11 Mazdas and counting. Love these people. I've been dealing with U Mazda since 1981. They aren't the closest dealer, but they are the best in my view. Being the oldest Mazda dealer in the coun I've been dealing with U Mazda since 1981. They aren't the closest dealer, but they are the best in my view. Being the oldest Mazda dealer in the country, They seem to do the way some dealers used to be. old school: They have been owned by the same family since the beginning and not part of some "empire" like Autonation. They are personable, professional and allow people to choose a new or used car in a more friendly environment that the all-too-typical "Today's the day" dealer and most of the staff has been there for years. They back it up with very professional service and parts departments. Consider they are one of the only Mazda dealers to be awarded the President's Award (I think that's what it's called) They may in fact be the only local dealer to do so year after year. It's awarded for best customer satisfaction. I recently took delivery of my 4th Mazda 3 (our family has bought over 12 new Mazdas there). I love this place. (Sometimes I'll stop by just for the free coffee...) If I sound like a shill for Umazda, Please be advised I have owned over 60 cars so have visited probably every car dealer in the Seattle/Tacoma area. I currently also own a Corvette which I've had since new. I had a more frustrating time giving the Chevy dealer $80K than I've ever experienced with UMazda buying cars costing a third as much. More

For those who have dealt with o Since 2007 I have leased 3 new vehicles and picked up the purchase option on one of them, which I financed with them. For those who have dealt with other car dealerships, these guys are very low key, which I think may have been the cause of some of the lower reviews. If you are excited about the hunt of buying a car and enjoy the Turkish Bazaar back and forth you get at some dealers, you probably will be disappointed by University Mazda. I have always dealt with a manager or senior salesman. I recommend going that route. I have interacted with some of their regular sale people when picking up or trading in a car and that is where there can be some inconsistency. hey are also a very small dealership and don't have a huge inventory, so I recommend emailing or calling ahead to see if they have a car in stock that will work. On one occasion, they did not have the car I wanted, but were able to get it from another dealer quickly and were very accommodating. So they are not perfect, but given this is not a luxury dealership, I think they are well above average. Their financing department and vehicle delivery process is top notch. I've sat at some local dealerships for hours while we close the paperwork and they prep the vehicle. Once the terms have been negotiated, I have been in and out of University Mazda in about an hour each time. More

Great price, gas mileage, and fulfill exactly my needs. I was not sure which dealer to pick so I decided to check different ones. My experience varied between mediocre to average till I visited this dealership. First I checked the inventory over the web and found the car with the right price tag. It was hundreds of dollars less than the best deal I got so far. I couldn't believe it. I called the dealer and it happened over the phone. Anthony Wilson picked my call. He was nice, smart, and to the point. He honored the price and assured me the car color, features, and the great deal. I was excited so I visited the place on the same day. He showed me the car, explained to me the contract, and showed me different options. He was very considerate, good listener, not pushing in any direction. I really liked how he came up with a contract details that matched my needs. He stayed away from different dealers' processes to trick the client. With all that, It was very appealing to go on with the deal. We went through financing. Here I met Winnie Lam. Another cheerful & genius person who knows how to use, explain, and play with numbers. Usually, it's the boring part of the process, but with Winnie it was more than fun. She explained the contract in thorough details. She explained next steps, what I should expect from Mazda and what they expect from me. We signed all paper work. There were some additional offers with incentives. She explained them. When I decided to pass the offers for today, she respected that and moved on with the rest of the paper work. Now I'm back to Anthony. He escorted me to my dream car, handed over the keys, and encouraged me to contact him for any questions or concerns. We shacked hands and I drove my car home very thankful for him making my day after many weeks of search for the right car and the right dealership. I'm really pleased with my experience with University Mazda leadership. More

Went to test drive and buy a new car. The salesman acted like I was a tire kicker. Was super disinterested in selling me a car. Gave me a quote greater than MSRP , left me sitting there for a while before I like I was a tire kicker. Was super disinterested in selling me a car. I have just bought my second used car from University Mazda and it is outstanding! As a shopper there is a chance for any dealer to get my business in the Puget Sound area. The difference is the quality Mazda and it is outstanding! As a shopper there is a chance for any dealer to get my business in the Puget Sound area. The difference is the quality of the used vehicles they keep on the lot at University Mazda and the professionals that are there to help you. My salesperson Will Crane was wonderful to work with and made me feel right at home. There are no high pressure tactics here; no bait and switch, it’s a friendly dealership to be in because the employees are relaxed and happy to help in any way. Ask for Will when you arrive and you will get to meet a great guy that will take care of you and your family. More
A pleasant, fair and no-nonsense sales experience. The model I wanted was scarce at the time and so all other Mazda dealers were charging a premium markup. University Mazda was the only dealership I foun model I wanted was scarce at the time and so all other Mazda dealers were charging a premium markup. University Mazda was the only dealership I found that made a point not to add a mark-up. Frank was great. I waited until the scarcity ended and was able to negotiate a fair price. The transaction was straight-forward with good followup, no questionnable or heavy-handed sales tactics, no pressure and no hassle. All was as agreed. More
I started taking my Mazda3 to U-Mazda after Pinnacle Mazda closed. I had tried going to Walker's Renton Mazda for service, but those guys are disorganized and unprofessional. Jeff and the other garage Mazda closed. I had tried going to Walker's Renton Mazda for service, but those guys are disorganized and unprofessional. Jeff and the other garage guys are super cool. They know me by name and will chat with me about car stuff. Their service is always quick. They treat me with respect even when I'm being a difficult customer. The free loaner car service is highly appreciated. These guys are so superieor that I drive about 20 miles all the way from Tukwila to get my oil changed rather than go to Walker's, which is right down the street. Thanks, U-Mazda. More
This experience was the best of any dealership that I visited. Of course it is important to me that the car is the right car, which it was (a Mazda3 S-Touring 5-dr Hatchback). But almost equally import visited. Of course it is important to me that the car is the right car, which it was (a Mazda3 S-Touring 5-dr Hatchback). But almost equally important is how enjoyable the process is when shopping. Frank made this a painless experience. No hassles. No escorting on test drives. No trickery. It helps that I am on a corporate pricing plan, I am sure. But I visited other dealers that had supposed corporate rates, and they did not treat me as well. I highly recommend the dealership. Everyone there whom I met was friendly, and they didn't waste my time in any way. They were also highly knowledgeable about their cars, as well as the competition. More
I had visited several dealers in the seattle area for buying a Mazda and found University Mazda guys to be the most friendly people to deal with. The sales people are not pushy like other dealers. They a buying a Mazda and found University Mazda guys to be the most friendly people to deal with. The sales people are not pushy like other dealers. They also do not play any number tricks (some dealers i visited would write some numbers and show faulty math on paper to make the huge sale price look less). Neither do they try to sell unnecessarry addons. The dealership is also proactive and provides everything before you can request. More
