The waiting area is setup to be very effective for being able to work on conference calls. The barista makes a great tea and the fruit and snacks are tasty when you have a long wait. Within minutes, I was on the road in a shiny new loaner. The next day, I got a call, a text and an email, letting me know my car was ready. When I arrived, I was greeted with my name in lights, and escorted to the waiting area. Before I was seated, I was called in, and on my way in less than 5 mintues. The gentlemen assisting me were friendly, and professional, giving me back a freshly washed car with a tank full of gas! I felt like royalty! More

While there, I thought I'd take a look at a used Lexus they had advertised. My BMW had some issues and I wasn't sure they would take in in trade. We haggled some about that, but they gave me a good trade price, all things considered, and I drove away in the Lexus. My sale person -- Ray -- did a very good job, and all of the Kuni personnel I dealt with were first class professionals. This is a quality store. The Lexus I bought had been thoroughly gone over and they had brought it up to a very high quality before delivery. I am very pleased. Brian Spillane More

Found the perfect car; miscommunication w/finance manager Kuni Lexus in Greenwood has a beautiful facility. Its sales personnel are professional and dressed the part. When I came in on Saturday, April 18th, Kuni Lexus in Greenwood has a beautiful facility. Its sales personnel are professional and dressed the part. When I came in on Saturday, April 18th, I was referred to Danny, one of their used car personnel. Danny was knowledgeable and very good at his job. He knew the vehicle he was selling and, as a sales person, was very good at his job! After we had gone back and forth for a while, we had come to an agreement on a purchase price/price for my trade in, and decided to move forward with the sale. Here is where we ran into the problem. I have purchased five cars over the last couple of years from different dealerships in different states. I am very familiar with different sales techniques and what is required by law to purchase a vehicle. The finance manager for Kuni, Richi, was summoned when I stated that I did not want to fill out a credit application. I had a dealer check from my bank on hand and was ready to go. The finance manager stated a bunch of things about 9/11, Homeland Security, and the legal necessity for me to sign my approval for him to pull my credit report. For those unaware, there is no legal requirement, law, or regulation that states a car dealership needs to run your credit for the sale of the vehicle. Having my credit run is no big deal, of course. After your first initial credit report pull (which was done by my bank) there should be no further impact to your credit score. What I did not appreciate was being lied to. When I called out the Finance Manager, he basically doubled down, stating that "no car dealership in Colorado would sell me a car without running a credit application" and continued to carry on about how he "had to due to law". When I asked for a regulation/law, he couldn't cite one, and instead showed me a piece of paper concerning OFAC. I read up on OFAC, and while it is a requirement for cash buyers, it does not require any sort of "credit check". In the final moments of my day here, before leaving without any car/sale, I told the finance manager that if it was a "dealership requirement", they can do what they please, but that the main reason I was leaving was that I was being lied to about what is necessary to buy a car. Also, I checked with four more dealers in the Denver area, and all of them stated they could take a dealer check without running my credit. Huh. The next day, I received a phone call from Mr Evans regarding the events that transpired the previous day. I was able to discuss my concerns w/Mr Evans and Mr Carni, which led to a better understanding of their dealership protocols and a hashing out of our miscommunication. Thereafter, the dealership ended up bending over backward to ensure I got the car I wanted at a fair price while making the entire process as simple as possible. While I felt I did have to be a bit of a pain (sorry, gentlemen!), in the end I walked away with a car I love from a team of people who worked their hardest to make my life easy. You know what? I think I would buy another car here. Also, the facility is still -outrageously- nice. More
