Shocked by everyone’s quality review. Seeing the 5's makes me think I am being Punk'ed. Where to begin? My 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara's lease was up so I was weighing my options. I have a friend who work makes me think I am being Punk'ed. Where to begin? My 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara's lease was up so I was weighing my options. I have a friend who works at Mirak in Arlington that was helping me find a used SUV in my price range. He did so much work and found one that was perfect for me. But I have always been a Jeep person. I have dealt with Grava Jeep in Medford in the past and they were FANTASTIC. I really wish I stopped by them instead of Lawless. I should have been loyal to those who treated me well. But, I went to Lawless instead since its half a mile from my house. I had seen a promotion from Quirk in Braintree to lease a 2011 Jeep Liberty that fit my budget. I figured I would go stop by Lawless and see if they would match it. I mean, why drive 40 minutes out of the way? I will say everyone there WAS friendly. But keep in mind the past tense. Everything seemed to be on the up and up when I left that Wednesday night. I made what I believed a sound decision given my research the weeks prior. I would lease at the same rate it would have been to buy a used 2009 Ford Escape. My payments would be $272 with $0 down and a buyout of $11,450. I figured for a new Jeep? Perfect. I gave them my card for $500 to HOLD the Jeep. Mind you it was $0 down (with my Jeep loyalty rebates). We agreed that this was the payments and the buyout - SHOOK HANDS. The following night I go in to finish the paperwork. Low and behold they add $7/month to my payments and like magic the buyout is near $15,000. After an adequate amount of complaining I got my payments back to $272 - but the buyout was non negotiable. The buyout is what intrigued me the most. So I consider this a LOSING situation. But what was I to do? They stung me along to out beat their competition as I told them I was no longer interested in the Ford I was looking at (which sold that day). You don’t have to out run the bear - just out run the person. So ok, I left with a sour taste in my mouth of feeling scammed. Whatever, 3 years and I’m out I thought. I’ll start over then. I mean after all, the Jeep IS really nice. But we're not basing this rating on the quality of the automobile. So I go in - Friday - to pick up the Jeep and yet again sign NEW paperwork. I was told that since the leasing company has changed I would require a new plate. I was also told they would cancel my old ones for me. Great. I was told Monday it would be done. Following Monday: I follow up to make sure my plates were cancelled. I mean if they are not I have 2 automobiles under my coverage accruing money as well as excise tax. I was also curious as to when my $500 hold would be released back to me. Left a Voicemail and Email with Bill. No response. Tuesday: Contacted Chris via e-mail. Mentioning the same as above. No response. (later found out he would be going on vacation) but on the following day Wednesday. Wednesday: Called Bill, he actually spoke to me! But didn't have the information I needed. He didn't know. He said he would let me know Friday. Guess what? It's Friday as I am writing this and they close in about an hour. Thursday: I e-mail Dave at 8:25 AM. Informed him of all the above. I just want answers! Was it cancelled? Will my money be released? 12:30 Rolls around no response from Dave, I try Andy, since he was SOMEWHAT familiar with my situation. I thought maybe he could at least point me into the direction. Nothing - no call - no email. Mind you he was working and on duty AND is the INTERNET sales guy. Email would work? right? Thursday 4:00 rolls around and I try calling again. I just asked for anyone who can help me, someone with answers. Cause no one has any. I get Dave's voicemail. I leave a 4 minute rant - somewhat stating all the above here. I just asked for someone to talk to me. Someone to give me an update. Has anything been done? Have I been forgotten? Email me, Call me, Smoke signals, ANYTHING? I have 2 simple questions. Did you cancel the plates like you said you would? What is the status of the $500 hold? It's been over a week. Friday: right now. Present time. Bill never called. Dave never called. Andy and Dave never replied to e-mail. I call about 30 minutes ago? how convenient, Dave's not there today? Bill? Where's Bill? He said he would call? The friendly person who answered the phone said a manager would call me? Does no one have time to address a buyers concern POST - sale? I have had THE hardest time getting a hold of ANYONE who would have answers for me. I wasn't aggressive in any of my initial contacts at the beginning of the week. I was simply just trying to get status updates. Come Thursday afternoon? Yeah I’m mad. How on EARTH does a place like this treat their clientele so poorly? How can they SO MANY TIMES say one thing and do another?! how can they keep a stranglehold on someone’s money that was simply a HOLD. It was never assumed to be part of the reduction of the final price and should not be. It was $0 down and simply a hold on the Jeep sp it would not be shown. Do they hope people FORGET about it? Sorry $500 is quite a bit of money toward my monthly bills thanks. I have NEVER been treated with so many lies and disrespect by a company im giving MY money to. 1) Buyers Remorse on the 2011 Jeep liberty. It's a nice vehicle but this process of the past 2 weeks was not worth it. I wish I went with the Ford. 2) I have been a loyal Jeep owner (2 prior Wranglers) for over 10 years. This is the FIRST time I can feel indifferent toward JEEP. And that’s not fair since its not the makers fault. 3) I should have been loyal to Grava of Medford. Anyone reading this - go there! they are 5 Star in my book. 4) If a Jeep is not what you want - check out Mirak of Arlington - Hyndai and Chevrolet. Ask for Jon Buck. He helped me SOOO much when I was looking for a used SUV to take place of my former 2008 Wrangler lease. He had one lined up for me, one he found on his own, that he would not even make a commission on. god help me for thinking other dealerships would be straight shooters like the folks there. All in all this has been a HORRIBLE process. I STILL dont have answers. they STILL wont call me back or email or anything. xxxx if you forgot to cancel the plates, whatever that’s fine - MAN UP to it. And i KNOW they forgot to. Why? cause my insurance company JUST called me to tell me. No lie, 3:45, right now - got the call. This can ONLY lead me to believe they have NO intention funding me back the $500. More

I was not happy with how I was told I had to sign a purchase and sale agreement before I would be allowed to see my financing options. This information came from the sales manager. However, it worked out in the end when the person in charge of the financing gave my information to the bank and was able to find the interest rate I was comfortable with. I am very happy with my Liberty and would see Amani again, or another Lawless sales person, in the future when I am ready for a new Jeep! More
I have been leasing Jeeps for the past fifteen years and the worst part of it has been dealing with the back and forth in the salesperson's office. This time I tried everything on line and dealt with Daine the worst part of it has been dealing with the back and forth in the salesperson's office. This time I tried everything on line and dealt with Dainelle initially and I can't say enough about her follow through and basically getting me into our new 2011 Grand Cherokee. Phil was given the deal after to find the Jeep and finalize this deal and did a great job with only one flaw. He keep me waiting for four hours in the showroom to appraise my 2008 we were trading in and to baiscally get the paperwork in order, not good! However, he did find a Jeep which met our expectations and got us the deal we wanted. He also personally delivered our new Jeep and picked our trade in up and took care of all the Registry running around with the new and old registrations. This saved us time and money. Greatly appreciated and will give them another shot when the time comes. I have had bad experiences with lies, deception, and attempts to sell me a Jeep that doesn't even exist. Lawless was straight forward. Give them a shot if you are in the market for a new vehicle and ask for either Danielle Gagnon or Phil Ossino. More
