Outstanding Service Called Service Advisor Mr. Nick Bross last week concerning questions about a recent service charge re: a sensor being replaced. My Camry is a 2011 but Called Service Advisor Mr. Nick Bross last week concerning questions about a recent service charge re: a sensor being replaced. My Camry is a 2011 but has only 28,400 miles on it. Dash warnings were coming on after a rain but then would go off after driving for awhile. A diagnosis was done 1st week of November and a sensor plus some filters were replaced, bill was over $400. Last week I requested an explanation of exactly what was going on since the on/off pattern of the warning lights due to moisture appeared to indicate a short which I thought might have been caused by the last front end alignment and/or tire rotation. Mr. Bross said he needed to check it out with the technician that did the work and would call me back. Immediately I appreciated him taking the time to do that. He did exactly what he said and explained that the sensor, which sits under the car and plugs into the exhaust approximately under the driver's area, was cracked and he even retrieved the old sensor which was still in the service area.. I do have an extended warranty on this car and he took the time to double-check that as well. I returned to the dealership on 11-21-15 and Mr. Bross said that the sensor part of the bill would be covered which generated a partial refund. He also showed me the cracked sensor taken from the car. After looking at it, his explanation completely made sense from what I was experiencing with the Camry. I work on older cars myself, which consists of some older 70's GM models and when I have a significant bill I like an explanation, although I didn't go into that in detail immediately after the repair on 11-4-15 with the original Service Rep. Mr. Bross did an outstanding job, gave me the old sensor, completely explained the situation and is handling the partial refund. It wasn't just the refund but his entire approach from 1st contact was outstanding. He identified with the question and took the time to give me a straight-forward no BS answer. It just could not have been better, particularly so since he had to do some leg work on a repair that he didn't handle originally. These guys put in quite a few hours too. Best Around! I give "the best around" because I have been going to Legends Toyota before they were Legends. They were Roger Smith and Sons Toyota close to over 8 years ago. Some of the crew followed them when they moved and I did as well. I love Bryan. He is very considerate and thoughtful and will not just give you bull like a lot of other dealers and repair facilities do. They helped get my Toyota over 340K miles before I got a Lexus and I still take it to Legends. I drive from Liberty to the Legends knowing my vehicle is being properly serviced and well taken care of. If it's not right, they will make it right. I went in today to get tires and will continue to go to Legends Toyota as long as I can. More
