I bought brand new Hyundai Equus online with this dealer and personally flew to ABQ to pick it up. One of the salesperson, Rich picked us up at the airport and drove to the SW dealer where Sheryl was waitin and personally flew to ABQ to pick it up. Went to dealership, they had a car that was ALMOST exactly what we wanted. On Sunday March 27, 2011 at approximately 4:50 PM I was preparing to leave the Southwest Hyundai Dealership in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While I was there I spoke to a customer regarding membership with Costco and discounts on the car we had looked at and decided not to buy. After speaking to the customer a salesperson waved his hand in my face and said the manager said they were not going to honor the pricing because the vehicle is in demand. I said to him, we can always talk about this differently where he then got in my face and told me, "get the f*** off my lot." At this time Dan H****** got between us and said told me that the manager said they would not sell me a car and to leave. As I was walking away he also told me to become a salesperson and that they were trying to earn a living. I left the premises and then called to speak to the manager on duty, Frank D******. He stated that what I did was out of line and the salesperson is, "just a kid." I disagree, he is an assault and battery on a customer waiting to happen. I later called and left a message with our salesperson Dan to call me back. He did and I requsted that he make sure my personal information not be shared with the thug that works with. He assured me that would not happen. More
The best sales staff! No pressure. Friendly and concientious!!! We have a new "other" Hyundai dealership in Santa Fe. I was very impressed with the professionalism and integrity of this dealership and of Joe. He made the buying experience actually effortless and truly quite energizing instead of draining. BE VERY CAREFUL DEALING WITH SOUTHWEST SINCE DEALERSHIP DOES NOT STICK TO PRICES ADVERTISED, SALES IS RUDE AND PROVIDE FALSE INFORMATION TO GET CUSTOMER TO THEIR STORE. Sales person called to inform me abo DOES NOT STICK TO PRICES ADVERTISED, SALES IS RUDE AND PROVIDE FALSE INFORMATION TO GET CUSTOMER TO THEIR STORE. Sales person called to inform me about a $7000 used car with price a little flexible. All good in 1st visit to test drive and inspect car. Decided to buy car and at start of understanding guarantee, TTL and deciding price a "sales manager"...Joseph or Dusting...comes and says price is now $7555 and I MUST take a credit. Told him that I received call with $7000 flexible price. Pat came the reply "person who called you isn't here now. This is the best we can do for you." As if he were doing me a favor! Paul, sales person who showed me the car, made promises of "will get you best price even if asking is $7000". Think he meant best price for dealership and not customer!! :) More
I was so pleased that the salespeople really listened to me. I told them upfront "You will not sell me a car, I will buy one and only the one I really want." I did not feel pressured at any time and had that been the case, I would have walked out the door. I actually enjoyed the process of buying this car and would buy another car from Southwest Hyundai. I do not normally go to industry web sites to give a recommendation, but my recent experience with this dealership needs to be told. I went to this dealership to refinance my 2008 Sonata as advised by m recommendation, but my recent experience with this dealership needs to be told. I went to this dealership to refinance my 2008 Sonata as advised by my out of state bank, because they did not have a branch in my state. I discussed the terms I wanted with the bank and knew I could get my car refinanced and reduce my payments about $100/month for nearly the same loan length as when I bought my Sonata. When I arrived I was referred to Kevin, to help me. After telling me he could help me refinance with the terms I wanted, he then offered to check to see if I could get a new car for the same terms. He discovered I could get a 2011 Elantra close to the same terms or a 2011 Accent for exactly the same terms($100/mo less, $0 down). He recommended the Elantra or the Accent, instead of a Sonata, because I had mentioned that I was planned on doing more highway driving to other states aqnd wanted to reduce expenses. Since I had put 55,000 miles on my Sonata in 2-1/2 years, I decided that a new Accent would better reduce my gas expenses and cover me with a new warranty. Kevin ran the official numbers for a new loan and it came back with the exact terms I wanted, plus the interest rate was lower than it was on my Sonata. He then was able to show me a list of vehicles I could get for the terms I wanted. I chose an Accent that I liked and we went in to finalize the deal. While the deal was being finalized and the Accent was being detailed, Kevin introduced me to the service department manager who described how to arrange for service. When that was done, Kevin offered me something to eat and drink while waiting to meet with finance person. There were several people who had just made purchases and went in to do their paperwork so I was expecting a long wait. I was surprised that my wait was less than 10 minutes. I went in and was shown all the "extras" options that were available, but only found one I wanted. The finance person called in the finance manager to authorize the extra I chose for little additional cost by reducing the price of the car. Since I went in to the dealership right before my next Sonata payment was due, which is on the 20th of the month, I was able to avoid my next Sonata payment. My first Accent payment is due a little later than my Sonata payment was in the following month. Overall, I was VERY pleased with my experience because I was not pressured to get anything I did not want. Although they could have sold me a new Sonata for about the same payments I was currently paying, they focused on selling me what I needed, not what would make them the most money. The other thing I like is that when you get in and out of the Accent, you do not feel like you are sitting in a go cart. The seats sit higher than most small cars, which gives you a good view of the road and is easier to get in and out of. I took my family on a 200 mile day trip in the mountains and we all were quite comfortable. We used less than a half of a tank of gas and the car was not even broke in yet. It seems that despite my tank being a third smaller in size than my Sonata, I am still getting about the same miles on a tank of gas. However, the amount needed to fill my tank is about $10.00 less, so overall I am going to save a lot of money. Finally, I know that often when visiting websites, it is hard to know if the person writing about their experience is real or if it is a plant from someone who works for the business. I purchased a used vehicle from this dealer. After driving it for a couple of days, a transmission problem appeared. I went back to South West Hyundai and they were very courtious and tried to fix the driving it for a couple of days, a transmission problem appeared. I went back to South West Hyundai and they were very courtious and tried to fix the vehicle, but was unable to repair the vehicle within a reasonable cost. They went to the trouble to find me a comparable vehicle that was also three years newer than the vehicle I had originally had purchased. Let me have the replacement vehicle for the same price. All with the most wonderful courtesy I had ever seen from any dealership. Great work David and Sales team!! More
