I found the salesman to not know his product. I bought a 2010 Highlander, and he could not explain what were the options that came w/the car, or in some instances, could not explain how to set them up. Their excuse for this fee was that I had negotiated a good price for the car and they wanted to pad their profit. Would I buy another car from the dealer: yes, but buyers need to be aware of these things. More

Additionally, I was assured that the $500 deposit that I placed, on a truck that never arrived, was completely refundable. Two weeks later, the $500 has been charged to our credit card and has not been refunded, forcing me to contact our credit card company to contest the charge. We purchased a new Honda Pilot from a Lee dealership last year and were pleased with our experience. However, after this latest experience, we will never give a Lee dealership our business again. More

William was very helpful and check on everything we had questions about or needed. I had been in an accident and dreaded shopping for a new car, as I had planned to keep the car I had for many more years. I was actually feeling sick to my stomach as we approached the dealership knowing w car, as I had planned to keep the car I had for many more years. I was actually feeling sick to my stomach as we approached the dealership knowing what I had been through in the past with other dealers and salesman. I was ready to leave at any moment that I didn't feel comfortable. The second William approached me and my friend on the lot, I felt comfortable. We had planned to go to several dealerships that day, but ended up staying with William. He was never pushy, he was friendly, and non-intimidating. I would go back to him again and for the first time in my life would actually recommend that my friends and family do the same if they needed to shop for a car. It ended up being a great day, and I really felt like I got a fair deal and great service. I hope you are sure to thank William again for me. He turned what I expected to be a horrible experience into a good one. More
I (we) had just begun our intended slow assessment (recovering from illness and had been out of the new car market for a decade)of mid-sized, high MPG sedans to replace our 2000LHS Chrysler that still (recovering from illness and had been out of the new car market for a decade)of mid-sized, high MPG sedans to replace our 2000LHS Chrysler that still averaged over 25mpg and had a terrific big car ride. But at 196,200 miles it had to go. Consumer Reports and Motor Trend's 7 Family Car Shootout article narrowed our search to some of those. The previous few days we had dropped in at three of the dealerships to just look and sit in a few display models -- no test drives or exchanges of substance with sales personel. After lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant, we crossed the street to Lee Toyota to finally enter a building we had been looking at over lunch for years. The contrast with the three previous auto dealerships was profound. A charming lady warmly greeted us holding the entry door as we came in from the drizzle. The place was jammed with people -- staff and customers, and there was a buzz of energy where the others had been empty and flat. We were quickly ushered to Joe Day's work station and offered refreshment to relax while Joe cared for other customers (who probably all had appointments). Later began a relaxed, quiet discussion that rapidly narrowed our choice to the Camry Hybrid, which had been Motor Trend's #1 in the Shootout. We took the offer for a test drive. The long quiet ride was terrific and roomier than we expected, and the top of the line 4CY model with leather, as in our LHS, was compelling. Returning back, Joe's comupter search of New England for a 2010 model in a color we would accept wasn't going well because the 2011 models were in and the 2010 inventory shrinking. I offered to deal on the beautiful silver model we had just driven, but was disappointed at the price offered for a demo. Asked to name the price it would take to make a deal, I countered with an honest assessment. The re-counter to mine was close enough to make a deal. It took a while: we were the last in line for six simultaneous sale closings. But always, with Joe throughout and Mike at the closing paperwork, we received calm, courteous and knowledgable professional attention. On his busy Saturday the next day, Joe took infinite care to explain every detail of the controls, new (to us) hybrid metering and the many exta features of the top end model we didn't expect to buy. We drove away with more car than we thought we could afford (the 0 - 60 financing was a deal maker), far sooner in the process than we thought it would take, acheiving better MPG than we thought we could get with that roomy sized vehicle (40.2 MPG on the 48 mile drive home). Joe Day and Lee Toyota made what had been up to then a dreary process fun, quick and very satisfying. More

Having a years experience with dealers service department since relocating to this area and considering the purchase of a new Toyota(our 6th.)we went to the dealer to and was viewing their inventory,when we since relocating to this area and considering the purchase of a new Toyota(our 6th.)we went to the dealer to and was viewing their inventory,when we were approached by Mr.Day(salesman).After discussing our needs with Mr.Day and learning the mechanics of how all-wheel drive functions from him we decided to give it consideration.The following day we received a call advising us that the vechicle were interested in had been located.In my 54 years of purchasing a considerable number of vechicles I never experienced better service or detailed information about my purchase.I would hesitate recomending Mr.Day or the dealership. I was shown a car which met my requests for over 30 mpg and cargo space that I could drive to church and garden club but also carry bid dogs and straw bales. Letting me take it home to show my husband and to have the driving experience was great. The price was a bit of an issue but William worked it out quietly and confidently. We did not feel handled but rather I think felt in partnership with the sales persons in a satisfying deal. I am happy with the car. I have had a conversation with a good friend from Wiscasset who has exactly the same car and she is enthusiastic about the car, the integrity of Lee Toyota and sharing 'tips'.
