This was the third Hyundai dealership we visited for our new car. We had to drive pretty far from home to get to Lester Glenn, but it was well worth it. My wife and I went to Lester Glenn in Toms River, NJ to see a new model that came out. The staff there was very nice and accommodating, even having us bring our dog into the showroom and along on the test see a new model that came out. Complimentary popcorn in the showroom, along with a bell-ringing whenever a new car was sold, all added to the fun, inviting atmosphere. All in all, it is a very nice facility with friendly people. The overall experience of getting a car has, as with any dealer, some aspect of pressure and nervous excitement, i.e. "Should we? Shouldn't we? Today? Another day..?" Honestly, we were not expecting to leave with a car that day (we didn't even have our potential trade-in with us). That did not deter the ambitious staff, but hey, that's their job. While insistent and encouraging, we ultimately do not feel that the staff pressured us into getting the car that day. They even told us that the offer(s) made would not be strictly limited to that day, which is a nice, non-pressuring tactic. We were very excited to leave the dealership with a car that day, though we had slight buyer's remorse after leaving. We reflected on why this happened. After a day or two of thinking about it, we ultimately decided that it was not due to the dealership specifically, but rather not going into the experience with a specific monthly price planned out. Had we had established a price point ourselves beforehand, I think the staff at Lester Glenn could have made it happen. They surely seemed accommodating enough. Overall, a good experience. We have had the car a few weeks with no complaints. We even get free oil changes for life from Lester Glenn. That is a great add-on. More
