Originally scheduling my appointment online I was offered an option to receive a loaner as well as another service consultant would be assisting me. A follow up call should be made to give the customer a heads up that they may not receive a loaner vehicle and to portray other possible options as in re-schedule, drop off, time lapse of service etc. It is also more comforting for scheduled consultants to greet their customers and to make them feel welcomed instead of customers pulling up to service to wait for anyone to greet them without providing a name at the very least. I originally scheduled with Las Vegas Lexus but opted out because I was not greeted at all when I had arrived. I choose to drive an additional 30 mins to Henderson to receive better service. Customer service is always #1 and guarantees business to return and to be recommended to other potential clients. More
Service team great/Lexus Corp. not so great In late March of this year I bought a Certified 2013 Lexus GS 350 at your Henderson dealership. I just brought it in On Sept. 4 for its six month Ce In late March of this year I bought a Certified 2013 Lexus GS 350 at your Henderson dealership. I just brought it in On Sept. 4 for its six month Certified service and everyone I came in contact with was quite professional and mannerly. I explained to the service reps of two issues that came with the car, as purchased, 1. occasional loud pop in the sunroof ( a known issue with Lexus on Lexus forum) and 2. front seat upholstery and a plastic piece that does not meet nor cover the very front bottom edge of the front passenger seat. An obvious screw is missing and a large plastic piece does not mesh with the cushion. The guys in service asked if I could come back to have these two issues dealt with. The front lower plastic cover was pulled out and left as such, I imagine since they were to work on it again soon. I was informed that authorization from Lexus was needed but it didn’t seem to be a problem. The next morning I was informed by Steven Diem from the service dept. when he called me to explain that both issues were denied as a result of normal wear and tear. I believe Lexus Corp punted on the sunroof issue and I take responsibility for not having inspected the front seat with a magnifying glass and a fine-tooth comb before I drove off with the car. I was advised by the service dept. to contact my sales person as he may have some sway in addressing these issue. Well, Isiah tried but was informed about the wear and tear guidelines and informed me that nothing could be done. In summation I get it, but I am at least a bit disappointed in the result of the corporate decision in regard to my issues. The front seat condition was something that should have been taken care of at the dealership in order to qualify the GS 350 for Certified classification and again, my bad. I will not fight these issues but I have learned a lesson or two in regard to the limited coverage provided the “Certified” status of vehicles. All of the personnelI that I had contact were quite professional but my opinion of Lexus corporate has diminished significantly. More
