AVOID THIS DEALER. Again, AVOID THIS DEALER. I purchased a late-model pre-owned luxury sedan with low miles. But if you think it was from a respectable & reputable dealership, GUESS AGAIN. My un purchased a late-model pre-owned luxury sedan with low miles. But if you think it was from a respectable & reputable dealership, GUESS AGAIN. My understanding was the vehicle I’d purchased had NO issues whatsoever . NONE. However, once I drive the car off the lot & get it back home, what do I discover? DAMAGE. Plain and simple there is DAMAGE. On the underside of the front bumper. It’s all cracked and sagging and WRECKED. Before I bought it, NO, I did NOT get down on the ground on all 4’s to try & shimmy & wedge myself underneath the vehicle to inspect for structural damage. Is that what you NEED to do before you buy a used car at Lexus of Chandler?!? I mean, isn’t THAT kind of deceptive & unethical xxxx that happens down on the used car lots on Van Buren Street – or on Main Street in Mesa??? Is THAT the kind of dealership Lexus of Chandler is?!? In a word, YES. Because at Lexus of Chandler, I was sold a used vehicle that the general public would all agree was DAMAGED. Furthermore, it turns out that the dealer knew ALL about this damage, but deliberately neglected to inform ME about. Thus, once I discovered the truth, my first day of ownership was NOT spent joy-riding around or otherwise showing off my new purchase. Instead, I went to COLLISION CENTERS to get estimates to repair the DAMAGE – for parts, paints, & labor. For example, Lexus of Chandler itself uses the Penske Collision Center in South Scottsdale. Penske estimated the repair for the DAMAGE to my vehicle at over 2 THOUSAND dollars. That’s 2 GRAND. Who wants to buy a used car for $20K – only to find out that on top of all other expenses, there is an additional $2K – or 10% of the purchase price -- awaiting to be spent to repair secret DAMAGE?!? My car was NOT sold to me as a fixer-upper. It was NOT sold to me as mechanic’s special. It was NOT sold to me as a vehicle requiring any TLC. It was sold to me as a whole and totally complete vehicle in need of NOTHING. Thus I took the car back to Lexus of Chandler and informed the sales “team” of this. The first to “deal” with me was my actual salesman. I say “deal” with me because by this time, though, I didn’t feel at ALL welcome at Lexus of Chandler – I felt like Lexus of Chandler just wanted me to get off their lot -- & STAY off & not bother them with my problems. Thus it came as no surprise when my original salesman ended up SHOUTING at me outside in front of the showroom that Lexus of Chandler would NOT replace the damaged bumper. The salesman SHOUTED – over & over & OVER again – that Lexus of Chandler would NOT replace the front bumper. Like, xxx – should Lexus of Chandler expect customers to stand outside in front of the show room and have their salesman SHOUT at them?!? UNREAL. Accordingly, I had no choice but to take this drama INSIDE -- into the showroom -- where sales director Bernie Wahl was located. Mr. Wahl admitted YES, he knew all about the vehicle’s condition prior to sale. But he insisted the damage was merely “cosmetic.” However, when I further pressed Mr. Wahl as to why this two-thousand dollar’s worth of “cosmetic” damage had not been repaired prior to offering the vehicle for sale, Mr. Wahl basically stated the cost of the repair would have priced the vehicle outside of the profit margin desired by Lexus of Chandler. My, my, my -- isn’t THAT a pretty pathetic picture? Moral of the story: AVOID THIS DEALER. Who needs the deception?!? Who needs the drama?!? Who needs the DAMAGE?!? AVOID. THIS. DEALER. Not only did I pay less than I expected, my experience with the dealership was outstanding. My sales associate, Kelly Liston, was courteous and professional without exerting the typical automobile sales associate pressure. My meeting with the business manager was professional, brief and expedient. The dealership's manager was friendly and accommodating. The dealership's follow through with me after the sale reassured me that I made the right choice doing business with them. I would highly recommend this dealership! More
This was my third visit to a Lexus dealer in this area. Lexus of Chandler is more than a step ahead. The concierge service couple with what Tom offered was better than the best. I've been going to Lexus of Chandler for about 9 years now and I've never had any issues with them. I've talked to Mike Wills before about getting a new Lexus and didn't feel pressured at all. Eve years now and I've never had any issues with them. I've talked to Mike Wills before about getting a new Lexus and didn't feel pressured at all. Even though I eventually purchased the car else where he seemed reasonable and not an in your face type of car salesman. Most of my experience with this dealership is using their service department on the two Lexus RXs that I've owned. I used to go to Lexus of Scottsdale before Lexus of Chandler opened up and I wasn't thrilled with them so it was no surprised they eventually closed down. This dealership is very easy going, even the clients in the waiting room are mellow and many bring their laptops. They have always had the car ready when they said it would be ready so I never had to waste time waiting at the dealership. If it's a quick repair and you choose to stay, they have comfy coaches, tv with cable but also quite areas, wi-fi, drinks, cookies - all Free. This might not sound like much but when you are spending $300+ I never understood why some dealerships can't even offer you a glass of water instead of pointing you to a vending machine? Dax Wood has been my service consultant for years and he is Awesome. I call him up and he has ALWAYS been able to help me out even with small stuff over the phone or just had me bring in the car and fixed little issues on the spot. For scheduled maintenance I just call him and he can usually get me in that day and gets me a loaner car, usually another RX. They almost always wash my car when it's there and if it goes in for a recalled item they fill the tank up. The later was especially nice when gas prices were skyrocketing. A good example of their great customer service was when the battery on the car died one month after my warranty expired and the manager replaced it as a courtesy without a fuss. Long story short, this review has been long overdue and I appreciate the work Dax and his team have done..nothing but praise here. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for great service. More
I was using another dealership for service until 6 months or so I I decided to try the service at Chandler Lexus. Needless to say I was very impressed with the quality of service received and returned for t or so I I decided to try the service at Chandler Lexus. Needless to say I was very impressed with the quality of service received and returned for the second time just recentley. My Service Advisor Daniel Morales provided excellent advice and service in assessing the problems with the car and recommending solutions. He is probably one of the reasons I chose to return to this dealership after my first visit. He has been fair and honest in addressing my concerns. I expect I will continue to be a customer as long as I own a Lexus vehicle. More
