Eric made this very easy. No hard sell on the car at all. The only exception to this good experience was the time spent by the business manager trying to sell us an extended warranty.. Charlie Bruce took a personal interest in dealing with my wife and I. He wanted to find out what our needs were and fit us to the car that met those needs. I had a mixed experience with the process: The best part was Charlie Bruce, who was the sales person. He was very friendly and always agreed on the price I had in mind for my ridgeline. I had contacted several dealers and I told Charlie the lowest "out the door price" I had received. He even gave me a little discount on the extras that the other dealership had in its vehicle. He answered every question I had while doing the test drive as well as during and after the purchase. An extra-friendly gesture was that he asked his son to pick me up at my house and drive me to the dealership to take posession of the truck. He was the most professional salesman I have encountered. The bad part was that even though I had done extensive research on trucks and prices I was not prepared for the simoniz clear coat offer. The price of the treatment is added to the total price of the truck and included in the monthly payments. The truck is black and the finance manager Jay Tejani said it would reduce the need to wax it. He was very pushy on the sale of the product. I told him I wish I had known about this and done research on the internet. It was past dealership closing time so I agreed to the simoniz treatment to be applied at a future date at the same time the dealership was to put the extras I requested and offered by Charlie. Then I did research on the web and my conclusion was that is not worth it. I called Jay to cancel the treatment 3 days later as I was working the entire weekend and he reluctantly agreed to it but said it would be done as the papers had not left the dealership. When I went to the dealership 8 days after the purchase, Jay Tejani changed the story and told me that the papers were gone and he could not remove the simoniz from the contract and that he was unable to change the finance papers now at the bank. So I got stuck with it. As a consolation he offered a $150 cash back. More
