Went to dealership to purchase a Lexus ES 350 F Sport. Wanted a Matador Red with Brown Walnut interior. Was told that interior only comes in red, black, or white. I looked online at interior colors. Wanted a Matador Red with Brown Walnut interior. Was told that interior only comes in red, black, or white. I looked online at interior colors. The color that I wanted was available. I showed the salesman. He informed me that they only got a certain number of cars allocated per month and that interior was not usually included. I asked if they could possibly get what I wanted. I was told no. I proceeded to call another dealership in Montgomery and they said they will be glad to order the vehicle for me. I am very disappointed in the service offered at your business. You lost a possible cash sale. More

Let me tell you about a salesman named Joe Straub, and what an unprofessional, rude, and arrogant person he is. when I walked in the door a salesman looked at me- which at first sight you may think is so what an unprofessional, rude, and arrogant person he is. when I walked in the door a salesman looked at me- which at first sight you may think is someone who has something medically wrong with him, or is not all there mentally due to no smile on his face at all, and all the personality of a block of wood. We already knew the car we wanted, but we still re-test drove the car, and Joe managed to be rude and smug. I got a quote and went back home. I had been talking with other dealers about the exact car, and received better offers. I ended up negotiating a much better price due to OTHER dealers’ offers’ being better, which Joe Straub did not match. He tried a little bait and switch, After I called him out on that, he finally got the price lower. I could tell this dealer competition was not well taken. Other dealerships still had a better deal by $1,200 but my wife liked the interior in the Birmingham car the best. Joe Straub dropped the ball multiple times with communication, was rude several more instances too much to list on here. The deal proceeded. Joe Straub asked my wife if she wanted a Lexus hat, to which she kindly replied, “yes”. It came time for us to sign the quote to show that we accepted the deal. I told Joe Straub previously that I was not paying $90 for the tires to be filled with nitrous, (none of the other dealerships bothered adding this to their quote btw) but he still had it on the quote. I struck through it with a pen and said that I was not paying it. Joe Straub went to his sales manager to get it removed. When he came back to his desk, he told my wife “there went your hat money” with a smirk on his face. This angered me a lot, I don’t do well when people treat my sweet wife bad for no reason. I did my best to keep my composure, and I immediately went to talk to his sales manager about my terrible experience with Joe Straub. So we signed the papers and drove the car home. A few hours later the dealership tried to call me, but hung up when I answered. This happened 3 times that night, and I thought it was strange. Next day at 10:30 am, I got another call from the dealership, a man said he had some questions about financing. I was confused, and then he said “I have some questions about financing and they transferred me to you”. I said “sir I dont work for Lexus” he said “they just transferred me to you” again. I hung up, and was confused. When the exact same man called a little later saying he was transferred to me again, that is when It became obvious that Joe Straub had put someone up to prank calling me from the dealership. I received a third and a fourth call, and the last call I was quite angry- I told him not to call back- and that I was coming up there, let’s see how funny that will be. I called and left messages for managers to call me back. I told the manager about what happened, and he did not seem to believe me. He wanted proof, so I sent a screenshot of my recent calls, which of coarse proved where the dealership has called me multiple times. I wonder if they will try and make it right? When I told the prank caller not to call me anymore and he called me again this became a CRIME. I have not made a Police Report….yet. Maybe they should give me the money that I would have saved at the other dealership, which is $1,200. Joe’s feelings get hurt because a customer reports how bad he sucks, and resorts to prank calling/harassment. This is not the way I expect to be treated after I just dropped 57k at a “luxury” dealership. I bought the car, contributing to paying everyone’s salary- including the prank caller and Joe! This is far from professional or even respectful treatment from Lexus of Birmingham. This should be a total embarrassment to the GM, as well as to Joe. I can not believe they allow a person like Joe Straub to represent their dealership. I guess Lexus of Birmingham is ok with rude salespeople who HARASS PAYING CUSTOMERS! More

