We have purchased/leased MANY vehicles from car dealerships in our 62 years of life and this experience is right at the top of that long list. We knew nothing about the dealership eventhough it is about a 30 minute drive from our home in Canfield. We usually shop for a vehicle in a number of ways: onsite visits, online, magazines, etc. We prefer online or internet as we become more serious about our purchase/lease. Online/internet "shopping" also gives us a chance to review the dealership inventory. We realize that a dealership can "hunt" for a vehicle of our choice but we would rather go directly to the dealership who currently has the model. We have sat through way too many transactions over the years where it is often painful and time consuming negotiating over a price. We do enough internet research to realize where we want to be with regard to the purchase price. So, we believe we come to the table educated, willing and ready to transact. We have found that "requesting a quote" via the internet is a productive manner in which to begin transacting. It soon becomes rather obvious the quality of the professionals one is dealing with. This is where Dave Sherman enters the picture on our recent transaction. I put out a request for a quote to only two dealerships this time (usually I may have a need to request similar pricing from 4 or 5). Dave was VERY quick and responsive to our request. I had presented several questions asking for information. Dave was thorough and presented the information not only in a timely manner but concise, accurate and easy to understand. We continued to "negotiate" and review our options via emails until I felt it was time to make a phone call. At the same time, I was attempting to get similar information from another sales consultant at another dealership. The sales consultant was not very forthcoming and did not communicate the information clearly, completely and easy to understand. Each dealership had at least one or two vehicles that we would have considered. After some prodding, the other dealership was finally willing to present some figures and a cloudly explanation as to how they arrived at the "bottom line". We met Dave for the first time on a Saturday morning and within 2 hours we were not only sold on the vehicle of our choice but also the dealership and Dave especially. Each question presented to Dave was answered immediately and much to our pleasure. What we saw as obstacles, Dave saw as a challenge that could be conquered to our satisfaction. I highly recommend Dave Sherman to anyone in search of a new or used vehicle. We had no prior knowledge or relationship with Dave but he is a young man that we will return to in the future. A few days later, we arrived to pick up our new vehicle. Dave had been ill and missed work for two days but made a point to be there late that afternoon to "deliver" the vehicle. He personally introduced us to various members of the staff and they ALL made us feel welcomed and "part of the family". We look forward to having the vehicle serviced in their service department and getting to know more of the staff. We want to thank Dave and the staff at Lavery for a wonderful car buying experience!!! More
I had been looking for a used luxury car with low mileage. I found a car that met my search on the internet on Lavery’s website. Drove to Alliance and met Dave on the Lavery lot. Dave showed me the car and went over the car and all the features it had and then we took a test drive. What impressed me most was the knowledge Dave had about vehicles and as he said “he would arm me with the knowledge to make an informed decision. Dave also listened to what features were most important to me in the purchase of our next car. There was no high-pressure sales tactics and Dave made the buying of this car a pleasant experience. When it comes to the purchase of our next car, I will go back to Dave Sherman. We love our 2013 Cadillac XST. More
I recently purchased a 2013 Cadillac CTS from Lavery and the overall experience was excellent. My salesman Todd Bollman was just amazing, he did all the pre-work so onced a arrived it was easy to complete t the overall experience was excellent. Todd went out of his way to ensure that the buying experience was quick and smooth. In addition he spent extra time making sure that we had a base level understanding of the CUE system. I was doing an internet search for a Buick Encore. I submitted my request through the website to inquire about the pricing of a vehicle in stock. Mr Sherman, Lavery new car sales manager, responded imme submitted my request through the website to inquire about the pricing of a vehicle in stock. Mr Sherman, Lavery new car sales manager, responded immediately to my inquiry. We spoke about several cars that I saw in their inventory. We talked about the kind of vehicle with the type of options that I would like. Mr Sherman informed me that he was NOT a commission sales person and that he would work diligently for me to get me the type of vehicle and the BEST price available. After several conversations and exchanges of emails, we had a Buick Encore selected with the options that we wanted. Mr Sherman then started to put our financial package together. Surprisingly, to both of us his original sticker price was close to $150 difference from the GMS price that I was eligible and had not applied for yet. After securing the GMS price ,Mr Sherman was able to put together my other discounts to give me the financed price of the vehicle. That price wasn't where I wanted to be as far as payments. Mr Robb then took over and was able to make a few additional adjustments and wham , bam thank you Lavery Chevy we will be driving a new 2014 Encore. My experience in dealing with the dealership was very rewarding and very accommodating. I also checked with three other local Chevy/Buick dealerships through the internet and none of them responded in a timely manner to inquire even as to where I was in the search. Needless to say if and when they do contact me, I will be reporting that I am driving a new 2014 Buick Encore that I acquired through the special staff from Lavery Chevy!! thanks again to Mr Dave Sherman and to Scot Robb More
This was quite a drive but totally worth it!!! The price of my vehicle was great & so was Mark! We drove 4 hours so this was a whole day ordeal. I was actually dealing with a dealer in my home town & with Mark. The sales guy here in my town was just awful! I pretty much had to hound him & couldn't get him to answer any of my questions. Dealing with Mark was the complete opposite. We would text back & forth & if I had a question he would answer it right away. If you don't prefer texting (like I do) I'm sure he'd communicate any way you would like. He's very nice & wants to make things easy for you & he's not pushy at all like some salesman can be. He sent me a personalized video of the vehicle I was interested in to show me any imperfections it might've had just so there would be no surprises. I highly recommend this dealership & I highly recommend Mark Eberling!! More
Amy Wolf was fantastic. First by the online service then by phone. I was so confident that from just talking with her, I felt very comfortable driving from Charlotte, NC to Alliance, OH, to purchase the car by phone. When I arrived with my wife, we were both very impressed with all the employees we met. Including Becky Labate the finance administrator and Jim Teal the sales manager. Both Sarah and Amy seem to be terrific women. They both was there to answer any questions I had, even if after work hours. If they didnt know the answer they found out within a timely manner. I came to them with the intent of making a purchase within a month in order to have quality transportation available to me upon my return from overseas. I began working with the Lavery team in November after identifying a used vehicle thay had for sale via autotrader.com. My Sales Rep Mr. Todd Bollmann did an outstanding job. The vehicle was already competetively priced , and was a Manufacturer Buyback that had been repaired. Mr. Bollmann took the time during our negotiations to prvide as much information possible on the vehicle's history. His responses to my inquiries were timely, accurate, and to the point. This was extrememly important given the limit time I had to make the purchase, and even less time I had to spend negotiating and arranging the purchase due my current environment. Once the purchase was made, the Lavery team worked hand in hand with United Road (Vehicle Shipping), bank (USAA), and my attorney-in-fact (father) to have all required paperwork completed, and the vehicle shipped so that it is waiting for me when I get off the plane back in the U.S.A. Ms. Amy Wolf, and the entire staff were extremely polite and considerate. I was always directed to the proper people during our brief conversations; and when one could not help, another was readily available to answer the question or provide direction.
