Easiest Car Purchase Ever I knew I wanted a vehicle that could get me out of my neighborhood when it snowed. Huge hills kept me grounded for three days during the last snow. I knew I wanted a vehicle that could get me out of my neighborhood when it snowed. Huge hills kept me grounded for three days during the last snow. I also knew I wanted a crossover SUV that doesn't look like every other car in the WalMart parking lot. After lots of discussions with other dealers and searching for a used 2016 with low mileage, they either sold before I could see them, got poor reviews on Car and Driver or were way more expensive than I could afford. All were boring! Then, I was passed by a Jeep Renegade on 540. The cute little X tail lights and the bright color sucked me in. I googled it when I got to work. The only "negative" comment I could find was "people keep stopping me to tell me what a cute car it is." Scheduled an appointment to look at a used 2015 Jeep Renegade. When I arrived, I told Daniel (Mike was my first contact and he was in the middle of selling a car to another family, so he set me up with Daniel) that I wanted to trade in my current vehicle and spend about $5000. First, we drove my Mini and talked about what I liked and what I didn't like in that car. Daniel took notes. While we were checking out the Jeeps, they were checking out my Mini for a trade in value. He showed me the 2015 but said he thought he could get me in a 2017 for that kind of money. So on to the new cars. Of course, I wanted RED! They had about 5 to choose from. We found the one that met most of my requirements and took it for a ride. It was a good feeling ride. No tin-can feel. No bounciness I associate with trucks. Very comfortable. No overly complicated techy stuff. Automatic with the option of changing gears. Automatic sun roof that pops out for an afternoon of riding with the top down! The number crunching part of the deal went well. I told them up front what I had to spend. After a few trips back to talk to the man in the box, we were close enough! To save me a trip back to the dealership, Mike followed me home and grabbed the title and let my dog say good-bye to the mini while I cleaned it out. It was a good experience. More
