60,000 mile service on Outback Brought my Outback in for an oil change and rear brake replacement at 62,000 miles. We left the car the night before our 0700 appointment the next day. The service dept. called at 0710 to let me know that they had received the car and recommended the 60,000 mile service. They quoted the price, as well as cost for the rear brakes. They gave me the option of doing some or all of the suggested maintenance. We agreed on the complete repair suggestion. They called at 400 p.m. and told me the car was ready. They washed the car and there were no surprise additions to my bill.
