Bought a 2006 dodge 2500 5.9l ccummins with a six speed manual from these guys. They were excellent. I had dragged my buddy with me to check out this truck since he's the diesel guy. I asked them if I could take it for a ride, they handed me the keys and off I went with my buddy to check everything out. After being gone for 45 minutes or so, we made it back to the lot. My buddy had come across a couple little issues that he said should be fixed. A dust cover seal from the back side of the transfer case was bad, and the gas pistons to hold the hood up were bad. Other than that the truck checked out perfect. No codes in the engine and drove excellent. I told them about the issues we found and they jumped right on it. I went in to do the financing with Dave, and by the time the financing was done, so we're the boys in the shop. They even left the truck on the lift so my buddy could inspect underneath the truck better. All in all it was an excellent experience. They weren't pushy or over priced. I could not find that same truck cheaper than what they had it at. I would definitely recommend lenz to anyone who's looking to buy a truck. They have very clean trucks at good prices. More
The dealership posts very good descriptions of the trucks they have on the lot. I traveled 250 miles and was a little concerned that what I saw on the web was not what was at the dealership, I was wrong. The they have on the lot. Sam held the truck for me so that I would have time to travel in see it.It was well worth the trip. Sales/finance staff were very helpful, I was in and out of the dealership within 30 minutes of making my decision to purchase. More
Dave was AWESOME!! We went in looking at one specific diesel truck, but quickly learned we could not afford it. Dave quickly suggested another truck on his lot. For a finance guy, he sure knew all the trucks, or mostly all the trucks on the Lenz lot. We live 3 hours away and everyone stayed late to accommodate us. The truck was pulled into the warm garage so we could look it over before the test drive. There was an issue with the check engine light, which the guys in the back (cannot remember their names; maybe Justin and then another) were quickly all over that, trying to figure out why the check engine light was on. We test drove the truck and we knew it was ours. Any issue we had, they took care of. I have to make mention of another gentleman, and again, I do not remember his name, but he is a jeep guy (he told me that); he drove our trade into the shop to get inspected; Very nice, pleasant and respectful gentleman. Pay him well and keep him there. He is a good asset to your company!! Dave, we want to personally thank you for making us feel comfortable and at ease with this whole purchasing process. Contacted Brad regarding vehicle we were interested in. Brought to his attention that the edmunds.com, kbb.com and NADA.com values were significantly lower than listing price. We were assured that they would come down in the price. We had a hard time with Brad as he didn't listen well, he kept asking to send in pre approval for credit even though we stated we didn't want numbers sent to the banks until a purchase price and trade in value were determined. He also scheduled an appointment for a time that did not work for us as we live 5 hours from the dealership and he didn't change it despite 3 emails stating alternate available times. Once at the dealership we noted some concerns about the specific vehicle we were looking at, it was missing engine covers, had very rusty brake lines, a non-functioning power telescoping mirror and the underbody was full of rust. Despite outlining all the negatives and citing the research into the market value of the vehicle they were only willing to drop the price $2,700 which was still $3,000 over book value for excellent condition which it was not in. When we discussed the trade in value, the salesperson agreed to a price, put it down on paperwork etc before coming back and stating they would only give us 50% of the agreed price because "they have been burned" on vehicles with higher mileage before. We refused the trade in offer, and in the end they wanted us to agree to a sale price $5,000 over what the bank valued it at for a loan. And at that point we found out they had dispersed our information to numerous lending places (13 inquiries on our credit for that date despite them stating there were only 4). Their attitudes got worse after the initial hi at the door. Worst dealer service I have ever received. I would not go back to them if you paid me to. I was also hounded to call the owner to discuss the situation after we refused to purchase through them and to remove my negative review! Overall bad experience. More
