My Wife and I bought a Tiguan at Leith Volkswagon and were very pleased with the service. They found the color car we wanted with all of the options we were looking for. Mr. Jones was very helpfull and were very pleased with the service. They found the color car we wanted with all of the options we were looking for. Mr. Jones was very helpfull and professional in closing the deal and making it a smooth and quick process. I will refer others to this dealership and will return when the lease on our other car is up! More

I had mentioned very early on that I was just interested in "looking" at cars so I could weigh my options and then make an informed decision. Alan's manager (an old guy, I forget his name now) was very unde in "looking" at cars so I could weigh my options and then make an informed decision. Alan's manager (an old guy, I forget his name now) was very understanding and initially showed a couple of cars. But since he was not the actual sales guy, he asked us to wait so he could find someone who was free to work with us. We waited a good 45 minutes and nobody turned up. The girl at the reception desk had no knowledge of what was going on either. When we inquired with her about the availability of a dealer, or if we should wait, or if we should setup an appointment for a later date and come back, her answer always was "I don't know". She was more like just a dummy placed there. Finally when we were about to head back, Alan came to us. He was very curt and, not at all friendly. That is not what you expect to be treated when you are planning to put down so much money or do business with them. And then on, he started pushing us into buying the car right away, when he was clearly informed that we were "scouting" for options. Since it was about closing time, we even suggested we stop for the day and that we would definitely come back the following day. But he was like, "oh, no don't worry about time, we got plenty!". Despite us making several attempts to escape his pushy demeanor, he persisted. Finally when we openly mentioned, again, that we would think about it, his finance manager walks to us and talks very rudely, and almost literally chucked us out. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. More

Service Manager Rusty Carter and Tina Jastrow, Service Advisor, were both very attentive when I discussed my concerns about the High Pressure Fuel Pump on my Jetta Sportwagen TDI. The Service Tech, Jordan, was very helpful in letting me observe the fuel filter change, and showed me the oil (507.00) he was going to use for the oil change. This was my first visit to Leith VW, and I'll recommend them to my "TDI Buddies", who (like me) are cautious of dealer service departments. More
I have been dealing with Leith since they opened in 2003. I have purchased or leased four cars from them and had those four plus a 5th VW serviced there. The sales experience is like any other dealer with I have purchased or leased four cars from them and had those four plus a 5th VW serviced there. The sales experience is like any other dealer with the back/forth hassle but I expect that - Troy made it less of a hassle and has gone out his way for me each time I've leased a car from him dealing with the company I work for that leases me the cars. Service - yes they try to upsell you. Every dealer does - but Leith is not as aggressive about it like the other local dealer Southern States is. It's up to you as a consumer to know what your car needs and in the defense of Leith they have not tried to tell me I need extra stuff to keep up the warranty - Tina and Rusty the service manager are completely honest with me about this sort of stuff. I tell them to do it by the manual and they do it by the manual. When I have had warranty issues they have really gone to bat with VWoA for me as well...they essentially replaced every soft part of the interior of my Beetle when the sunroof leaked under warranty and a nasty mildew took root in the interior. They gutted the car, replaced the soft parts (except for the leather seat covers themselves) and got it back together with no rattles and at zero charge to me, keeping me in a loaner car for the duration. I bought a Jetta from Leith VW several years ago. Ken Hall was extremely knowledgeable about Jettas and cars in general. He also seemed honest and trustworthy, not a sneaky, shark-like car salesman. B Hall was extremely knowledgeable about Jettas and cars in general. He also seemed honest and trustworthy, not a sneaky, shark-like car salesman. Because of my good experience with Ken, I decided to take my car to Leith VW for the regularly scheduled maintenance. The people in the service department were polite, friendly, and never tried to persuade me to have additional work done on the car. This is unlike my experiences at other dealerships. Later, I traded the Jetta in for another car, which I regretted. So I returned to Leith and asked for Ken. He remembered me and worked patiently to arrive at a deal I could afford. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the wrong time financially for me to buy a car. When I do buy my next car, I'll definitely return to Leith VW and work with Ken. More

I still can't believe I bought an extended warranty though --- man, I must have been in a generous mood. Anyway, great experience, and will tell with the service from the dealership. More
Our experience with Leith VW was fantastic! Our salesperson, Chip Williams, was knowledgable, friendly, and honest. The negotiations were open and reasonable. No "I'll go talk to my manager." Every salesperson, Chip Williams, was knowledgable, friendly, and honest. The negotiations were open and reasonable. No "I'll go talk to my manager." Everything was out in the open and they used an instant messanger to communicate. They valued our time and even helped entertain our three year old daughter. Jay Peters, with financing, was helpful without being pushy. He had great knowledge of our options and got us out of there quickly. OUr new car was cleaned up and ready to go before we knew it, they even sent us home with 2 VW coffee mugs! Overall, we had a great experience. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. We will definitely do business there again! More
If you ask me why I will never buy another VW I will tell you the reason is I do not want to deal with Leith VW in Cary. The list of reasons is long—it goes from telling us we did not have a faulty wheel you the reason is I do not want to deal with Leith VW in Cary. The list of reasons is long—it goes from telling us we did not have a faulty wheel on board of our Tuareg and letting us drive away with a faulty wheel (and our 5 months old baby in the car), to telling us there is nothing they can do to fix a stuck seat belt, and if they could (or want?) it would be very very expensive. To their credit they did offer us a list of people that could fix it for us. Mhhh...how nice! safety devices being fixed somewhere else. I have already filed 2 complaints with VW Corporate and I hope they will do something. My advice to Leith VW: do not sell expensive cars if you can not offer the adequate customer care! Cross the road and see how they work at Audi—you may learn a thing or two! By the way if you want to call VW corporate care and file a complaint the number is: 1-800-822-8987 More
