Unfortunately, the work quality and standards of other departments at Sandia Toyota are questionable and leave much to be desired. During the test drive and purchase process I asked if the driver and pa departments at Sandia Toyota are questionable and leave much to be desired. During the test drive and purchase process I asked if the driver and passenger side windows were too dark according to New Mexico law. I was told that the tint was within the legal standard. On 14 Jan 2025, I took my vehicle to Lomas Glass and Tint, they tested the driver’s windows with a Pocket Detective/2.1 Window Tint Meter. Upon inspection the drivers and passenger windows tint exceeded the New Mexico standard tint threshold. Sandia Toyota sold a vehicle (VIN 5TFRZ5CN0GX011891) with a legal and a safety liability. This should have been resolved before Sandia. Toyota placed it on the lot. I asked for the front passenger seat to be cleaned. I was told that it would not be shampooed, only vacuumed. This baffled me since Sandia Toyota has cleaning/detailing on staff. On the purchase day the vehicle was quickly washed and vacuumed. The cleaning done was very minimal. The glove box had trash in it, the dashboard had dust on it, and the rear passenger door’s bottle holder had a lego item. Interior cleaning issues are anywhere you look, most noticeable are - interior roof black marks and remains of a sticker by the different switches. The truck bed was not cleaned. Sandia Toyota disregarded the complete quality of the used vehicle I purchased and I am taking it for professionally cleaning/ detailing. Would Sandia Toyota (part of Group 1 Auto Motor dealerships - BMW, Land Rover Albuquerque, and Lexus Santa Fe) have omitted theses cleaning issues and safety issue from their higher end vehicles? I took my vehicle to Sandia Shine Co.LLC to be cleaned/detailed. Previously I had purchased a 2009 Toyota Tacoma Extra Cab (VIN 5TETX22N79Z644637) from a local franchise dealership. I viewed it when it arrived, prior to it being cleaned and detailed, it was very filthy. Viewing it on purchase day the interior and exterior was an extremely clean vehicle! What a difference in the high quality work from their cleaning/detailing department and customer service from a non Toyota franchised dealership! Post purchase expenses: $771.00 (Tint $536 + Cleaning/Detailing $235). More
I bought a used vehicle here and after 2 weeks of having the vehicle it started having issues. I took the vehicle to a reputable dealership to diagnose it and was told it has an expensive leak and that all the vehicle it started having issues. They told me the vehicle was leaking long before I bought it and that is apparent it wasn't properly inspected upon me taking it home. I've been trying to get the dealership to help me with this since it was broken before I bought it and then I was lied to about it being inspected and all was good with it. Be careful buying a used vehicle from here. They don't seem to care about customers it seems like its all about making a sale and that's it. More

This is an update to my first review of Sandia Toyota on 01/07/25. Finally, 34 days after trading in a car, they paid off my trade-in loan. However, since it took so long the loan continued to accrue inter 01/07/25. Finally, 34 days after trading in a car, they paid off my trade-in loan. However, since it took so long the loan continued to accrue interest. After payoff there was still a balance of $56.92 which if the loan had been paid off sooner, there would have been no balance. I left a message for the General Manager about that overage and requested they pay it but once again what I got was "crickets". In all fairness after I spoke with him the first time about the payoff the loan was paid off in 1 business day. But that took 9 phone calls, 3 emails to the dealership and 2 trips to the credit union to get that accomplished. That is the only reason my rating was 2 stars instead 1. More
