coercion and deceptive strong arm tactics recently, I talked to Dustin about purchasing a car at Lee auto. my credit has been impacted due to a separation, and therefore I was expecting to pay recently, I talked to Dustin about purchasing a car at Lee auto. my credit has been impacted due to a separation, and therefore I was expecting to pay more in interest. Dustin, however was not forthcoming with the price and tried to push me into a car loan that it did not make sense. At first, Dustin would not tell me the price but would only tell me the monthly payment. common sense will tell you that to have a monthly payment, you have to have a purchase price in mind. I talked to Dustin about this, & I was quoted twice the listed price on Kelley Blue Book for a 2007 Chevy Impala. when I tried to negotiate the price, I was told that because of my credit score I was priced higher on the purchase price of the vehicle. Essentially, they were discriminating against me based on my credit with the purchase price of the car. Typically, with most dealerships, with poor credit you pay more in interest with the financing company. The purchase price of the car remains the same. in this case, Dustin was trying to finance the car through the in the house bank who decided to increase the purchase price of the car. I was told that these terms are non-negotiable. This was the only car they were willing to sell me. And that it was the best car at the best place I would find anywhere else. I obviously did not buy it. I would not recommend purchasing any vehicle from Dustin. The language Dustin used it was extremely abusive, and was absolutely rude. poor credit does not mean that you get screwed by the dealership. It does mean that you do have to look out for people like Dustin who will try to take advantage of you. Be careful - be smart - shop around. More
