With the regards to this review, the dealer respectfully sees this transaction much differently than the customer does. When the customer originally ORDERED a New Sequoia at a price that was BELOW the factory invoice, the customer was made aware that Toyota does NOT allow for price protection on sold orders and that the price might change by the time the new Sequoia arrived at the dealership a few months down the road. By the time the new Sequoia arrived, both the MSRP and the corresponding invoice price on the unit had both increased by the approximately $800 the customer is stating. As soon as the vehicle arrived, the customer was alerted to it being here, and given the new pricing structure that would be necessary for the transaction to make financial sense to the dealership given the already below invoice pricing that was discussed at the time of ordering. Lewis Toyota of Hays would welcome the opportunity to work with this customer again, and would be willing to put all of our stated processes on paper so that the customer fully understood who future pricing is subject to change on a Toyota order.
