Good Buying Experience I have purchased 2 new cars from Lee's Summit Subaru this year. the first one was a Crosstrek in March and a WRX STi in November. On both occasions i I have purchased 2 new cars from Lee's Summit Subaru this year. the first one was a Crosstrek in March and a WRX STi in November. On both occasions i shopped around and did research online to see what is a good price and contacted all the local dealerships around town. On both occasions my salesman, Steve Gove was able to find me the best price as well as the color/trim i asked for for the price i wanted to pay. Having bad experiences with typical car sales people that are super pushy and calls you all day and ask you to put money down for a car. Steve was a very calm, friendly and non pushy sales person. They were also able to give me the best price for my trade in (went to Carmax, another Subaru dealer and LS Subaru). I am a happy customer and any future Honda/Toyota/Subaru purchases i will be going to these guys More
Best Service Ever Terry and everyone else in the service department are knowledgeable, friendly, fast and accurate. I have never been approached about buying extra par Terry and everyone else in the service department are knowledgeable, friendly, fast and accurate. I have never been approached about buying extra parts or services I don't need. They have even helped me install a couple of accessories at no charge. I trust them implicitly and would (and have) recommend them to anyone. Besides, who else will do a free car wash--everyday if you want one. More
Lack of respect If you want to be insulted and judged from the moment you walk into an establishment, please visit Lee's Summit Subaru. I can think of several better If you want to be insulted and judged from the moment you walk into an establishment, please visit Lee's Summit Subaru. I can think of several better places to go to be treated poorly and made felt as though I was inferior than LS Subaru. I would avoid this dealership like the plague! On second thought, I would avoid it worse than the plague! More
Horrible dealership, horrible management. I found a crack in my bumper the very next day after purchasing a new 2014 Subaru. They blamed it on ME even though it had blue material stuck in the crack from THEI in my bumper the very next day after purchasing a new 2014 Subaru. This business is deceitful and manipulative. They lied to my husband about the price he would be charged for an additional service to our Impreza, and did an incomplete job changing our transmission fluid, d my husband about the price he would be charged for an additional service to our Impreza, and did an incomplete job changing our transmission fluid, despite our request. We will never do business here again and will be warning everyone we know of their dishonest business practices and general lack of integrity. We expected to pay more for service at a dealership, but we did not expect to be lied to, to our faces. This type of behavior is just unacceptable; hopefully the internet age can help prevent it from happening to others. There are other service departments who would never act this way - don't give your money to crooks! More
Bought my first new car in 1986 - it's still being driven by a family member. The vehicle was everything I wanted at the time but the buying process was not great. Fast forward to 2013, my experienc driven by a family member. The vehicle was everything I wanted at the time but the buying process was not great. Fast forward to 2013, my experience with Lee's Summit Subaru has been great from first visit, where all questions were answered, til delivery of my Subaru a couple of weeks ago. The Sales Rep who inspired my confidence from the outset was Tim Stillings. The test drive we took in June in a 2013 was enough to let me know this was the model for me. As I wanted a 2014, I had a few months to wait. He answered every subsequent query I had regarding the company, the vehicle, options, accessories, service, etc. He assisted me in ordering the perfect ride for my life style. Greg, the Sales Manager, phoned to make himself available for any needs that might arise. Courtney greeted me when I stopped by once with yet another question and she was the one who graciously fascilitated delivery of my vehicle when Tim was out and did not want me to wait. Travis explained all options for extra coverage that interested me, all very low-key and no pressure. Terry in Service got me in right away for purchased options to be done, where Nate and John were very helpful. And free washes from now on. I know I received good value for my dollars, I love driving my XV Crosstrek and look forward to continued service from the wonderful team assembled at Lee's Summit Subaru! More
I had a terrible experience at the Lee's Summit Subaru dealership last night working with Patrick Sweeney and his co-worker. My test drive was great and our exchange started off good but things we Subaru dealership last night working with Patrick Sweeney and his co-worker. My test drive was great and our exchange started off good but things went downhill fast when I asked for a written car price. He and his co-worker said they couldn't give a price unless I was buying a car that day. How is a consumer to shop for the best price if a dealership is not willing to give a firm price? At one point, I was smiling with a confused look when Patrick said "what are you smiling about?” I replied “I can't believe a dealership can’t give me a firm written price on a car.” I then said I think I need to go because this is getting very frustrating and he replied “YOU SURE DO.” It’s at that point I asked him for a business card which he refused to give me but verbally told me his name. During our exchange, Patrick even accused me of trying to tell him how to run his business when all I wanted was a price! Very unprofessional - I will NEVER buy a vehicle from that dealership. More
I had a very bad experience with Patrick at Lee Summit Subaru. The dealership itself was clean and well stocked. Patrick and I discussed a price preliminarily over the phone on Friday (6/21) but didn’t Subaru. The dealership itself was clean and well stocked. Patrick and I discussed a price preliminarily over the phone on Friday (6/21) but didn’t finalize anything, and I really wasn’t interested at the price he was offering. I told him I was going out of town on Monday morning and wouldn’t be able to take any calls until the following Thursday or Friday (6/27-28) Monday (6/24) morning Patrick calls me, leaves a voicemail, as I was unable to answer, and asks if I can come by and pick up the car. I did not get a chance to call him back, and he proceeds to call me again the following morning and ask the same questions over voicemail. Later Tuesday evening, my wife informs me that someone from a car dealer called her place of work, asking the receptionist for my wife, and telling the receptionist it is an urgent personal financial issue with my wife and I, and our failure to pick up the car we purchased. My wife is a public CPA, and her cases, and professional work is confidential, so someone calling her office asking for her, and saying she is in financial trouble is a serious issue for her. When my wife informs me of this, she is upset that I gave the car dealer her offices main phone number. Thinking on this, I didn’t give Patrick her offices number, infact the only number I gave him was my cellphone. However our credit application contained the name of both my Wife’s and My employer, and my wife’s business’ office number is listed on their websites for clients to call. So with this, Patrick must have used our credit application to research my wife’s place of work and call her to harass her about the car. I find this to be very unprofessional, and against our privacy when filling out a credit application. My wife is still under pressure from her supervisor for a personal phone call on their main client number. I refused to purchase this vehicle strictly because of Patrick behavior. I would not recommend this dealer. More
We've been snubbed three times now (even though we're fully financed) at this dealership. Originally we went in to get our current Subaru serviced, and they were completely inept as to what we were we're fully financed) at this dealership. Originally we went in to get our current Subaru serviced, and they were completely inept as to what we were looking for and whether they had it in stock (despite us BRINGING IN the part number!). Later, now that I'm looking to buy my Subaru, we walked in and told the receptionist that we wanted to look at the specific vehicle. 15 minutes later, and the sales rep in the building is still standing around looking at the ceiling. Very poor customer service. Before having a Subaru (when we were looking for my husband's car), we went there looking for the model we wanted, never got any attention. I'm never going back to Lee's Summit Subaru. Van Subaru and Olathe Subaru may be quite a drive from Lee's Summit, but at least they aren't jerks! More
The sales manager was extremely rude. Rather than counter our initial offer, he just started yelling at us, saying all we cared about was money. We were looking at a 2011 Outback which was a dealer counter our initial offer, he just started yelling at us, saying all we cared about was money. We were looking at a 2011 Outback which was a dealer demo and had 4,000 miles on it, and he was still trying to sell it to us over invoice. We bought our new Outback from a different dealer later the same day and love it. More
