After keeping an eye on their pre-owned lot for three years, we found a 2008 Avalon which was never on our radar screen. The only reason we went into the dealership was due to the fact we have owned two prior ones and know Toyota products are rock-solid. If everything checked out then we knew we had a reliable vehicle. After doing my homework, I found positive comments about Scott Darst, so my wife called to set-up an appointment to drive the car. From the beginning to the end of the sales process, Scott was very helpful, friendly, sincere and wanted our business for the right reasons. Almost everything about Lexus of Naperville exudes professionalism. They even let us take the car to our mechanic to have it checked out. Scott, we really appreciate your thoughtfulness and professional tact this past week. However, their used car desk-manager let us walk out of the dealership the first night, because he did not like our offer. Did you really have enough information to make that decision so quickly? And where was the counter offer? I am pretty confident you had to be happy with the profit you made for your dealership. I have been in sales for 40+ years and would not think about treating a prospective buyer like this. Scott called me back within an hour to say they accepted our offer. I could have definitely said, NO, but I am not like that. Bill Cranley, their Finance Manager, was very professional and nice to work with. Whenever we have had to bring the car in for any service we have been pleased with the service department. They are prompt and professional. After finalizing my purchase I had received further assistance from Andrew Farraher, who explained to me how to operate the various up-to-date features of my new car. Andrew knew the car inside and out, he really took pleasure in ensuring that I was comfortable in its use as well. Upon parting with Andrew, he left me his number and insisted that before I even check the manual, I call him with any questions I may have. It was without a doubt the best experience in our purchasing our new Lexus. Andrew was truly a expert in helping us both to use the many electronic features of our Lexus. He set up the GPS, Satellite Radio and Enhanced Roadside Assistance, he also said that he would be available if we needed any further help. If ever my family or friends ask me about my experience in my Lexus, I would not hesitate to highly recommending Lexus of Naperville. Bruce was very helpful in closing the transaction of our purchase. And he also will help in my receiving a rebate of an extended service plan that I purchased from another dealer. I was recently involved in a car accident and my car was totaled. I was given 7 days to find a car. Lexus was not my first choice, but after my first choice didn't work out, I happened to notice the Lexus RX 330 and knew that was the car I wanted. A friend of mine was researching the Lexus and noticed that Lexus of Naperville had one for sale. He told me he had a good feeling about this car and he was right. I had called the Used Car Manager, Bill Borta prior to going. I had explained my situation and the urgency. He told me to come on in and the car would be waiting for me to test drive. When I arrived, Bill was at the front door waiting to greet me. He told me that Laura would be assisting me further. Bill could not have made a better choice. From the moment I met Laura, I knew I was in good hands. Her professionalism, friendliness and overall knowledge was quite impressive. Never once did Laura make me feel pressured. She was very understanding of my situation and for the first time during this stressful time, I finally had felt relieved. I knew in my heart that this was the car and it was Laura's salesmanship that assured me I was making the right decision. They say you should always find the positive in a negative situation. We had been searching for a used Toyota Solara for about a month. Living in The Bloomington/ Normal Illinois area, we were willing to travel to find the car we wanted. We found that Lexus of Naperville had a car that was of interest to us. I sent an email, which was promptly answered by the dealership. We made an impromptu trip to Naperville, ( no appointment) and were introduced to Scott Durst. His friendliness and easy going manner were a pleasant surprise as our most recent experiences at dealerships, had been high pressure and unpleasant. We took the car for a test drive, and upon returning, made an offer. Since we had done our research prior, we knew what we were willing to pay for the car. While we did not immediately come to terms, we eventually came to an agreement the next week. The whole process was pleasant...from the moment we met Scott, to him pulling the car indoors to view, to the test drive, to the negotiations, to picking the car up, completely detailed. Our faith has been restored in purchasing a vehicle from a dealership....at least from LEXUS of NAPERVILLE! Of course, SCOTT DURST made the biggest impression! Thanks Scott! More
