Ruined my bulletproof Lexus Look, this is the first bad review I have ever posted. Brought my car in for an airbag recall and after that it has broken down twice. I am convinced Look, this is the first bad review I have ever posted. Brought my car in for an airbag recall and after that it has broken down twice. I am convinced they shocked the electrical system and will not accept responsibility. After driving my Lexus for 7 years, over 100,000 miles, with not one issue, one week after getting it back from their shop the alternator went out and now the starter. I was lucky with the alternator to have a long time friend fix it for under $300 (the same small shop that put an entire new timing belt in at 90,000 miles) but now this starter is being quoted at $1300! Seriously, folks. I have now been without a car for 3 months waiting to save up to fix it. I have called the dealer and Lexus and will continue to let people know! More

A NIGHTMARE I recently purchased a used 2008 Lexus LS 460. I purchased my vehicle in Texas and I live in Florida. This experience with Lexus has been a complete I recently purchased a used 2008 Lexus LS 460. I purchased my vehicle in Texas and I live in Florida. This experience with Lexus has been a complete NIGHTMARE! Now we all know once you purchase a car from the Dealership Its all shiny and pretty. I’ve noticed that the material on the inside of all 4 doors are literally MELTING. It looks HORIABLE!!!!! I tried to have it professionally detailed and it still looks BAD not to mention its STICKY to the touch. If that’s not the worse, it gets worse than that … I went to go to work and my vehicle would not START!??? I tried to get a jump, thinking it was the battery, or the starter. Nothing Worked! I got my vehicle towed to The Lexus of Clearwater Dealership…. Thinking they can help… (WRONG). I felt like all the DEALER care about is MONEY…MONEY…MONEY (How DEEP are your POCKETS!!!! I’m a SINGLE parent, my funds are accounted for. Lexus advised me that I would need to get a diagnostic test done first on the vehicle so they can see what is wrong with it, which is $100.00. Then Lexus advised me that my Fuel Pressure Sensor has went out, and need to be replaced by ME and the cost of that will be 1500.00. They didn’t mention Any RECALLs or Anything ELSE. I had to do my homework. When I looked up RECALLS for Lexus 2008 LS 460 it stated there’s a recall on the Fuel System, Gasoline, delivery Hoses, Lines, Piping and Fittings. So I called the Dealer back, and they advised that according to my VIN number my vehicle was already repaired for the recall. So I would be responsible for 1500.00 bill, I then asked to speak with someone at Corporate, So the Lexus Rep passed the buck and gave me Corp. number. I then called and made a complaint and was advised someone will call me back in 2 days. Still not having a LOANER vehicle and No source of transportation. I finally spoke with a CASE Manager at Corporate and was advised that he will look into the matter and he will call me back in another 2 days. Meanwhile I’ve been without a Vehicle for an entire week. Yet still there is no guarantee on if my vehicle would be covered under the Recall. So long story short. … I thought very highly of LEXUS and now with my material MELTING and Fuel issue’s this has been a REAL LIFE NIGHTMARE. To anyone out there reading this …Please think twice before purchasing an LEXUS, I’m being RIPPED OFF! If a Recall part went bad again, Lexus should cover that with out question. More
Service manager is a Moron I notified my sales rep couple days after I purchased a rx350 that something need to be fixed, her response no problem bringing in at your convenien I notified my sales rep couple days after I purchased a rx350 that something need to be fixed, her response no problem bringing in at your convenience will cover it! She still had the txt and showed it to the service manager. Life got in the way so I came there today for an oil change and that part to be fixed. Since I’m one month out of my three month coverage they will not cover that fix which is a $40 part! After spensing 2.5 hours there and nothing accomplished I left pissed with nothing done to my car. I’ll get my oil changes and services done somewhere else. They just lost a new lifetime customer over $40. What a Moron!!!! Worst service department Ever. More

Service above and beyond the call of duty. I've written previously to say that I do buy used Lexus vehicles from Lexus of Clearwater, in part because they're a great dealership, in part because I've written previously to say that I do buy used Lexus vehicles from Lexus of Clearwater, in part because they're a great dealership, in part because Lexus makes a great product, but mostly because my Service Advisor, Mike Aloia gives me outstanding service. Late last week my wife and I returned to Tampa Bay after an extended absence only to find that the interior of her RX 330 was covered in a light mold. I had the car washed inside and out just before we left town, so if sat for over two weeks and the residual moisture trapped in the car's interior, coupled with the lack of ventilation, created ideal conditions for runaway mold growth. This was discovered on a Friday. On the following Tuesday, just three days away, my daughter and three grandchildren were arriving and would be using the car extensively, and should not be exposed to all the mold. In desperation, I called Mike Aloia on the only number I had in my cell phone for Mike to see what he could do on such short notice. It turns out Friday was Mike's day off and I had called him on his cell number. Nonetheless, Mike called me back from his cell phone - and on his day off - and had everything arranged - including a loaner vehicle - to have me bring the car in first thing Monday morning for a deep cleaning service, if that should be necessary! I don't think it gets any better that this when it comes to customer service! Mike Ertel More
