Called to book a service. Was told it would be two hours; planned to wait. Dropped it off at 8am on the day and was told it would be a 5-6 hour service. Two choices: wait an hour for a loner car or get a “shuttle” home. Took the shuttle. No news by 4pm so called. Car wouldn’t be ready until 11am the next morning due to an “incident.” My service manager wouldn’t be in the following day but was given the name/number of someone else who would be dealing with my car. Next day, 11am, no news. Called at 12pm and left a message. An hour later someone (not the same person) calls back. Car is ready. They send a shuttle to pick me up. When I get there, the person I had spoken to is on lunch so I get shunted to someone else. He had no interest in reviewing what was done on the car, just charging my credit card. The car seems fine, but the quality of their customer service is way below where it used to be. The service managers all have “we aim for a 5 star review” signs on their desks but it feels like they operate on an “each man for himself” basis rather than a team. Clearly some managers hold more sway over the service order/technicians and hence if you get an underdog manager, your car will be pushed down the pecking order. And if the customer in question isn’t “your” client, they don’t care about the customer service element because that customer’s review won’t affect them. All feels highly political and somewhat cut throat. What happened to customer service being the number one priority? Sadly, the West Palm Beach dealership is the only Lexus service option in our area, otherwise I would find somewhere else to take my car. Every service, there is always something …. More
I'm a long time Lexus owner switching from JM Lexus to Palm Beach years ago. We have purchased over five Lexus' from this dealership. The last service experience was poor. When the appointment was scheduled, I asked that a driver side front mud flap be available to coordinate a service and repair appointment. I learned at the appointment that it had not been coordinated and that I would need to return (live in Jupiter). I scheduled an appointment for this past Monday at 3PM. Before the appointment, I called to see if the work could be done earlier which was approved. I arrived at 1:10PM for a one hour repair. At 3:10PM, I was told that they had ordered the wrong part. It literally took two hours before they even looked at my car. Obviously frustrated, I asked the asst. service manager to have the service manager contact me. Three days later, I have not heard from the service manager or Lexus. I will be contacting Autonation and will likely be making the drive to JM Lexus going forward. Just a poor experience with absolutely no respect for a loyal customer. More
