Had a really horrible experience dealing with Lexus of Sarasota. I bought a pre-owned car that was purchased for overseas use around Mid May 2024 online. Dealing with the team's incompetence and lack of k Sarasota. I bought a pre-owned car that was purchased for overseas use around Mid May 2024 online. Dealing with the team's incompetence and lack of knowledge has been harrowing. This was supposed to be a seamless transaction but it took them a month to clear the paperwork and arrange delivery. Even though they charged me $800 to ship the car from their dealership to the Jacksonville Port, they assigned a trucker who was unfamiliar with the process, and could not deliver the vehicle. I have had to plead with the driver and pay him additional fee to avoid my vehicle been put in a storage. I also negotiate a separate transportation company to deliver the car to the port. In addition, I paid $370 for a spare key that was never delivered. Furthermore, I was told an owners manual will be mailed to me, again another deception. I believe my sales person had good intentions, but the company culture failed him in delivering results. The medium and upper management were simply horrible to put it lightly - They were dismissive of my concerns and often addressed me in a condescending manner. This is not a good dealership to do business with. They certainly do not have a clue when it comes to selling cars to overseas customers. They really have caused me much grievance and sorrow . They need to refund my transportation fee and money paid towards getting a spare key ($1400 approx). I have contacted Lexus USA to intervene and advise on path going forward. I will not rest until I get some resolution on this case. More
