Lexus of Clearwater REVIEW I went to Lexus of Clearwater just to look at a car. I ended up purchasing and staying because of the Service. Trying to purchasing a second 2024 Toyota Supra, but Clearwater just to look at a car. I ended up purchasing and staying because of the Service. Trying to purchasing a second 2024 Toyota Supra, but all the price gouging with the Toyota dealers were putting the Supra at over $100k for the car. SIDE NOTE: I think there's nothing wrong with adding $10k to $15k to the price of a car that's wanted, but adding $35,000 to the price of a Toyota? After a month of searching and dealing with shady Toyota dealerships I thought for $100K what about a Lexus. I decided to go to Lexus OF Clearwater. On a Sunday morning, I was looking at the 2024 RCF online. Out of the blue I drove to Lexus of Clearwater on that Sunday evening one hour before they were closing. I had on weekend jeans and a T-shirt, and I wasn't dressed up. The one person who greeted me was Anthony Kungulus. At this point, I didn't know he was the sales manager of Lexus. He quickly sat me down and let me explain my situation. about the Toyota Supra. Within 15 minutes I had printouts of two 2024 RCF cars that were in the middle of being built in Japan that were headed to Lexus of Clearwater. A black one and a white one with Vin numbers and specs, and the ability to lock one of those down immediately. Anthony said to me, "while you decide which one you want", he throws me the keys to a LC 500 convertible that was parked out front and introduces me to a sales associate named Chloe. Before I knew it I'm driving the LC 500 convertible with Chloe on US 19 having a blast. I didn't realize the LC 500 was such a beautiful car. When we came back to the dealership after the test drive, I put a deposit of $1,000 down on the 2024 RCF with the exact specs, color and Vin number. Chloe said it will be here within 30 days. Congratulations. Also, Anthony said since we are of AutoNation there is a discount of $2,500. Which I didn't even ask for or know about. He didn't have to lower the price but he did. After what I've been through the past month my jaw dropped. One week later I still couldn't get the Lexus LC 500 out of my mind. That test drive on Sunday evening sealed it for me. 4 days later on Friday I called Anthony and Chloe back and said can you get me a new LC 500 but not a convertible. I wanted a LC 500 coupe on top of that I wanted a white one. They had convertibles, but the LC 500 coupe seems to be a little bit more difficult to find. Within 15 minutes Anthony called me back and said "we located a new white LC 500 coupe and we can have it delivered to our dealership in 48 hours". I said I wanted the car. What do I do next? He said no problem we have your deposit for the RCF. We're just transferring it to the LC 500. Don't worry the car is yours. After what I went through trying to Purchase the Supra, everything seemed "To Easy", and that made me worry... All this took place on a Friday the next morning at 9 AM I get a text from Anthony saying my LC 500 is at Lexus of Clearwater. Not only was it ready to go, Chloe met me right outside the dealership to bring me inside. Anthony gave me a $4,000 rebate and took that off the price of the car. I was not expecting that at all. What a great car! What a great Dealership! What a great experience! I'm finally home 🏠 To bring this full circle... I went to Lexus OF Clearwater to just look at a car. Michelle, my regular service advisor, always goes the extra mile to ensure my 2004 Lexus LS430 (vintage!) gets the care it deserves. I could go to other places for service, but I wouldn't get this level extra mile to ensure my 2004 Lexus LS430 (vintage!) gets the care it deserves. I could go to other places for service, but I wouldn't get this level of expertise. More

Great experience from start to finish, traded in an old work truck for a lightly used Lexus. Extended warranty options were offered but not pushed; in fact, no hard selling was done so overall, a very eas work truck for a lightly used Lexus. I'd like to rate the Sales Process a 5, and the Finance process a 3. Preston did a great job at communication with us for the entire year of 2023. Every time he had a vehicle coming or available, he wo process a 3. Preston did a great job at communication with us for the entire year of 2023. Every time he had a vehicle coming or available, he would contact us. We were finally ready in November and we made a deal with him in Mid December. We arrived in Florida for our winter vacation on Dec 30 and picked our new car up that day. The 2.49% finance rate on GX460 models is what tipped us to buy at this time. The day after picking up the car I received notice that I dislike the AutoNation policy of requiring a credit check in advance of the purchase instead of going online to Lexus Financial for the credit check. Even though I said in writing that I preferred to have the credit check to be done through Lexus Financial, I was told that Lexus provides the programs. We qualified in mid December and I was sent a purchase agreement of the final price calculation and a chart showing the payment with the 2.49% rate - which I was asked to sign to secure the purchase. When we arrived at the dealership, we were asked to complete another credit application which was described as "just needing the original copy on file in addition to the digital application". We moved our personal items from our car to the new car and had a lengthy wait for the finance officer to meet with us. After completing the paperwork for the financing and signing the purchase and finance documents (digitally), we were presented with several options for additional coverage that we could purchase. The only one we were interested in was the tire and wheel protection. After the finance person extended the coverage to 60 months unlimited miles, we agreed to purchase it as we told him "because we would certainly need new tires within that 60 month period". As we did not want to have to change the finance documents and resign everything again, we provided a credit card for the purchase of the T&W protection. We digitally signed the paperwork for the T&W protection and left the dealership at 9:30 pm (Closing time was 7 PM) after a 4 hour process. After reading through the paper documents for the T&W protection We read that the coverage was only valid if the tire wear was 3/32" or better and it DID NOT COVER WEAR, which we expressly discussed with the finance person. So we spoke with Sidney on Dec 31 and declared the intention to cancel the T&W coverage- well within the 30 day time frame provided in the documents for cancellation. I received the cancellation form by email on Jan 5th. I contacted him to let him know that we did not have a printer at the vacation rental and that I'd sign the form when we came to the dealership on January 10th for the appointment to pick up the missing All Weather Cargo mat and for the window tint which was not completed in advance of our arrival on Dec 30th. At that time I asked if the refund for the cancellation would be processed back to our credit card. Sidney promised to speak to accounting and get back to us on that but it might have to go to the principal of the loan. After our service appointment was complete, we left the dealership. On Jan 12th, I asked our sales rep to contact Sidney about the disposition of the refund as we still had not heard from him. Sidney responded, "Because the Warranty was already processed and enforced by the Warranty company we have to cancel it with them and therefore the Refund for the full amount goes back to the Principle of the loan." When I queried about how long that process would take to apply the amount to the principal, I was told that it could be up to 12 weeks. In addition, the cargo mats that we were to pick up on Jan 10 during our service visit, were FedEx shipped to our home in Jefferson, SD. So, I would say that our experience with the Finance aspect of our customer experience with Lexus of Clearwater was much less satisfying than expected based on the exemplary attention we have received from Preston.