This is by far the most shady car dealership I have ever encountered. When they are caught being unethical they become very dismissive and rude. Ted Layfield does not care about the integrity of the business and really needs some lessons is customer service. The shady business probably all starts with him. Rich needs to figure out a new career all together. If you want to be screwed and cheated this is definitely the place to go. If not there are PLENTY of places that actually conduct business in an ethical manner. I will never step foot back on this lot and will make sure everyone I know is aware of how this business runs its operation. More
This dealership was a blessing to me yesterday! I had been in a 3-car pile up (I was at the front) as I was traveling between Florida and Washington DC. My car was still drivable but the damage c I had been in a 3-car pile up (I was at the front) as I was traveling between Florida and Washington DC. My car was still drivable but the damage caused it to steer “weird” - sort of like the way it feels to steer a car onto the racks at a drive thru car wash and feel the pull in the steering. I was afraid to continue driving much farther and was hoping to get a mechanic to take a look at my car. I called the main number and talked with Angela. I explained the situation and that I was on the interstate about an hour out from their location. She said to get there when I could and then we could figure things out. By the time I arrived at the dealership, the service shop was closed. I explained that I was heading home to Northern Virginia and the insurance company of the 3d driver could not be reached and I didn’t know if I could continue driving it or if I should leave it there and get a rental car and hotel until Monday when hopefully I could actually talk to the other driver’s insurance adjuster. Angela understood my concerns and could tell I was still a bit shaken up from the accident. The GM, “Buzz” came to talk to me and said they would take a look at the damage and let me know what they thought regarding driving it home. He personally drove it to their service area- again it was actually about 30 minutes after the shop had closed. They re-attached the hanging muffler and some other pieces that could be problematic on the 13 hr trip back home. Then, they did not charge me for the service and would not accept a tip. Angela said she was going to check on me because she wanted to make sure I got home safely. I am so grateful for their professionalism and genuine concern!!! More
We were given the salesman card as soon as we arrived. The sales process was wishy-washy from the start. We couldn’t test drive the car or see inside the car until a certain period of time. The car was us The sales process was wishy-washy from the start. We couldn’t test drive the car or see inside the car until a certain period of time. The car was used in the service department for customers to drive while their car was being serviced. We were not told the exact price of the car until the day before the sale. The salesman assured us that the Michelin tires on the car would be replaced with new Michelin tires but the tires were replaced with Yokohama. The Yokohama may be a decant tire but Michelin was the promised replacement. After the drive home my husband wasn’t pleased with the ride of the car! My husband left messages for the salesman(Justan) to return his call two times and we tried to call the dealership 3 times and you can’t leave a message. WE ARE SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS DEALERSHIP. When they get your money, they’re finished with you!!!! More

Worst service experience I’ve ever had. I waited a couple of days to share my experience with Lexus of Birmingham. I was treated very poorly by my service advisor Shantron Frazier. First I I waited a couple of days to share my experience with Lexus of Birmingham. I was treated very poorly by my service advisor Shantron Frazier. First I was treated like I was wrong for wanting to know the pricing of my repairs. I was not walked through every thing that was gonna be done. I was sent a message, no phone call. It was suggested I get new tires I told her I couldn’t fund that right. So she put me in for replacement front brake pads, machine rotors and calibers. No multipoint inspection was done on my car. They replaced the parts bleed the brakes drove it in the parking lot and sent it back to be picked.. sent me messages saying an inspection had been done but no brake inspection was needed on the other two.😒😒😒😒When I went to pick up my vehicle wednesday, I was talked down to, yelled at. I received my car back with my tire lights on and my brake lights came back on.. I returned 2 times and they finally put my car on the machine and got rid of those lights. I’m not a wealthy person, the Lord blessed me with that car. I was charged too much and I’m very hurt behind this. I thank the Lord for changing my heart when it comes to people. If anyone on here can help me please reach out. I need your help..I need to know how to pursue this matter.. I was charged 524..88 for a service that took 17 minutes and the service director ok this. I feel like I was robbed. More
