So much went wrong …. 1. Put down a deposit of $2500 for a specific car/ VIN and without prior notice my credit card was charged an additional 3% fee. When paying on 1. When paying on line they don’t tell you about the 3%, they just add it The law requires on line purchases to identify any credit card fee separately. They failed to do so. Other dealerships do not charge an extra 3% for a credit card deposit. 2. Received call after the day after the deposit that the specific vehicle with a specific VIN # was no longer available as it had been sold. Another one would take 4-6 weeks to get . 3. They added an extra MV fee of $250 into the tax , this is sometimes referred to as a luxury tax , but is actually a supplemental titling fee. They are suppose to itemize this out. They did not. But more importantly the vehicle I contracted for is exempt from this fee. So one would have to know that and catch that they snuck it into the tax. A clear violation of the statutes requirement 4. After all this I cancelled the order and requested a refund. They are very slow to process that as it must go through their finance/business department. After 9 days I still did not have the almost $2600 refund. Now my credit card bill is due and I must pay this or get interest charges on my credit card bill. There are too many games and too many questionable or illegal practices that occurred in this transaction. More
