Shopped around for an A5 and found legend to be very fair in price. Sales manager Brian Paige was excellent and not pushy. Sales person Charles Gore was great. I did not feel very comfortable purchasing my car from this dealership. They had no customer service and just wanted to empty my pockets and take advantage of the sale without any care of what I was getti this dealership. Simply horrible and the man had no remorse for overcharging me. The only good thing is I love my car atleast I got something good out of it and will NEVER go back. We had one of the easiest, hassle free, and professional car buying experiences from Legend Audi. We had been shopping around for a 2012 Q5. Since they are very hot right now, finding the car we wanted, w car buying experiences from Legend Audi. We had been shopping around for a 2012 Q5. Since they are very hot right now, finding the car we wanted, with the options and color, was very difficult. If we did find the car, other dealers tried to rip us off by selling it at or above MSRP, despite Truecar and other online prices showing much much less than their offers. One dealership told us they had the car, took a deposit and disappeared for a few days, only to come back and tell us they didn't have it but could get us into a car that was $2000 more. Anyway, we called Legend after looking all over the Tri-State area. I initially had reservations about even dealing with Legend because of a bad experience years ago with the VW component. We quickly found out that the dealership had new management led by Brian Paige. Charles was our salesperson, and the entire negotiation was conducted over the phone and email over the course of about 30 minutes. Very very easy. They had the car we wanted, they offered a fair price considering the market for the Q5, and were very thorough in explaining how the transaction would take place and how to structure the deal financially. All the paperwork was emailed to me, and at my leisure at home, I completed it and sent it back. Again, very easy process without any of the back and forth nonsense typically found at other dealerships. None of that "I'll go talk to my manager to get a lower price" game. When we took delivery a few days later, we were very impressed by the thorough walkthrough and explanation of the cars features by Charles. Signing the papers was painless and actually somewhat enjoyable with the personable David. He did the typical routine of offering warranties and accessories, but it was quick and there was no pressure at all to buy. Simple simple simple, with no hassle at all. It literally took under 3 hours when all was said and done to find the car, negotiate the price, handle the initial paperwork, take delivery, ask lots of questions, and sign out the finance agreements and forms. Brian really has transformed this Audi dealership, and made us happy to buy from a Long Island dealer again. All the other Audi dealerships on Long Island are the pits--xxxx to put it mildly. We actually started looking around upstate, in NJ and CT just to get away from the LI Audi dealer games. Legend brought us back. More
Spoke to salesman Mike Paskoff and agreed on a price for a new VW GTI. Went in to pick up the new car and had to sit down with David Johansen the finance guy. He tried to change the price of the car that I had already agreed to with the salesman. When I caught that he said it was a mistake. Then he lied right to my face and told me that the 1.9% financing rate from VW for "A" tier credit was only for 36 months. That for 48 months it was 2.9% and over 48 months was 3.9%. I told him that it clearly stated on the VW website the 1.9% financing was good for up to 60 months. Only after I ripped up the contract and told him I was leaving did he relent and give me the 1.9% rate that was clearly stated no the VW website. He tried to save face and mumbled that the salesman made a mistake about the finance rate and would have to eat the difference. I told him I guess VW must have made a mistake on their website as well. Spoke to the sales mgr Ted Sarnicola about my experience and he said he would striaghten it out and do the right take care of it. That was over 2 weeks ago still waiting for him to get back to me. Also car was supposed to have the protection packag which includes Monster mats. They were missing when I picked up the car, theysaid they would order them. They called me to tell me they came in, went down to pick them up and they were the wrong mats(cheap Golf mats),I told them they weren't the correct mats and they insistedthey were. Had to go home and look up onthe VW website to confirm that they were the wrong mats. Called them and told them to look on th website themselves. They them confirmed they were the wrong mats. These guys make the unscrupulus Car dealers of the 80'S look good. Would never recommend them for a car to anyone. They just continually lie to you about everything More
Very simple and enjoyable process. I dealt with Ed the sales manager and he gave me a great price upfront with no haggling. I would recommend to stay away from this dealership. they show a lack of concern for their costumers. i bought my audi from them and then had a little trouble so i went to another dearler to by a second audi show a lack of concern for their costumers. i bought my audi from them and then had a little trouble so i went to another dearler to by a second audi for my wife. i still kept my service at legend. last year i had to have a new engine put in my car.....no fault of theirs but they did get the business. over the summer i had my 70000 mile check up. its done while im on vacation....close to 3000 dollrs to fix. i make them fix 1600 dollars worth to pass inspection and get the rest done by local mechanic. once return from my vacation i pick up my car and take it hom. four days later i take a trip to cape cod and get stuck on LIE with broken coolent hose. i call audi and tell them i just had car there for check up and they reply the hose has nothing to do with it...cant give me tow and im on my own my warrenty was up in may sorry. dont thet check hoses when uyou bring it in for service and pay hundreds of dollars??? Thats what i call lousy costumer relations! goodbye to legend and to audi. i switched and just got a new mercedes from smithtown....what great people and a wonderful car. More