Customer Service at Lexus Clearwater July 10, 2016 Customer Service at Lexus Clearwater July 10, 2016 One week ago, on Saturday July 2, I went to Lexus to service my car and had a bad and dissatisf Customer Service at Lexus Clearwater July 10, 2016 One week ago, on Saturday July 2, I went to Lexus to service my car and had a bad and dissatisfying experience. After writing the specifics up on the different social media that Lexus provides for customers, I received a call from Scott Coyner (Customer Care Director). Talking to him was much better, showed care for me. Scott took responsibility for the last Saturday’s experience, allowing not to leave dissatisfied with their customer service. I do appreciate Companies that take the care to handle any bad experience for their customers. The truth of the matter is, one can always do something about it. And a happy customer out the door is 10x more valuable than an unhappy customer leaving your shop. At the end is your customer and word of mouth that handles the stronger PR for the Company. Thank you Scott Coyner. Sincerely, Marina Simon More
Beware of "Certified Pre-Owned" Claims On August 18, 2015, we purchased a “Certified Pre-Owned” Lexus RX350. The vehicle had 10,108 miles. As of March 6, 2016, the vehicle has 15,656 mile On August 18, 2015, we purchased a “Certified Pre-Owned” Lexus RX350. The vehicle had 10,108 miles. As of March 6, 2016, the vehicle has 15,656 miles, so we have put 5,548 miles on this car in less than 7 months. On March 6, 2016, I had a flat tire (rear driver’s side). We took the car to Tires Plus to have it checked out. We were told that we needed a new tire because I drove with the flat tire which damaged it. We were also told that the two front tires were bad and needed to be replaced and that the remaining rear tire was "questionable". We got several quotes for replacing all four tires, ranging from $750 to over $800. We noticed when getting these quotes that the tires were projected to last from 40,000 to 65,000 miles. This caused us to question why our tires were bad after being driven less than 16,000 miles. This also caused us to wonder if bad tires was the reason for the tire going flat in the first place. My husband called Lexus of Clearwater and spoke with Scott Coyner, Service Director. He explained our concerns regarding the tires. Scott said he needed to inspect the tires and then he would “work with us”. We were due for an oil change so we advised Scott that we would bring the car in for the oil change and tire inspection. We took the car in on March 9, 2016. After inspecting the tires, Scott told us it would cost $1,300 to replace the tires with Michelin tires and do a front end alignment. My husband told Scott that was not “working with us” at all and he informed Scott of the quotes we had gotten for Goodyear tires. Scott then said he would match the quotes we got of $800 for Goodyear tires plus the cost of the front end alignment. My husband reiterated that this was not helping us in any way as we could get Goodyear tires cheaper than that at Sam’s Club. We were expecting at least some type of break based on the fact that we purchased a “Certified Pre-Owned” car with bad tires. However, Scott informed us that was all he could do. So we got out oil change and left the dealership. We realize that tires are not specifically covered by the “Certified Pre-Owned” warranty. However, what does “Certified Pre-Owned” mean? Does the dealership not check the tires before “certifying” a car? Shouldn’t a consumer be able to assume that the tires are good on a “Certified Pre-Owned” car sold by Lexus and that these tires are going to last more than 5,000 miles after leaving the dealership? Needless to say, we are very disappointed with the fact that we were sold a “Certified Pre-Owned” car with bad tires and the dealership is not willing to acknowledge any responsibility for this. We went ahead and had the one tire replaced at Tires Plus. We also had to replace the TPMS Sensor which was bad and may also have contributed to me driving on a flat tire as this should have alerted me that the tire was flat. Not sure if this should have been covered under the warranty, but at this point I don’t want to deal with Lexus anymore. Furthermore, we just found out that when you have an alignment done, it is warrantied for 12 months or 12,000 miles. So, was the alignment not checked as part of the certification process or is it not part of the warranty you are supposed to get with a "certified Pre-Owned" car? Even worse than the response we received from the dealership is the fact that the corporate office never responded to the letter I sent them. So if you are thinking about purchasing a "Certified Pre-Owned" car from Lexus of Clearwater, you might want to have the car inspected by your own mechanic! More
