Follow up on previous review. On a market for IS200t, researched a market, compared deals, collected the data and went down to Lexus of Roseville with my girlfriend. Was greeted by On a market for IS200t, researched a market, compared deals, collected the data and went down to Lexus of Roseville with my girlfriend. Was greeted by Jeremy sales person at this point experience is pleasant, Jeremy was busy with current customers and hand us down to Richard. Pleasant conversation, great knowledge, wasn't pushy at all. Downside: haven't been offered a test drive, probably because on a question if we are ready to buy today, i answered "NO", noticed less interest in us right away. So we left to service our other vehicle in a same AutoMall plaza, while waiting for service to be completed i decided to call and insisted on a possible test drive. We got back test drove a car, and was invited to talk, we accepted it, Richard had offered options, such as lease a new car. Initially we came to check pre-owned inventory for possible purchasing/financing. Richard explained everything but for few details was unable to clarify, so we shook hands and went home to sleep on it, as to buy new/lease new was a bit different from what we came for. Anyways in a few days i did my "homework" and contacted Richard via email for few more details, got my answer - "thanks for that Richard". So did my homework again, decided to swing buy, Richard greeted me and we came in to put numbers on a paper, that is were complications started, did't came to resolution, was explained that "decision maker" not available and guided to an exit. Honestly went out with a feeling of being kicked out sort of. Anyways, swallowed that. Came home and started looking around online, found much better deals in Bay Area and especially in L.A., well at this point i decided to give a try to leave my money in Sacramento community with thoughts "if same apples behind a corner selling for price "X" why cant i buy them locally for same price." In a last email from Richard his words was: "Getting you the best deal on the car is the easiest part of my job. Do your research and I will do my best to match or beat that price. When your ready to move forward, we will make an appointment for you to come in and get you the best deal." So i went down today 2/14 with all numbers for deals around Bay Area, Los Angeles as well as reports from KBB, Edmunds, TrueCar with intention to come to a finish. "Remark: i'm not jumping on buying as i have my vehicle that i daily drive, i need to sell it and with money for down come to a dealer, but! no one and i repeat no one was inclined to negotiate a deal, put it on a paper and secure it, i believe this is how it has to be done!" I showed up at the dealership, honestly with intention to test drive it again (wanted to compare IS300 to 200 and it's not a crime), no one greeted me, as i believe they recognized my car and turned their backs on this "pain in a fifth wheel" guy. I went down to a car, sat in it to get a feel of where all controls and buttons located, as well as seat position. Only in 25 minutes other sales guy showed up and started from the beginning, i stopped him, explained that i went thru this already and came to see Richard. He insisted to talk to me while Richard is busy, i showed him numbers and proofs, he got up and said he will call Richard, but that he is sure that Lexus of Roseville will not sell this car to me, and i better drive to San Francisco or LA! "ARE YOU KIDDING ME DUDE"??? right of the bet he just "flipped me off" in a way, got up and left. In another 40 minutes of waiting i realized that i'm not welcomed here. I went down to my car while being watched by few Sales persons, including unfortunately Richard, thru the glass of the showroom. Honestly never felt so humiliated and insulted in my life. This dealership needs training!!! All stuff needs to be retrained, and your marketing strategy oriented on "old walking wallets with gray hair" that pay all what you want without asking - is a failure! All who goes there should know, if you are 20-35 y.o., know a little more than where the steering wheel is and know the market you will NOT be welcomed. They looking for "dumb" buyers that will pay all what they asked while you keep your mouth shut. Honestly, I'm shocked with this experience. Update: Here i'm again, writing a quick update for the follow up on my previous review. So i've been contacted by Jay Uppal sales manager and kindly offered to fix our experience, so i took a chance and decided to give it a second try. We stopped by on 03/12/16 at the Lexus of Roseville to check on NX200t f sport this time, my wife got me into looking at it, as it is more family friendly vehicle. It was a rainy day, after we showed up on a parking lot and was hovering over NX within 2 minutes a guy in a rain coat showed up with umbrella to warmly greet us, we hopped under his umbrella (he didn't know who