I got a flat tire last weekend and drove to Lexus of Lindon Monday morning. My first impression is really bad due to Chris's attitude. He did not show any respect and walking around without finishing my questions. Since I have my front tire replaced a month before due to a sidewall damage, I got one as spare tire. So I am wondering whether he could just mount that tire onto the flat one to save me a lot of money. He told me he could not do one, but at least a pair and that is the rule. At that time, he did not explain why and just push the options to me. I know it is not a good ideal to have a used and brand new one on the same axis, but I don't understand why my used one won't work. At that time, he explained nothing but showing his impatience. After think about a while, I decided to get a pair replaced. I called him at noon for estimate completion time and was told my car would be done by 4pm. However, when I got there at 4 pm, my car was not even put in the garage and he has to put me on a loaner. At that time, he is always walking around without taking care of me, especially comparing to the attitude of Tess who sign me the loaner. Tess is really patient. On Tuesday, he called me that he will install one tire for me, which surprise me a lot as he was so confidently telling me he can not do one tire but a pair. This is really confusing me about how this would work with one used and one brand new. He did not explain either, just told me he could do one but recommend to do a pair. I don’t want to screw up my car and decided to do a pair. The price he told me surprised me again, $238 + tax per tire, which is crazy. I got about $159 per tire a month before. When I told him that the price could not be right as I change my front one a month before, he did not admitted his fault but make up some ridiculous excuses, like the tire price could go up and the price is different of each batch he received and etc. However, when I mentioned that I replaced my tire at your site and you should have all the records, he decided hang up my phone to look it up and will call me back. While, I never get a call back either about the price or whether my car is ready. I came back to your dealership around 5pm and fond I had a pair of tires replaced. The price is correct, $159 each. However, I remember that my tire is covered by road hazard, and have the front desk lady called him about the road hazard. He told me that my tire was not purchased at you site, so it will not be covered by the warranty and I told him that my tires were purchased from you and still have the record. I still remembered the date purchased, May, 2010. Then he told me that the warranty only covered the first two years and I am out of warranty. This surprised me again. He even did not know whether my tire was bought from you or not. He was just making up excuses to avoid the warranty. Even he is right. I am out of warranty. I will pay whatever I owe, but I do not deserve to be fooling around about the price and warranty. As a professional service guy for years, he could not mess up the price and warranty. I can not accept a liar in Lexus dealer and was so disappointed about him, his attitude, the way he treated his customer. I just moved to Orem a couple months before and always had my car serviced at Lexus of Murray. The experiences are so different, even both are owned by Larry H Miller. I chose Lexus for reasons and this is experience really frustrated me. I sent the complaint to their Director, Philip Schwemin. But never get relied. More
Jonathan showed us the car when we first came in to look. We left and looked at other cars but came back the next day and Kurt helped as Jonathan had the day off. Franklyn demonstrated very good approach to a customer. He did not apply any pressure but after 10 minutes working with him I was signing paperwork for brand new car. Very good negotiator! We were treated as family by Jonathon Henson when we first approached the Larry H. Miller dealership. No pressure, no hype. We decided we wanted the car and went in to purchase it. We were still treated as family. We have decided that after purchasing this used car the next Lexus we will purchase will be brand new from Larry H. Miller. We also hope that Jonathon will be around to sell us the new one. Kurt was great with regard to getting back to me via email regarding my interest and purchase of a 2008 Lexus RX400h. He had paperwork ready when I arrived, but I had to wait for over an hour for the fi email regarding my interest and purchase of a 2008 Lexus RX400h. He had paperwork ready when I arrived, but I had to wait for over an hour for the fianace person to be able to complete my transaction. Just prior to leaving the dealership, it was discovered that my new vehicle did not have but one key. This should have been known upon my arrival and another key obtained and ready. I have since received not one, but two valet keys. I appreciate this being taken care of. I was surprised that in, what I would call a luxury dealership, that the dress code was quite relaxed. Maybe this is an avenue to attract more customers like me with a lower level of income, but a bit more professional attire was expected. Tommy was good, not too pushy. I didn't care for the dark haired finance guy at all. The one who went over the finance and warranty info in his office was great. I didn't like the fact that I was told dark haired finance guy at all. The one who went over the finance and warranty info in his office was great. I didn't like the fact that I was told I would be given a new battery in the remote, and wasn't, so I get low battery every time I start the car. I also didn't like that I was told the paint on the door would be fixed and it wasn't. It is always easier to recommend someone when they follow through on what was promised. More
