. I hope I don't get the same copy/paste apologetic response asking me to contact the GM, but a real answer posted here. More
THEY LIE and suggest unneeeded repairs. I was told I needed to have the brake pads replaced immediately. A second opinion revealed I still have 25% remaining. I did not have a fuel leak or torn cont needed to have the brake pads replaced immediately. A second opinion revealed I still have 25% remaining. I did not have a fuel leak or torn control arm bushings as I was told by Alex. Years past, I praised Alex, but now I realize he has a false smiling face and will stab you in the back. They are not to be trusted. More
STAY AWAY!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! TERRIBLE!!This place STAY AWAY!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! TERRIBLE!! This place is the worst Lexus dealership I have ever experienced. My family and I have owned many Lexus STAY AWAY!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! TERRIBLE!! This place is the worst Lexus dealership I have ever experienced. My family and I have owned many Lexus vehicles and equal history with Lexus dealership maintenance. This one is beyond belief the most unprofessional I have dealt with. First time here at this location today and just in for an oil change. Of course Scott Banta(Service Consultant) gives a list of recommendations for maintenance, many of which may not be entirely necessary but normal. What was weird at first, is that he states and shows he has pulled my entire maintenance record and has consulted his mechanic but starts asking me questions about the vehicle. These questions are easily answered by the model and history of the car. I cant figure why he would ask but for only to test my knowledge of my own car. This makes me skeptical of the record of my vehicle being actually available and reviewed. I tell Scott that I will pass on the recommendations for now after I confirm this work has not been done recently. After my oil change I review the experience with Scott and inform I will set an appointment after I look at the vehicle history. Plus I wanted to see if the coolant was actually contaminated, air filter was actually dirty and if the fuel needed to be cleaned. I do like to make sure this is not a salesman trying to take advantage of me. I get home and for some reason just think... open the hood and check.. this visit was uncomfortable. I pop the hood and find the covers under the hood are not secured with the retaining pins and a few but not all pins are stashed on the car. THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS!! So because I didn't want to pay for a xxxx ton more stuff without checking, they decide to not even check the vehicle if it was put back together!!! xxx!! Just closed the hood and get this car out!! THANKS A TON LEXUS OF TAMPA BAY!! Good show of care and bring confidence to a on the fence first time customer. Okay okay hold on a sec... maybe I am just getting bent for no real reason. I'll just call and give my complaint to someone there. I tell myself 'Calm down Michael' and I call. I call and get referred to Mike, who doesn't answer and I request again to the operator someone and they have Mike call me. Mike calls me and immediately on the call He is dismissive about the cover not being secured and the loose pins being his mechanic from the oil change, no apology and just getting a feeling of Mike DON'T GIVE A DAM. It took a good amount of dialogue just to get him to offer to replace missing pins and offer me back in to have it done.... then a good deal more to at least pay for the gas.. THIS IS JUST TOO MUCH EFFORT FOR OVER PRICE MAINTENANCE AND xxxx SERVICE!! I truly advise to leave this place off your list and find another dealership or someone else. You will get no help. It is too bad for me because this is a close dealership and I want my vehicle to be looked after the same it has for the last 7 years. Thanks Mike and Jason and the lazy mechanic for treating me like I was unnecessary, unimportant, and quite disposable. More
We live two hours from this car dealership. I mention this because from our first phone call to our sales rep (Ryan Kell) all the Way through driving off the lot was an EXCELLENT experience. After workin this because from our first phone call to our sales rep (Ryan Kell) all the Way through driving off the lot was an EXCELLENT experience. After working in upper management over the past 20 years, I offer the following traits for Ryan: Professional, Prompt, Great Communicator, Honest, 100% transparency and displayed great product knowledge. For this buying experience, Ryan was the epitome of a sales rep. I’m hopeful the management team truly knows that Ryan represented this dealership in the most professional manner. Without a doubt, we will return for our next purchase. In closing, Thank You Lexus of Tampa Bay for a wonderful buying experience. Keep doing, what you are doing !! More
Do Not Buy From Lexus of Tampa Bay Purchased a pre-owned 2014 Audi S5 convertible in mid- June. Within first 3 weeks and less than 250 miles of driving, convertible top no longer functioned correctly. Repair of hydraulics, sensors and wiring cost $860. Repairs were not covered under 90 day warranty (what a surprise). Asked used car manager and general manager if they would do right thing ethically and morally and cover all or part of cost. One assumes when buying convertible that the top has been inspected. They basically said tough luck - buyer beware. Dealership does not care one bit about customers once sale is made and are not honest and upfront during the sales process. Would avoid this dealership like the plaque. More

Poor customer service. Purchased a 2019 used pathfinder , paid cash and the low fuel light was on by the time we got home. ( about 35 mile drive). It has been my experience Purchased a 2019 used pathfinder , paid cash and the low fuel light was on by the time we got home. ( about 35 mile drive). It has been my experience when purchasing a car that the gas tank is filled when you leave the dealership. I called about this issue and left at least four messages on voicemail, with other sales associates and did not receive a call back for 5 days. At this point I am more aggravated that my call got no response. I was happy with my sales person Nick and felt that the lack of gas was just an oversight by whoever prepared the car. I was informed by the sales manager that "unless the tank is empty they do not fill it. " To me that is poor customer service, and receiving no response to messages left over a 4 or 5 day period is horrible customer service. I did not want to throw anyone under the bus initially because I was not sure who was responsible for filling the tank which is why I felt it was best to deal with the sales manager and let him deal with it, but was sorely disappointed More