i am and invited us inside right away so we wont get wet, offered drinks and guide us to NX in a show room) the sales guy name Joe - i'm glad there is people like that on earth (example of perfect customer service and human kindness), so we get into a NX, Joe explained all details and offered a test drive (even on a heavy rainy day!!!), the vehicle with packages that we wanted wasn't on a parking lot, Joe immediately ran for the key for the right one and promised to be in a few minutes (the guy drove to spare parking lot, which located apart from the dealership and brought us what we wanted, pure white NX f sport, waiting time was minimal (again under heavy rain - without knowing of my previous review, all i said is that previous experience wasn't pleasant last time, so he promised to fix it). We test drove NX around the block that day, but didn't took it to the freeway, Joe really stepped up that day and if it wasn't for him i don't know if i would ever went back to that same dealership, and i did but about it later. After our visit i really felt that he is really motivated and knowledgeable person, friendly and kind. Joe followed up on our visit that same day by calling me to assure our experience was good, and it was. He promised to do all he can, to work with the sales manager the deal that we would like. Few days after, Joe contacted me again with offer to definitely stop by and discuss the deal with Jay Uppal, i have made a few quote requests from different dealerships and head back today on 03/19/16 to see what Lexus of Roseville can do for us "numbers wise" and put it on a paper. We went to service our VW at that same dealership Auto-mall, and after picking it up stopped by the Lexus, in a split second after we parked Richard walked out, greeted us, apologized and explained that last the time he was really busy - i understood. I have asked for a chance to test drive NX on a freeway, it was perfect sunny day for a short run. Richard assured us that he will dedicate to us as much time as we would need to. It came up there was no NX in F sport on a parking lot again, so Richard had guide us to ES to drive together to pick up NX at the storage (ES is a great sedan by the quality of the ride by the way). We went on a short trip on NX and came back to a dealership, Richard i personally thank you for that time that you have dedicated to us today. So we stepped inside to meet Jay in person to work our deal, Joe walked by, smiled to us and greeted as well. We currently working on numbers for our lease deal. I want to say one thing - that's the way it should have been from the very beginning, i give a credit to all guys that i have mentioned in this and previous review for the effort to wash away bad times that we had and still working with me, i'm very pleased with the level of customer service we had received now. Great job. P.S. the negotiating part and deal work out i will announce later, stay in touch. I really hope we will work it out to a 5 star review at the end. More

They found the exact NX 200t that I wanted. Weimer made sure that I test drove it, answered questions and made sure it was the car that I wanted. I did a lot of shopping and Lexus of Roseville was the best price and BEST customer service. After, we finished up the paper work Brittany Cleveland walked me through all of the tech features that were on the vehicle. So helpful. Overall, it was an EXCELLENT experience from start to finish!! They also encouraged me to call or stop by if I had any questions or just to say hi. I highly recommend Lexus of Roseville. Give Weimer a call 916-257-1892. We looked at an RX-350, which was offered as a weekend special. We were treated very professionally by Yargo. We did not purchase the vehicle until our second visit when we brought my wife's LS-430 in for a possible trade in. We were able to negotiate a fair price on a low mileage (14K) 2015 RX-350, which had been used as a loaner vehicle. We also negotiated a fair trade in value on our 2001 LS-430, which only had 96K miles, and was well taken care of. Yargo walked us through the entire process with a very comfortable sales approach. He is a genuinely warm person and we felt like he was very sincere. We highly recommend the services of Yargo Basta. All in all, our experience was very positive; despite the two sessions it took for us to make a final purchase decision. More

