I gave Chevis a very specific financial situation that would be the only possible way for me to purchase a new Toyota Tundra. Chevis worked to ensure that my criteria was met financially while at the same time making sure I got the vehicle I desired. Once all the purchase was agreed up, Chevis took the time to explain everything about the vehicle to me, and even went so far as to retrieve a garage door opener 2 days later that I had left in my trade-in. Chevis was exceptionally easy to deal with and completely changed my perspective on Toyota dealerships. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new car. More
My wife and I bought a new 2014 FJ Cruiser with standard transmission a few days ago from Bill at Legends Toyota. We loved working with Bill. Toyota announced the end of the FJ with the 2014 model year. It's a shame, and we have been wanting one for 3 years. We volunteer for a hiking trail build/repair association in south MO. We also are avid backcountry backpackers and have been turned off some great adventures because our current vehicle just could not put us where we needed to be. So, we actually needed the capabilitites of this vehicle. Our needs were well researched and very specific. We were prepaired to have to order the vehicle and wait for build/shipment. We had not planned to do this until the end of Q1 2014. My wife and I had sufferred a series of career setbacks a few years back that meant we had to pretty much start from scratch. Our credit rating took a heck of a beating at that time, as we had to live from credit cards with not enough income to cover payments. We also both have student loans that we had no hope of paying at that time. Medical bills added insult to injury. Since then, we have come back strong, but the credit score is still a work in progress. We had projected a good score by end of Q1, having gotten our finances back to healthy about a year and a half ago. The timing of the announcement, and the specific requirements of the vehicle we needed caused us to move before we were completely ready. Not only did Bill find us the vehicle we wanted while it was on a ship in the Pacific, he let me know the day it arrived. From there, it was all about getting the financing taken care of. Bill got it done, with terms that were far better than we expected to get. He was even able to get it direct from Toyota. We were thrilled. On top of that, Bill actually knows a thing or two about off-roading and the aftermarket modifications possible on the FJ. He knows the FJ very well, and can tell you what you would need or not need to use the vehicle to it's potential. If you want an FJ (hurry), Bill is the guy to deal with. We will need to replace our Saturn SC2 soon, and I know who my wife is buying her new Prius from! He was no pressue and friendly all around. When it was time to sign, they had some problems with a computer upgrade that made them much more nervious than it made me. The result was a longer than adverage wait in the showroom while they got the computer up and running. Not the local dealership's fault, as it was pushed down from corporate. But, that is the only reason I did not rate them 5.0 all-around. Thank you, Bill. I can't say enough about this guy. Edit - I decided to up the customer sat value because Bill and Daryl Posey took such good care of us and I don't think the computer glitch should hit thier score. More
Shawn is a very professional and honest salesman. My wife and I are return customers to Legends Toyota because the dealership as a whole, is a very good buying experience. I bought my 2013 Tacoma from Legends Toyota in late July. I have been satisfied with the vehicle itself but incredibly disappointed with the service at Legends Toyota. The first incident occurred a week after my purchase, which included the installation of a hood deflector, tube steps and skid plate. I went for the scheduled install after leaving work(a 2.5 hour drive from Legends) on a Friday afternoon. After waiting almost 2 hours my truck was returned with only the deflector installed. Only after it was returned to me was it explained that there was a lapse in communications and the tube steps and skid plate were never ordered. This resulted in me taking even more time out of my schedule so Legends could remedy a mistake on their behalf. It also put doubts in my mind as to the service my vehicle would receive at this dealership, and today these doubts were most certainly confirmed. When I purchased the truck I also purchased a scheduled maintenance package to supplement ToyotaCare. I brought my truck in this morning for the 5k maintenance. That plan includes full synthetic oil. I did not receive that today. In addition the technician also recorded my mileage incorrectly(5756 documented vs. 5156 actual). This slip-up, in my experiences, is a microcosm of Legends Service Department. Lazy, sloppy and no attention to detail. However, this is not the worst thing to happen during my maintenance. The only issue I brought to there attention when I dropped the truck off was that when the service department took almost 2 hours to install my deflector(6 screws and 6 pieces 3M tape) they incorrectly placed one of the pieces of 3M tape that prevents the metal clip securing the deflector from damaging the paint on the hood. I requested they inspect the area for damage. My suspicions were confirmed by the technician when I got my vehicle back. The clear coat and paint were damaged under the clip. Furthermore, this damage was completely avoidable if the installing technician had found 10 seconds during the 2 hour install to check the placement of the protective tape. Or, maybe he could have remedied this issue as soon as he SAW THAT THE METAL CLIP MADE CONTACT WITH THE PAINT! Why bother? To top it all off, the dealership's remedial action was to fill in the area with a paint pen. Unacceptable. I was then given the remainder of the paint pen with a wink and a smile, as if to say I was being done a favor. This truck was a major investment on my part. It is our 3rd Toyota and I hope it's not our last. But it will be the last vehicle we purchase from Legends Toyota More

I have recommended Legends Toyota of Kansas City, along with it's employees, to my friends. When you walk into their dealership you know you are visiting friendly people interested in providing you with with it's employees, to my friends. I purchased my 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid from Legends Toyota. I drive about 3,500 miles a month in this car. I choose to service my Avalon at their dealership.
