Sizing Up Subaru Service Our 2015 Subaru Forrester’s transmission has been locking up at the shifter as a result of a manufactures’ defective bulb. We had it fixed October 30, Our 2015 Subaru Forrester’s transmission has been locking up at the shifter as a result of a manufactures’ defective bulb. We had it fixed October 30, 2018 and it just happened again; obviously causing frustration. We brought it back to Larry Miller Subaru of Boise and they were very much aware of the problem and promised to correct the issue as well as make right the reimbursement of money spent for the defect. That’s great service which instills consumer confidence! More

Very disappointing with the time it took. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance to have an air bag changed out. Appointment was @9. I was told it would be ready by 2-2:30. When I called at I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance to have an air bag changed out. Appointment was @9. I was told it would be ready by 2-2:30. When I called at 3:30. I was told it wouldn’t be ready until 5. I was told the shipment of air bags didn’t come in until later that day which I feel was bull. You had plenty of notice to get it in. I wasn’t told of a issue when I dropped my car off. Had there been an issue I should have been told then. Keep up your end of the deal, I’m very disappointed. Ever since you went to express service the length of time I’ve spent there as increased to an Unexceptionable point. More
Got the exact car we wanted The dealership came up with the exact car we wanted. The color inside and out. The limited in this color and fully loaded is very rare, but our sales The dealership came up with the exact car we wanted. The color inside and out. The limited in this color and fully loaded is very rare, but our salesman and the L.H. Miller dealership found what we wanted,at a fair price and even gave us some trade-in money on our 2016 Legacy end of lease. The car had a hold on it because of a factory recall. They worked with us and gave us a loner car until the part needed arrived. Good people More

Second, service counter people lost car key for repaired vehicle. Took considerable time to find them, when other customers' keys were easily accessible. Third annoyance: service representative took us to vehicle, and observing that it is a 2013 model, he said we needed to upgrade from the old model and should purchase one at the dealership. Please know, that would not happen under any circumstances. IF we purchase another Subaru, we will shop anywhere else. More

Inefficient service Took car to get the recalled airbag replaced. My appointment was for 11:30. At 4 I had not heard back from them. I called and found out they ran out of airbags and needed to keep my car another day and said it would be ready by Noon. I didn’t hear back by 1:30 so called and the phone rang at least 20 times before it was answered, then placed on hold for several minutes then was cut off. Called again and left a message. I was then told it would be ready by 4:30. This is the third bad service experience I have had. Why schedule an appointment if you don’t have the parts available? There needs to be better coordination and communication and someone should answer the phones within 3 rings. The irony is that while on hold they kept playing a recording about winning awards for their great service. More
Quality service with excellent work. I did have an appointment for the morning. I dropped my car off and used their free service for a ride home. I came back at 3p a with excellent work. However, I still had to wait another 2 hrs. The customer waiting area is big and comfortable though. More

Half of that time I was standing there with no one in front of me and the two and sometimes three reps continued to run back and forth checking on the status of cars and calling people. An acknowledgment of me being there and a quick apology for the delay would have been appreciated. At one point a woman walked in the door and walked right up to a desk and the service rep said “how can I help you?” and proceeded to assist her with her vehicle issue and check in her car. I’d been standing there for over 15 min by that point. The staff was friendly but seemed stressed to the point that they weren’t able to manage the customers appropriately. More