After 13 months of ownership it started having a terrible odor coming from AC when I would turn on my car. The smell is so strong that it makes me sick to be in the car so I contacted the dealership for an appointment. When I got there I was informed by an advisor that this type of problem can't be fixed or covered by any warranty but since I insisted they would do a one time only courtesy service and change the filter and disinfectant the ac system. I picked up my car the next day and driving out I could already smell it again but I thought I would give it a day and see what would happen. Two days later the smell is back and worse than ever. Going over the paperwork from the dealership I realized they didn't bill for parts which means they didn't change the filter and no indication of disinfection of the system either. I am so disappointed in Lexus, the car is new and looks great but smells awful. I have owned a Mazda a Honda and a Toyota in the past and never had this issue. I am paying over $40000 for a car I can't stand to be in because the smell is making me sick. I get nauseas and start to cough when I get in the car and for a healthy 30 year old that is not normal. Lexus needs to fix this problem and stop brushing customers off like it's no big deal. I will not be purchasing a Lexus in the future. More

An Unexpected Purchase My wife and I had been kind of halfheartedly looking a wagons/SUVs to replace my 10 year old sedan. Occasionally, I would check different dealers' we My wife and I had been kind of halfheartedly looking a wagons/SUVs to replace my 10 year old sedan. Occasionally, I would check different dealers' websites to see if they had what I wanted, but apparently I have very discerning taste because what I wanted apparently didn't exist in the used car universe. When I finally saw one of the Lexus RX350s with the options I wanted in the color I wanted available at Lexus of Roseville, I called them up to ask a few questions. I got in touch with Sean and he answered most of my questions over the phone. Well...it was the last day of the month so we drove up to Roseville (about an hour away) on a Sunday night (after Thanksgiving) to look at the car. Once we got there, Sean was with another customer and handed us off to Joe. Joe took us for a ride (even though we had test-driven the same model before) and answered almost all of our other questions. Then it was time to talk turkey (it was the right time of year, after all). We got involved with Chris, the sales manager and started working numbers. This was a new experience for me. I'm used to having a price in mind and negotiating over the actual cost of the vehicle. The way they (and as I've since been told -- most dealers now) do it, they want to know your budget/target payments and will work backwards to get the price/financing that will work. Fortunately, I had worked a few "what ifs" so I had an idea of what my payments should be. We didn't quite get down to the price I had in mind, but they were able to tweak my financing a little to get me to within $50 of my target payments. It wasn't very "hard sell" for a car dealer -- again, the last car I bought was 10 years ago, so I don't know how much has changed in the industry since. They obviously wanted to sell a car and that's just business, but I didn't feel pressured or intimidated by these guys. However, it WAS about an hour past closing and I'm sure they were ready to get home :-). Once we made our deal, it was off to the Business Office to sign all the papers, make the down payments, and make any last minute adjustments. I was interested in the extended warranty, the Lo-Jack, and the interior protection, and Lynn, one of the finance managers was able to adjust my financing even more so I could get the extra options I wanted without changing my payments (they ended up being about $4/month more over and extra 6 months -- no big deal). After signing about 50 pages (I may be exaggerating, but that's what it seemed like at the time) of papers, we had the keys to our new Lexus. The new cars these days have lots of tech in them and Lexus has a staff of Technology/Delivery experts to help you get everything setup the way you want it and explain everything to you. Since it was now about 2 hours past closing, I didn't have the heart to keep poor Brittany there any longer that she needed to be. I'm a pretty tech savvy guy and assumed I could figure out most of the bells & whistles. However, she got my phone paired up with the car and went over the manuals and a few other questions I had. But she told me to give a call anytime I need any tech help with the car. One other little plus (it's always the little things that make the difference), I had driven my car up there to see about trading it in. They weren't able to offer me what I wanted, so we decided to keep it. They had no problem with me leaving my car there a few days until I could get back up to get it. I took Amtrak up right after work and Joe met me at the train station to bring me to the dealership so I could drive my old car home. All-in-all it was an enjoyable buying experience. Although I've only had the car for 1 full day, I was thoroughly impressed with the folks at Lexus of Roseville. I was almost turned off by the Yelp reviews of this dealer, but I've learned that it's really easy to complain about anything on the Internet, so I looked at other ratings and DealerRater.com had good things to say. I'm glad I went and am part of the Lexus family. More