I bought my old truck new in 1995 - a Dodge Ram 2500 regular cab manual transmission 360 v-8. I drove it way past it's prime in order to send my kids to a good day care. Now that they are all school age, I decided to retire my truck and buy a new one. I will only drive a manual. I found out that Chevy and Ford no longer makes manual transmission trucks and that Dodge was the only one who did now and that manuals were only available in the Dodge if you got the diesel engines. That meant I was going to get a Dodge with a Diesel - never owned a Diesel before. I wanted a 2500 Dodge Ram SRW Crew Cab Long Box Diesel with a manual transmission - turns out that this is a fairly difficult truck to find. I wanted a used one because the new ones were out of my price range - but I wanted a newer one with low miles. I am from Minnesota and I looked at all the local dealer in the Minneapolis area and found nothing. I sent many of them on a quest to find this truck for me - after a year, nothing. I started to wonder if they were actually looking. In fact, many of them were outright condescending when I said I wanted a manual. So, I started searching on autotrader.com for myself and noticed that Lenz always seemed to have a lot of big trucks and felt that there was a good change that they could find my truck. I called and talked to Mike Buhler and he started looking for me. After about 6 months, he found my truck. It was a great price and everything I wanted. So, on Martin Luther King day, I flew to Appleton, rented a car and drove to Fond-u-lac. The truck was exactly as described and exactly what I wanted. My brother is a mechanic and I normally have him look at vehicles with me before I buy them but I couldn't do that this time which made me nervous. I made an appointment with a local mechanic and when I took the truck on my test drive, I had it checked out. He said it was wonderful. No leaks - not any sign of a repair even on it. Break and tires were in great shape and he thought it had been very well taken care of. So, I bought it and drove it home. Mike Buhler was wonderful - he found my truck for me when no one else could. Took tons of pictures for me. He answered all my questions - and there was a lot of them. He even went into the dealership on a Sunday and pulled a car fax report for me so I could look at it before I bought my airline tickets. I had a couple of car salesman friends of mine look into it before I flew out and they said that the price was great and that their dealership wouldn't be able to sell it and the price I paid. The truck was exactly as Mike described it - I really appreciate his honesty and detail in showing me every little flaws so that there would be no surprises when I got out there. Overall the truck was in stellar shape. I got the ST model which is fairly basic. It does have electric windows and doors, air conditioning, integrated trailer breaks, heated power mirrors, transmission cooler, etc... It doesn't have the fancy stereo or the TV's in the headrests or the heated seats and such but then again, this is my truck not my living room. It would be nice to have some of those nifty fancy features but not at the giant price tag that they command. Mike made sure he understood exactly what I wanted and what I was willing to spend and then found it for me. He understood what I was willing to compromise on what was non-negotiable. Never tried pushing something on me that I didn't want just because he had it on his lot either. Mike was an awesome salesman to work with. Thank you! Nik helped me find the perfect loan for me and got me a great rate! I bought the extended warranty and he helped me pick the right one for me. Overall my experience was great. The only negative I could even think of was that if I was dropping $30k+ on a truck, they really should have been willing to pick me up at the airport. The car rental was only $50 and a taxi ride was $100 so no big deal. Besides, with the car rental, had I decided not to buy the car, I would have still had a way home. There were no more flights back to Minneapolis that day and I had to work the next day. Drive home was wonderful. Easy and fun to drive and got great gas mileage. Kind of sad to see the old girl go but this new truck will fit the needs of family much better. With 2 kids and a dog, the regular cab just didn't cut it anymore. Very happy with my purchase. More

We came in to Lenz to look at a 2013 Ford Escape that we were pretty sure was out of our price range. We absolutely loved being able to bring the vehicle back into their warm shop for a thorough inspection on a cold winter night. After spending some time playing with all the fancy electronics, it was easy to justify spending a little more to get something we really liked. We left the dealership feeling well informed about this vehicle. After going home and comparing prices on similar vehicles online, we quickly found the price on the Lenz vehicle to be more than fair. The following day we called Ryan to work out the final details. After discussing some financing options we were able to drive away with a vehicle that exceeded our expectations and was within our price range.
