Legendary visit to Legends Toyota When we set out to look at cars we had no intention of buying a Toyota. We stopped by Legends Toyota just to look....so glad we did. Horrible auto buying experience at Legends Toyota I purchased a base vehicle from Legends Toyota and negotiated some extra features as an incentive to buy. I asked for tinted windows, cruise control ( I purchased a base vehicle from Legends Toyota and negotiated some extra features as an incentive to buy. I asked for tinted windows, cruise control (at half price), and keyless entry to be added. There was also some hail damage they said they would repair, since I was not taking any price drop for that. I made the purchase and after the delay and confusion of getting my appointment scheduled, I dropped off my vehicle for these repairs to be started. The next day I was told it was done and I drove out there. The hail damage had not been fixed, there was grease on my interior from the keyless entry installers, and the MOST UPSETTING thing was that the plastic cover that goes over the cruise control stalk had a large, unprofessional cut out that looked as if someone used a box cutter to cut a large, uneven hole for the cruise control stalk to fit through. Anyone would be upset if they saw this damage on their brand new vehicle. I brought this to their attention and was told that if I wanted it to look factory installed I should have sprung for the next model that was $4000 more than my base model. I was so upset. At the time of purchase, they told me it would look factory. I only took their word due to it being a big name dealership. They said they would order another one and try to cut a smaller hole. I continued to question why they cannot order the piece that has the premade hole and dustcover so that it looked factory installed like they promised it would look, which is about $15 for me to order online. I continued to be told “NO”, due to their budget restraints and the outside company that they have do the work. I said I will pick up my truck and try to order my own. I called customer service for a manager to call me regarding my experience. When I picked up my truck they had the professional install piece on it. There was no reason for them to make my buying experience so stressful. I felt so taken advantage of since they had already got me to sign the paperwork and then did this. They must have figured since they already sold me the vehicle they can do whatever they want. I spent almost $24,000 on a brand new vehicle and two of their internet sales people expected me to accept sloppy, unprofessional, damage to my vehicle and thought they could get away with it because I already made the purchase. My next step was going to involve taking legal action and contacting some consumer protection companies. It is not right to take advantage of consumers. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!! More

They were able to get our payments where we needed them. We then worked with the finance man, Daryl Posey. He was very exciting to work with. His enthusiasm was off the chart. He explained everything simply and clearly, and made sure we understood everything we were signing. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone thinking about a vehicle purchase. Bill Cantrell - The Best in the Business I first connected with Bill Cantrell online when I was looking for a Toyota 4Runner. Given that Legends was quite a ways from where I reside, I was re I first connected with Bill Cantrell online when I was looking for a Toyota 4Runner. Given that Legends was quite a ways from where I reside, I was reluctant to work with him since there are several Toyota dealerships much closer. However, Legends has some great inventory of new and used Limited Edition 4Runners. So, I went out there and test drove a few of them and got to know Bill. He was professional and accommodating and an actual joy to spend time with. I truly enjoyed my buying experience with Bill. He listened to my needs and met them. Once I made my decision on the car I wanted to purchase, I requested negotiations occur via email and phone since I don’t have much time nor flexibility in my work week. We went back and forth via email, had a few phone conversations until we reached a fair price. Then I went out on a Saturday morning to actually purchase the vehicle. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase or the service I received. Bill Cantrell is professional, personable, respectful, and accommodating, but all in all he’s a good person who I trusted immediately. He is not your stereotypical car salesman. He is patient and never once pressured me or encouraged me out of my comfort zone. After driving several 4Runners, we both knew when we found the right car for me. It was a complete and total fit. When I’m ready to purchase another car, I know I will work with Bill. He is hands down the best in the business! He was very kind and helpful. Had just what we was looking for in a 2012 and was able to get the financing arranged for us to go there and come home with a van. Even though we owed more on our 2006 than anyone of 6 other places was able to help us with. Aaron and his team at Legends Toyota of Kansas City were very polite and helpful. AND just as excited as were! We didn't give them much advance notice of our being there to thoroughly clean it out but that is ok. Won't take much to get it there.
