We liked one vehicle If you are considering buying an auto here, beware of possible BAIT AND SWITCH PRACTICE. We test drove a 2 vehicles one weekend. We liked one vehicle slightly better than the other. We did not make a deal that day, but decided to take more time to search. A few days later, we get an email from a salesman "SKip". This is copied directly from his email: "A few weeks ago you had contacted us about the 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser below. I have been just told by my manager that I need to find a way to get this FJ Cruiser sold to you. What is it going to take to put this deal togehter?" I replied with an offer and he responded with this:(directly quoted/copied from his email: "Would $32,000 on the tan one get the deal done?" So, we decide to stop in there a few days later to take another serious look at the vehicle and very ready to make a purchase. We asked for Skip as he was the one we talked with the first time we came in. (Although neither of us was keen on him because the first time we were in he attempted to negotiate a price at the reception desk, which is very uncomfortable and not confidential.) Skip got the vehicle for us and we again took a test drive, and looked over the vehicle. We went back in, and thankfully SKip took the time to at least take us in his office to discuss a deal. I asked what the best he could do would be. He said, $32,000(which is what his email had said). I asked if he could swing $31,800. He said he would go ask his manager. To our surprise he came back and jacked the price up about $500!!! He lied to our faces and said that his email stated that he would check with his manager on a the $32,000- he never said that as you can see from the entire email quoted above(sans advertising logos, etc) So he gets us in there by baiting us and then changes the price once we get there. These sales tactics are insulting, unprofessional, and a waste of customers time. If this is a personal sales practice by Skip, management should be aware of it and seriously consider how a representative (salesman) becomes the face of the dealership and can greatly compromise the customer's experience as well as future sales. No customer wants to be deceived, lied to, or insulted. Customers can be a company's greatest and worst form of advertising. More

To my surprise I found the perfect match. When I realized that getting it used with 14,000 miles in the 2016 model was going to save me $15,000 I was completely fired up. I called up and spoke with Skip. Within an hour I had driven from Lake Country and I was taking a test drive. Loved the truck. It was exactly as advertised. Purchasing the vehicle was crazy easy. Thank you Lenz auto and Skip for a great truck buying experience. When my wife is due for a new SUV, i know where we will be starting. More

EXCELLENT DEALERSHIP TO DEAL WITH I delt with Zach VanderGrinten. I live in Il and did most of our deal over phone and texting. This was something new to me. Steve the sales manager was extremely helpful, did not pressure me, and even though my trade in had issues, he still gave me what I thought was a fair price. I worked with Sam in the finance dept. and that went just as smooth. I would definitely recommend Lenz to anyone shopping for a new truck. More
No "WOW" factor!! I did get the truck I wanted at a fair price, but my Salesman Steve Svendsen intially didnt act like he wanted to help me find the truck I was looking I did get the truck I wanted at a fair price, but my Salesman Steve Svendsen intially didnt act like he wanted to help me find the truck I was looking for and when i couldn't find it after walking all over the lot, I came back in and he was with a different customer. Another Salesman asked if I needed help and I explained to him I couldnt find this specific truck I had driven over an 1.5 hours to look at, instantly he said "oh its in the back," and took me back to look at it. The finance part was pretty smooth, but because my bank was "closed," they wanted me to come back the next day, which meant me driving another 3 hours to get the deal done. The next day I arrived to find them telling me the bank was still closed that day, but could do everything anyhow. So why couldnt that have been done the night before and saved me near 3 hours on the road? Other than that the Finance dept did a good job finalizing the deal. Maybe I'm spoiled from my other dealerships, but they have always given me something as a "thank you" for purchasing from them...sweatshirts, car cleaning kits, hats, oil changes, gas cards and Steve offered only a handshake. After asking-- he did surface with 2 hats for my sons. Lastly, we left and I got about 3 miles down the road and the fuel light came on, I was less than happy! I returned, had to wait as Steve was with another customer. When he was available, I explained to him the first stop you make after buying a new truck, shouldnt be for gas! He then supplied me with 2 gift cards for gas, which didnt even cover the cost of filling the truck. So as you can read, I wasnt overly wowed with my experience. More

When it came to the purchase price I did not negotiate much on the price, $40. I did ask to purchase a toneau cover at cost and did not receive an honest price. That disappointed me. When spending $37,000 on a vehicle a little token would have gone a long way. Because of this, I am not sure if I would recommend this dealership to anyone else. Trust is huge item! That is the reason for this low rating! More
