They called to let me know the car had finally arrived (after long delays at the port due to the recall). I made an appointment to go pick it up. Even though I had an appointment, the salesperson was busy (after long delays at the port due to the recall). I made an appointment to go pick it up. Even though I had an appointment, the salesperson was busy with another customer. The car was parked in the driveway when I arrived. Another employee (not sure what his position was) came and put on the temporary license plates and registration, handed me the keys, and said enjoy your car. They didn't show me anything on the vehicle. I started to ask some questions, but we were literally in a driveway with lots of cars driving by and almost taking my door off...so the whole thing was rushed and uncomfortable. The car still had pieces of plastic covering in various places, pieces of elastic string here and there, etc. It had been washed, but not detailed by any means. About 3 weeks after I picked up the car, I learned that they switched my financing to Lexus Financial without even letting me know. I did not finance with Lexus because their rates were very high, and I preferred to use my bank because of the relationship I have with them. When I called the dealer to find out what happened, they said that my bank increased the rate (not true...I confirmed with the bank) so they bought down the rate with Lexus Financial to "do me a favor" and keep the rate that was on the contract I signed. I'm sure that they did it so that they could make money on the loan. I spoke with the sales manager, and he offered to send someone to my house to show me how to use the car. He also offered to have the car detailed, and said he would be back in touch to work out the details. Then he left on a trip, and said he would take care of it upon his return. And then he simply stopped replying to email and phone calls. More
